I've just tried to book an Alcove online and it says it is £149 for 2 hours?:eek::eek:
I thought it was for the whole day???
-
Thank you all.
I will chase it up. There's nothing vital in there as far as I recall, but it would still be nice to have.
-
Do SB still sent these out? I am talking about the brown wallet with luggage labels. I haven't received anything and wonder if they do them anymore, before I chase up my TA.
Many thanks

Many thanks. Yes, the castle is closed on Mondays and the tour is of the outside walls. I'm glad I checked as I would have been very disappointed. The excursion description does not say that.
Seabourn were quick to get back to me though.
-
Does anyone have a contact email for a query I have regarding an excursion please?
We are visiting Bodrum on Monday 27 April and there is an excursion to Bodrum Castle. According to their website, it is closed on Mondays.
Many thanks :)

I am wondering how busy the ship usually is when docked overnight. We shall be there on my husband's birthday. It is tempting to book a nice meal off the ship, but we have a few nights in Istanbul afterwards. I would prefer to stay onboard but not if it is deserted!
Many thanks

SHIP: Reflection
CABIN #: 1570
DECK #: 11
CLASS: A1
AREA:
BED NEAR: Wardrobe
QUIET?: Crew access door was an issue
BALCONY VIEW: unobstructed
BALCONY SIZE: normal
WIND A PROBLEM?:no
SOOT A PROBLEM?:no
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Crew access door diagonally opposite which I could hear closing from 6am. Not really loud but once you can hear it, I couldn't 'unhear' it. Great position on the ship. No faults with the room furniture. All excellent.

I booked for 4 September. I'm not sure how far they are booking, but it know they haven't updated their website as it's still showing the 31 August! I think you'll be OK.

I share your frustration! I tried for 3 days to get through for a Colosseum tour. I was holding for ages, and then got cut off. Imagine my surprise when this morning, they answered within 3 rings! So my advice is to keep trying. Good luck!
P.s. I called at 9am Italy time.

True! Have you seen them anywhere recently??:eek::eek:

Please don't use the donkeys. I support a donkey sanctuary and they are horrified at the treatment of the Santorini donkeys. They have poor saddles and reins, little access to water and shade and are not particularly well looked after. There is more information and a petition here.

What about the hair dryers on The Reflection? Are they any better?
-
We stayed just off the Grand Canal two years ago. We stupidly left our window open one night instead of switching the AC on.
We were invaded by mozzies as we slept. They bit our arms and faces very badly. My husband spent the next night swatting them, there were hundreds of the creatures hiding in our room!
I didn't look my best for the first few days of the cruise....
-
I'm just reading the Celebrity small print, and they say I need to bring photo ID with me. Will my passport suffice, or shall I bring my driving license as well? I've not seen anyone mention this anywhere else.
-
Would anyone have a photo of a typical hair dryer on Celebrity Reflection? I have very thick hair and I'm wondering if it would be up to the job!
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your replies. I am now looking forward to visiting Taormina! :)
-
I've just heard that dates for the underground tour for September onwards will be released on 2 August, when you will have to phone for tickets. The timings of the tours look the same as currently advertised on their website.
Hope that helps someone.

I have read the many threads about Taormina, and although it sounds lovely, we are also visiting Athens and Ephesus on our cruise.
Owing to time constraints, (10am to 6pm) there is no convenient train and we'd have to get a taxi to Taormina and back, which I understand would cost €120. When we get there, the shops would be closing as well.
I guess my question is, 'if you were also going to Athens and Ephesus, would you go to Taormina?'
-
Does that apply to all balconies on the Reflection? We are in AQ and would love to be able to move between our balcony and the next stateroom. (We do know the occupants! ;))
-
Hi there
We are first time X Cruisers, and will be on the Reflection in AQ.:)
I understand we have dining in Blu, and it is complimentary, and have worked out some of the restaurants that you have to pay for. But what about the smaller venues? I've looked on the website, but it doesn't say!
I am looking in particular at Al Bacio and the AQ Cafe at the moment. I am sure the buffet must be complimentary as well. Is there a poolside diner and is that complimentary?
Is it just tea and coffee with meals that is complimentary?
And a final question - we are boarding in Rome. Any advice on the best time to arrive and which would be the least chaotic dining venue to go to when we board?
Many thanks :)
-
I sent them an email about this last week, and the auto reply said they'd get back to me in 21 days.
-
Please indulge me on a newbie question
Am I right in thinking that we may eat at Blu, MDR and the buffet for no extra charge and that all other dining options are chargeable?
I did try to look on the Celebrity website but, well.....

We have booked 2 Aqua Staterooms, 1570 and 1572 on Reflection. Could any kind person please help me with some information?
I have searched, and wonder if anyone knows which direction the beds face?
Also, is there just a shower or is there a bath as well? I have looked for ages, but can't see the information anywhere.
Do we get flowers in the room? I'd quite like to order some if not.
Someone mentioned we get iced tea in the room. As a 'Brit', That really does not appeal. Is there an option for something else?
Many thanks for any replies :)
