I was in an aft facing balcony suite on the Breakaway about a year ago with our twins who were 11 at the time and we all loved the room. Being in that suite did not lessen our use of the Haven or negatively impact our cruise in any way. It was one of our favorite vacations ever and in fact we just book the same suite for next year. I do not think you have to worry about anything as far as not being in the haven itself. The room is fantastic with the best balconies on the ship. The walk wasn't bad and the service was excellent. Enjoy your cruise.

We stayed in a Haven suite on the Breakaway in June 2013. My kids were 11 (boy/girl twins) and they loved the Haven. They ate at the restaurant by themselves and the staff was fabulous with them. They loved the Haven pool because it was empty almost all trip. The staff will take care of them and make the trip wonderful. Enjoy your trip!

Several people have posted that they do. I was wondering if they served lobster in all 3 dining rooms or just the large mdr.

I still cannot understand why they have not posted floor plans for the S6 rooms. It really is baffling given that the ship is now sailing. Originally i was told that the room designs may not have been final as the construction was ongoing. But now??? Either way I am set to go next month and will have what looks to be a great room so it all works out at the end. But I still don't get NCl's thinking...

Yes there is a second bathroom. My mom was on the ship for the christening and she went to the room I have booked (13302) and she took a pic of the 2nd bathroom. She hasn't sent me her pics yet. As soon as I get it I will post it. The 2nd bathroom does exist!! Lol
Well that is one huge mystery that we can put to bed!! Thank your mom for confirming this information. For some reason I kept hearing this but no one actually got a picture of one. Sort of the Bigfoot of the Breakaway!!

Thanks for the information. I too booked this suite over a year ago and have been waiting for a floor plan what seems to be forever. The big bathtub under the the picture window was a huge selling point to my wife as was the second bath as we will be sailing with our 11 year old twins. I'm on the 12 deck on the June 9th sailing and have been hoping for some information on this suite before sailing. I have not been able to find any pictures of the second bathroom but it sounds like its existence has been confirmed by people who have been on board. Is this right? Thanks in advance.

I still have not been able to find any floor plan. If the UK site has more information, is there any way you can copy and post it here? I appreciate any help on this. It is incredibly frustrating the way that NCL has handled this situation.

I have done some research on this. It appears that the room you are referring to at 377 sqft is an aft facing MINIsuite. Not the aft facing penthouse suite. That would explain the square footage difference. I hope that helps clarify at least this issue. As stated before, the website lacks a great deal of information which is causing lots of confusion.
-
I think that you have the incorrect information (but I can't swear by it). If appears that the aft facing penthouse suites are either 505 or 548 sqft depending on which part of NCL's website you go to. However, since they haven't updated any of this information (as everybody on this thread is frustrated with) we cannot be certain. But in any case, I have not seen the numbers you found any place and for the Aft-facing penthouse suite to be that small would not only be surprising it would be a far departure from anything they have said previously. I definitely understand your confusion and frustration though.

I just checked again and still no floor plans. I honestly cannot think of any excuse for the lack of information at this point. It is almost impossible for them not to have proposed floor plans at a minimum. It would be at least something to look at when making decisions on booking even if they are subject to change.
-
You would think. I don't believe that the cabin isn't built out yet. At some point they have to have it finalized. It seems impossible to me.
-
I am getting a little concerned about the lack of info since I already paid off my cruise and was banking on the 1 1/2 baths and additional square footage since its me, my wife and 11 year old twins in the room. I sure hope I don't end up regretting trusting the description and info provided by the pcc. Especially since I chose this cruise and its our first ncl cruise after cruising carnival and Disney only in the past.

I understand that there could be some changes made to these suites up to the time of delivery but it is hard to believe that at this point in the construction major changes will take place. It is ridiculous that they don't even have a proposed floor plan posted for certain suites (including the aft facing penthouse). THey can always post the floor plan that was submitted to the builder like they did for every other category of room that has a floor plan on the website. As others have already said, while I am very excited for my cruise, they are charging a lot of money and can at least provide a proposed floor plan.
-
I couldn't agree more. NCL really has done a poor job with updating the room info on their website. I really have been looking for floor plans for this room since I have booked it already (and paid for it). The ship is almost insisted being built so how can they not know the room deign yet? Impossible and frustrating.
-
Still no floor plan but I did see mini aft facing suites which are not haven access. Don't remember seeing them before but these could be the rooms in between the corner suites that have caused some confusion. I really think ncl should have floor plans for all of the rooms posted by now.
-
NCL couldn't make this more confusing. I believe I am safely booked in a haven aft facing penthouse. I am on the 12 deck and for what it cost it better be or I'll be oe unhappy camper! Looking at everything I think that the square footage I posted is right for the aft facing penthouse suite but I couldn't swear what the layout will be or which cabins are actually the suites and which are not. NCL really has not done a good job with the information on their site dealing with this cabin. They still have not even posted a floodplain for it.

The breakaway's aft penthouse is 548 sqft vs. the epic's which is listed at 322 sqft. So you are correct the Breakaway's are actually over 200 sqft bigger according to the website. It he breakaway's suite is actually slightly bigger than the 2 bedroom family suite on the Epic (which is 506).
-
The Aft Facing Penthouse on the Breakaway is 100 sqft bigger than on the epic according to the descriptions. I certainly expect it to have a separate tub and shower based upon the description and artist renditions. As you said, the picture shows a separate large tub under a large window which means that I would be very disappointed if it is not somewhat similar to the picture.
-
The one thing that is nice bout the aft facing penthouse on the breakaway is that it about 100 sqft larger than on other ncl ships and has 1 1/2 baths. So there is t least some extra value based on space not just the haven access.
-
I was looking at the Beakaway site (thanks for the link!) and I didnt see an aft NON-Haven penthouse Suite. Did they make all the aft penthouses all Haven (with the accompanying higher price)?
I believe that all aft facing penthouse suites on the Breakaway have Haven access and thus the higher price tag. That was what I was told when I booked one by the PCC.

I have no doubt that the cabins will be great. Very excitedly go - only 48 more weeks:). Hopefully they will update the room layouts as soon as they are available as I definitely am curious to see what it look like. Until then I guess we all will wait together!
-
Like I said in the OP, this is our first time on NCL but the ship and the room description sounded so nice that we had to try it. I can't wait to see exactly what I booked though. It definitely is strange that no one has been able to get a floor plan for this room while every other cabin seems to have one.
-
I hope that the NCL Webmaster sees this because I am really curious given that I already paid for the suite sight unseen. One of the reasons I booked this one is because it of the 2nd bathroom. I am traveling with my wife and 10 year old twins so that was definitely a consideration :).
-
I will take a look at the aft-facing corner. However, I saw that the Aft-facing Penthouse on the Breakaway is about 100 sqft bigger than the same cabin on the Epic and the other ships. Is that true with the corner suites?

I stayed in an Aft Facing Balcony Suite on the Breakaway and had absolutely no problems with smell or soot. I would also point out that I have an autistic son who is very sensitive to smells and has a phobia or germs and dirt so if there was any issue he would have had a very difficult time. I was on deck 12 and just booked for June 7, 2015 for deck 11. Don't hesitate to stay in an aft facing, the balconies are great and you will love the cruise.
