You receive a summary of the cruise document on the last evening that documents the route taken, port activity and other navigation info, but every cabin gets that.

We have not received this the last two cruises. I've read it was a casualty of cost cutting,  but can't be sure.

The atlas the OP refers to has to be the thing now called Destination Collections. That's the thing that is a Platinum perk.

I guess what you call a sofa differs from what I call a sofa... haven't been on RCCL in years, but have been on the new Celebrity ship - CC cabin class on Equinox, Ecilpse,  Shiloutte

and recently one NCL ship don't recall the name... mini suite type cabin.  Celebrity had a hard foam block on seat and back so uncomfortable never used it was all that I saw; don't recall any sofa on NCL ship at all.  By contrast on Princess with a mini suite I get a sofa bed which is comfortable and bath tub.   I prefer Princess mini suites cabins... to what I have seen on Celebrity, NCL, Cunard and the new HAL ships.

I did not know there was a debate as to what constituted a sofa. And I just have too many things going on right now to want to get into a duel.

what cruise line have you seen this on, in a balcony?  We have cruised 9 lines over the years, only see i mini suite category??

We've had a sofa on every cruise line other than Princess. That includes Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL and Celebrity. Actually, the Royal Caribbean cruise and one of the Carnivals weren't even balcony cabins. They were OV cabins and still had a sofa.

  4. The schedule info under Journey View for our Oct. 5 Regal cruise is in conflict with the entertainment email we received a few days ago from Princess. Which should I believe?

Best example is the app shows Sweet Soul Music in the Princess theater on embarkation day. The email refers to three other production shows. They can't be doing four shows on a 7-night cruise, can they?

  5. Yes, Europe cruises were included in June. Just about every kind of cruise is included, but it's always for stuff that is a year (give or take) away. For example, assuming Princess offers Sip and Sail again next June, it would be for sailings from spring 2021 and later.

Good luck with that request.  They don't seem inclined to add new stickies for topics that are constantly posted such as dress recommendations.  Any day now, we are due for a new one to commence.

If I  understand, the OP is not asking for a sticky, just that Sky Princess be included in the choices under "select ship."

Update- Princess finally called back my TA today (Tuesday).

I got a full suite on the Regal with a large wrap around balcony (aft). Maybe it was worth the week wait for the call back.

In any event, I'm  happy with the upgrade, and the price they charged for it was a song, compared to what was being advertised.

Princess works in strange and mysterious ways.

Congrats. I'm pretty sure you're going to love it.

That was jasbo49 who referred to the “lies the crew tell us” about the MDR lunch on embarkation day, not me. However I too have experienced ...

I did not use that terminology. Please don't put quotes around words and attribute them to me.

I understand you wanting to disavow what you didn't say, but be careful.

So I just got off of the Caribbean Princess last week. I had 2 old coffee cards (ya know, the old brown ones?). One card had one punch left on it, the other card was full - no punches out of it. The barista gave me a coffee drink for the one remaining punch and the full card?  They took it, with my name and cabin number and I was credited $2.50 (or $2.75 - can’t remember) per punch. It came out to more than I originally paid. Princess really came through - on the Caribbean!

Good news. I'm glad I didn't throw away the ones I have. There's at least one virgin one, so maybe that should cover our 7-day cruise next month on the Regal.

... One of the terms agreed to when requesting the cards was "Coffee cards cannot be sold, or otherwise transferred to any individual. Coffee package cards are only valid for use by the purchaser."

I'm not sure where one has to go to find that language. It certainly doesn't appear on the Cafe Select card or the New Grounds card I have.

Obviously, that gives them a leg to stand on in opposing sales. But I'm still not sure what their excuse is for devaluing them after they were sold.

I know, there's more legal jargon about Princess having "the right to alter the terms" of whatever they want. But this kind of move makes a lot more enemies than friends.

Cheated by selling the cards on eBay so that someone could purchase it at a very reduced rate some of which were counterfeit cards but looked exactly like the real ones.

I know lots of posters feel this way, and I suppose Princess does too, but I don't consider it cheating.

If you are given a watch upon retirement, you're perfectly free to sell it. If you get a set of wine glasses for opening up a new account at the bank, they're yours to do with what you choose, and if Princess gives your two coffee cards in lieu of the mini-bar setup you didn't want, do what you like. Use them, sell them, whatever. They're yours.

Always found the coffee to be fine brewed or otherwise.  😉

Which, let's face it, means you're not picky about your coffee.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't. I often find that one of the best things about the end of a cruise, besides getting our dog back, is having truly good coffee again.

I don't see how Princess can invalidate a card they willing sold with no expiration date.

If they wanted to create and sell new cards with expiration dates that's fine as the purchaser was made aware at that time.

I will be using my card shortly..........they'll be hell to pay if it's refused.

I agree with the first two paragraphs. After that, you're dreaming. Good luck.
