No, it never felt uncomfortable or too adult of over the top.
It felt fun and relaxed all at the same time.

I've cruised both lines (not back to back) and agree with all you have said.
The experience on Virgin is just top notch. Both of our cruises were about 60% full. One of out Miami and one out of Barcelona. They have become our favorite line

Great work so far. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Bumping this thread to ask ...
Has anyone been able to use the future cruise deposits on rooms below Sea Terrace level? Pretty sure the onboard sales desk told us we could use them on anything, but also pretty sure there is a lot of miscommunication between onboard sales and real life/shoreside.
I know the website definitely lays it out as Sea Terrace and above only. When we booked our future cruise credit last week, the person at the desk told us it was for sea terrace and above room categories

I saw a couple of news channels, ESPN and ESPN2. The reception on ESPN was spotty.
Movie selection was decent

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation despite a couple of set backs!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We sail Epic next year and really looking forward to it.
-
We sail her in June and can not wait!! Enjoy your cruise!!

Today is the 80 day mark until our cruise. I have not received an email offer to bid on an upgrade. Does that mean I am not going to? :(:(:(
Not necessarily. We didn't receive our upgrade email until 25 days out and it's still not showing on my booking page online.
-
It's not on my account and I haven't received an email so I'm guess my travel agent does not participate. Weird since it's a large online agency
-
how far ahead do you typically get the email? We are 80 days out

Hint: Don't fill up on the appetizers but save room for the crab. Most I could eat was six half crabs in the allotted 50 minutes. Only room for one bite of the delicious NY-style cheesecake with blueberry compote.
Here is a link to my photo reviews of several Crab Feasts (via boat and flight):

Thank you!!!

Thank you both for you input. I think we are going to do the crabfeast. My husband doesn't think the scenery will be much different. That gets us both what we want.

Doug,
Knowing Sue's affinity for gummy bears, has she had opportunity to read the Amazon reviews for the Haribo sugar free gummy bears? Nothing but pure entertainment.
Rick
My curiosity got the best of me and I had to go look. Thank you!!! you are correct - great entertainment!

Doug and Sue
Thank you!!! for taking the time to share your valuable vacation with us. I can not wait until August!

My husband and I are sailing the Bliss in August for an Alaskan cruise. It will most likely be our only cruise to Alaska. I'm trying to decide which tour to take in Ketchikan.
We can either take a Misty Fjords floatplane tour with island wings or a flightseeing tour and crab feast that goes to the George Inlet Lodge. My main objective is to ride a floatplane. Will I miss out on better scenery if we do the crab feast option?
If anyone has done both tours, which would you recommend?
The price is about the same for both.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
