Just your sweat.

Just told a friend about the new policy, he was very irate about it ! I do believe he wasn't leaving the full amount of tips he should have been. One of those people who skip out on MDR so they don't have to tip. Oh Well, I'm in Favor of it !

About time ! Saves us from carrying extra cash on the cruise !

I have 1260 booked for a cruise in June. This thread now has me wondering if I should not try to move the room now.
If you indicated that 1264 had some of the balcony covered....do you remember if the majority of the hot tub was further forward or aft of your old cabin?
Geez I never thought that this would be a problem.
Thanks
Scott
Mainly aft, but we didn't consider it a problem. The shade was nice !

Made the final payment today, printed out setsail pass. 90 days to go !

Are you sure you were in 1264. We've been in 1268 on Freedom and it appeared that 1264 was entirely covered. There's no 1266 so we were right next door. We even checked it out from the water while on an excursion. My comment to DW at the time was that we dodged a bullet by one cabin. It looked worse from the water.
Positive ! Just looked at our balcony pics and less then half the rear part is covered by the hot tub.
-
The set up of Freedom must be different from IOS. When we were in 1264, the hot tub only covered about half our balcony, which made it nice ,because we had some shade to relax in if we wanted. Also, the plexiglass had more of a yellowish tint to it which didn't bother us at all.

I added it to the bottom of the list(see above):D
Thank You, I've been looking for the email address for the concierge on Freedom without any luck, till you posted it !
-
With a little bit of research on the RCCL thread, I came up with what I beleieve are the current Concierges on the Oasis. There are actually two. Their names are Allan Fajardo and Francis Calimag according to a 12/5/12 posting on the RCCL thread. The email address that seems to appear on that thread is OA Concierge01@rccl.com or
OA Concierge02@rccl.com. If that doesn't work, I would suggest calling RCCL and asking a cruise specialist for the email addresses.
Can you tell me how you found these, I'd like to get ahold of the concierge on Freedom with some questions. Or do you know their email address. Thanks in advance !

Did they allow JS guests into Barefoot Beach?
Barefoot beach is reserved for those with the gold sea pass card, which is Grand Suite and above....so I'm told !
-
Gold SeaPass cards are only issued to Suite Guests and Pinnacle Club Members.
Go back to the original post ! Gold sea pass cards are for Grand Suite and above ! They were asking what the perks were for GS !
-
Not sure what you are already entitled to as D+ members, but the perks we enjoy with the gold card are priority seating at the shows, pool and ice rink. If you have to go to explorations desk or guest services, you get a priority line but the concierge should take care of all your needs. Free movie for the DVD . Priority tenders, access to barefoot cabanas, priority boarding, sushi and strawberrys in your room and in room dining from the main menu. I'm sure I've forgotten a few but this keeps us coming back to GS . Hope this was helpful !

26 for Monarch, 196 for Freedom !
-
61 till Majesty. Then 320 till freedom.
-
For the ultimate in perks, it's Diamond or D+ in a suite. They pretty much let you drive the ship.
-
We too are Diamond members and enjoy any amenities that Royal gives us, no matter how silly. It is a small token, but still a token of recognition none the less.
-
It's usually a week to update your cruise status. Cant help you with the pin, we are Diamond status and have never got a pin. The cruises are just as much fun without the pin !

Waiting for our next cruise to book Enchantment. Looking at Sept. of 13 out of PC. Enjoyed the Monarch, but a bigger ship will be nice !
Transfer to Port Canaveral?
in Royal Caribbean International

Yes they offer transfers. We have always used RCIs transfers and booked our hotels thru them also. I call RCI to make hotel arraingements and transfers. I think our last trip was $72 per person round trip. If you are staying in Orlando the day before, take the Mears shuttle from the airport to your hotel, then RCI will pick you up at the hotel the next day. And yes you should arrive a day early for every cruise. There are probably other, cheaper ways to do this, but we feel safe using RCI for all arrangements !
