Tours opened for booking today, 67 days out, lucky we are in the U.K so 8am, had it sorted by 8.15 am, everything and times we wanted. Thanks to all the advice given "how to do it" on this Viking Board.

It's called back bacon,streaky is fat running thru it ,both nice,but back bacon for me !!!

IsViking payment different in the uk ? booked months ago,payed 25% deposit,final payment next week for january 19 cruise !!

Thanks PHOTOPRO2, good info as we are doing it in January, we get in to MIA at 14.10 and booked to SANIi at 17.25,so hoping for a speedy route through MIA.If we dont manage it they will have to book us on the later one !!

As a first timer on Viking I am very pleased re the service from tellus@vikingcruises.com,sent a question and within hours had a telephone call answering my query.Great service,looking forward to the cruise.:cool:

Went around the horn in early March 2017,sea was very rough on night before,woke up at 2.30 am,sliding up and down the bed, (I'm 224 ibs !!!) drawers opening and closing with a bang,cans of soda rolling about !! sorted all that, went back to sleep,woke up at 9.30 am, missed the horn lol.:D

Pretty sure that as you are in and out (Gibraltar) of Europe you are allowed to bring back the allowance from both ,i.e one litre of strong spirits from outside and what you want from inside (duty paid) as long as it's not for resale !! so for yourself or gifts .:)I did check with BRITISH customs some years back and that was what i was told.

Which outside cabins on Explorer decks 4/5 have a window not a porthole ?

We were on the Dream in march ,food was very good,decor ok (didnt see anything bad ) entertainment in theatre was to loud and repetetive ,music etc in bars was very good. Of course only my opinion,everybody expects different, but was a good cruise for us.

Had luggage labels with cabin No on at uk departure airport,we picked luggage up at arrival airport ,took them to coach,did'nt see them until they were delivered to cabin then,worked well.:D:D

We are going in June,just had the tour booklet sent ,usually two months before your cruise,we have four "stops" and there are a lot of choice's at each one ,to many to put here sorry,but nobody can book before the "booklet time" so you should be ok to do what you want.

Waited ages from Quidco,gave them a nasty e-mail and they banned me ,completely forgot about it ,two years later an email saying it was in my account and it was, £20, (took it out sharpish lol ) yes there is a wait ,yes it's slow ,but if it is the same price what;s to lose ! :)

And no credit card charges !!!!

What was your impression of The Dream?

 

Been on. her numerous times,last time was 4/5 years ago and on her again soon

Our impression is good,crew really top class,entertainment fair to good,food very good,ship very clean ,going again in october,so I think that say's it all !!. Have a good trip.

Just off the Dream,water's edge three man group very entertaining,and talented .

Just got off the Dream today (16th) Hand sanitisers in lots of places,did'nt see or hear anything,so all ok now.:D

I always book parking:D thru MONEY SAVING EXPERT'S SITE,always double check but in over 15 times IT is cheaper (of course early as possible is best.) ENJOY !!

There seem's to be a lot of reviews in dec/jan of a continuing sickness bug on the Dream,does anybody know what Marella are doing about it ?, have read reports re "deep cleaning" but is it getting results ?? on dream early March so have concerns !!

Agree with JOHN BULL,we were on Dream oct 17,booked to go on her in March 18/and oct 18 so...................

Look at the bad and good reviews and then take a middle view !! enjoy !!!:)

Always found airport parking cheaper thru Money Saving Expert than cashback sites,also had big problems with Quidco took 2 yrs for one payment ! I had given up on it !.But it turned up .
