What's the difference between Blanton's and my current fav Woodford Reserve?  Smokier? Just curious on what you all think.  Yes, I will try it on my next cruise in September😉

I love Woodford, I hate to admit my uncle and I have a shot or 2 of it every evening.

I may be the crazy one here, but I was not a fan of Blanton's at all when I tried it last week. I tried it neat, over ice, and in an Old Fashion. I will stick with my Woodford, Eagle Rare, Angel's, or even Buffalo Trace.

Even if my DH was standing at the bar, I would grab both receipts and sign them, forging his signature.  I'm his "travel" secretary.😉

We do the same.  Not even a real signature, just a squiggly line.  What an exercise in futility!

I did the same last week with Mom, and you know what? You dont even need a pen to sign, your fingernail can be one! A few bartenders got a good kick out of that!

Great read!  Too bad I found it a bit too late!

First time on CCL since 2015, we took the kids.

Do they still make you sign for your drinks?

I remember back then, waiting in line for 20 mins for a drink, wife found a table and stayed with it, but would only let me buy 1 drink, so she had to go back in line herself and wait inline also

By the time she got back mine was empty. lol

We are staying in Havana, for her 50th Bday on Horizon.

We have Cheers, this time as well.

Yes, you do still have to sign a $0 receipt for your drink.....so annoying. However, every bar we went to would allow mom to take my card with her, or vice versa, and order me (or her) a drink as well. We would just wave from the table at the bartender and they would make both. :)

@pirate4me2 great review, thank-you. I really want to try Havana but I’m so cheap…you’re pushing me to the dark side 🙂

You should try it! A Havana interior is “even ok” as my mom puts it, because you have that big, huge, wonderful back deck area.

Precious is really the deli person’s name?😳

That’s what I’m saying! I have met a few ladies named Precious, it’s just the irony of this one that’s got me shocked.

So we spent some quality time with Jeff and Patti at Red Frog Pub. When we noticed we were moving, we parted ways and Mark and I somehow ended up in the pizza line. Twice. 🤷 Then moved over to Tides bar. No Keshore. We were ignored for about 30 minutes but we entertained ourselves talking to some 21 y/o kids. Finally got drinks and made some new friends, a 20 something guy and his dad. Then hit the deli. Oh Lordy, Precious still works there. 🤦

How was the pizza? lol B had a MAJOR craving on the way home 😂 Her trainer is ticked off already. Bahaha.

Wonder where Keshore has been moved to? He was awesome. I’m currently missing him and my “Cuban iced teas with Diet Pepsi please!” His personality and attentiveness to his guests was top notch!
Precious?? Is that really her name? No joke, all week long we looked for her name with no luck. It was always not on/covered up by apron. I loooove the deli but she was a real dealbreaker at times.

Met Keshore at the Tides Bar. He's not in Havana this week. Stephanie and the gang made quite an impression last cruise! 😁

Oh laws! It did get to the point he would see me walk up and just make my drink. 😂

Yes, We've earned one badge in over 25 reviews covering 38 cruises. Good thing that we do our reviews for our Cruise Critic family, and not Cruise Critic! 😃

    Your reviews are much appreciated!!

Thank you Stephanie and a big thank you to entertaining us this past week while we waited oh so patiently for our turn to board. 😊

I missed the Vista's arrival this morning! Marine Traffic shows you arrived at 4:45 am so that's probably why the ship was cleared so early. Thank you for bringing her back safe and sound, we'll take good care of her!

This morning's views from our front and back doors. Usually you can't pull me away from our back view but today I'll be running out the front door!! 😍

Did the steak and cheese taste better without the extra side of attitude? 😂

lol!! It was delicious. I truly love the deli on the Carnival ships…it’s my go to lunch spot (as yall saw this week) and if we don’t do MDR dinner 9 times outta 10 I’ll hit it up for that too! It’s quick (usually) with enough variety I don’t get bored. This week it was mostly delicious…I discovered a new favorite, the chicken salad, along with the veggie burger too. I love the deli!

  10. Tonight consisted of bar hopping, to be totally honest. We went from the atrium, to Alchemy (Goran made a 40 is the new 20, raspberry something, proper absinthe, and an old fashion) to the Ocean Plaza (Setyo made one last espressotini, so good!) to Havana (I HAD to say bye to Kishore). Now we are packed up an enjoying some treats from Guest Services due to a squeaky balcony divider we called about earlier this week.

All in all…Vista has redeemed herself as my #1 favorite ship. I’ve had some great experiences with some of the crew, and I love the Havana area….it can’t be beat! The itinerary this week was great, and I love cruises from PC. June can’t come soon enough for Chris’s bday getaway!

I wanted a Steak & Cheese so bad on our last cruise, but I can't eat bell peppers without tasting them for several hours (sorry). Anyway so I asked if I could get one without peppers but, you guessed it the answer was "No!" 😞 They did let me get a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich without the sauce though, so I guess I'm ahead. 🤣

    You were ahead for sure!!!

Just caught up! I got off the Mardi Gras this morning, so I've been busy, but now that I'm off your live is helping me ease back into regular life, lol. Looks like you're having a great time so far. I might have to try the Vista one of these days. I really, really love the Excel ships, but you're making the Vista seem just as amazing! Hmm, I wonder how my husband would feel about booking another cruise so soon after we just got back.

I love the Excel class, but I truly think Vista class in the Havana area is my favorite.

  13. So I will say….dinner tonight is going to be the deli, and I’m going to try and see if the mood/attitude is better. I don’t make any special requests (other than no fries), so I’m not sure why I’ve had the experience I’ve had. But anyway…moving on…

We got up about 930 today and hit up Blue Iguana for breakfast. Y’all..,I had the best idea…BREAKFAST TACOS!!! Get the huervos rancheros, no eggs, and take them to the toppings bar. It’s like chicken tacos for breakfast! Ahhhh! I was in heaven. New favorite breakfast onboard.

After breakfast, we, uhhh…what did we do? Packed. I know we did that. We also walked the shops again. Around 1:30 we hit up Pig & Anchor for lunch, which was good. IMG_2425.thumb.jpeg.b818e9b84973f25fd4a0084486a43156.jpeg

Yikes! You’re making me not want to go to the deli.

    Which I do a lot.

We’re sailing in 3 weeks and if she’s still there and has an attitude such as this, I will give her a second chance.

Then I will simply smile at her, find an officer and fix the problem.  Forget that noise.  I’m not dealing with that all week.

She better not give Patti or I attitude or I will be speaking to the Food and Beverage manager. Hopefully,  she just had a bad week, which happens. 😎

I meant to go last night and talk to someone about her, but the problem is, I don’t know her name. B and I looked yesterday and the day before, and she hasn’t had a name tag on…or if she does, it’s covered up. She had a lady helping her yesterday for a little bit and I don’t want to get the wrong person in trouble.
