Thanks for the response!
....are dinner menus for free dining rooms posted in advance?
If so where...outside restaurant, on the app?
Also are speciality restaurant menus available in advance? .
Thanks again!
yes.
Both!
yes. again, posted near the door and on the app. Actually, if you search the internet and/or these boards long enough, you should be able to find them now.
Enjoy!

Happen to recall if any of the waterslides have a posted weight limit? The website is annoyingly vague.
Thanks in advance. -
Upcoming cruises may or may not be cancelled, but they've pulled it off the website. At least for now.

I mean, there's a pool right there in port. Free of charge.

We stayed in the 12532 equivalent on the Star. FANTASTIC room.
Just a heads up: there's no Murphy bed. Only the main beds and the full-size fold out couch.

FLL to Tri-Rail station via free shuttle
Tri-Rail to MIA Airport
Shuttle to POM via a gazillion shuttle options.
-
10:00 AM out of Miami
10:45 AM out of FLL
I know FLL is further away, but wasn't sure it it was worth the extra 45 minutes for later departure.
Thanks!
With that tight of a time crunch, it may come down to something really simple like what the other people on your shuttle are flying. Delta is in the 2nd terminal in FLL but is the next to last at MIA. If everyone else on the MIA shuttle is flying American & United, you may be sitting on the bus a few extra minutes.
Also keep in mind that's a holiday weekend (Memorial Day). Expect larger than usual traffic.
Good luck!

My husband, son and I will be on the Escape in July and we have cruised on RCL (love) and Carnival (dislike) so I wanted to know how the MDR works on NCL?
Any input on how the MDR would be awesome.
The MDR at the back of Deck 7 (named The Manhattan Room) has a dress code requirement for the gentlemen: long pants. I've seen a couple of shorts in there despite the rule, but it exists.
The MDRs on Deck 6 (Taste and Savor) have no such requirement. Shorts are more than welcome.
And the menus at all 3 are more or less identical.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anywhere that refers to groups of customers as 2nd class.
I know that in film, there's ...
First Assistant Directors
Second Assistant Directors
Second Second Assistant Directors.

Good day.
For those that have docked in Belize since the remodel, are you aware of the walking distance from the ship to Harvest Caye?
Many thanks!
If I had to compare it to an existing dock's length, I'd probably compare it to Ocho Rios.
Definitely shorter than Costa Maya & Cozumel.
As mentioned, there are complimentary golf shuttles that can transport you the length of the dock. In addition, there are also benches on the covered dock every bit or so should someone who chose to walk need a breather.

I really am more concerned about missing good shows!! What does everyone reccomend??
Any tips or suggestions are truly welcomed!! Thanks in advance
On NCL's later ships (Epic, _away, Escape), the entertainment is done a bit differently than what your used to. Instead of having a unique show in the main theater each night, they'll have a couple of shows that repeat throughout the week in the big theater and then a couple of other acts (comedy, illusion, dueling pianos, etc.) in some other venues.
All shows (with the exception of Illusionarium, which is more of a dinner theater type deal) are free. You can attend either one of two ways:
1. You can book ahead of time a multitude of ways. Online, onboard via the iConcierge app or your TV, or visiting the theater box office.
2. If you don't have the show pre-booked already, you can show up about 15 minutes before showtime and if there are still seats available, you can walk in after scanning your card. (We did this for both main shows on the Getaway in December.)
I preferred "Million $ Quartet" because it had an actual storyline. (Burn the Floor was just a series of dance numbers.) But hey, some people really love dance. To each his own.
Most of all, enjoy your cruise!

They look like claustrophobic coffins.
They're really not. There's more square footage per person in a studio than there is in a 3-person mini-suite.
-
I've slept in both the couch bed (Star) and the Murphy (Dawn) in the SJ suite. The Murphy was more comfortable.
Be aware that if the room is marked as handicapped, there is *NO* Murphy bed in the room. We found out the hard way and had to have an extra bed brought in.
I love the SJs and wish more ships offered them.

As of Dec. 4th, Atrium & Spice H2O movies included:
Batman v. Superman
Gravity
Mary Poppins (!)
Rocky
Big Fat Greek Wedding 2
Up
Movie Channel in the room included (among others):
Force Awakens
Creed
Captain America: Civil War
Captain America: Winter Solider
Concussion
Everest

Is turn down service offered to all guests on the Getaway? Just wondering if the staff will be setting up the beds for the kids?
Everyone. Even the Studios.

Are airport shuttles readily available at the port of Miami when you disembark?? Four of us are heading to FLL airport. Or should we reserve a private car to get us there?? If so, what time do we schedule our pickup?? Can we get off the ship at anytime to meet the ride?? Our flight is at 1:30pm. Thank you!!!
Just used the POM to FLL NCL shuttle last weekend. $25pp and you can use OBC to pay for it.

could you check if there are any non alcoholic drinks besides a Shirley Temple and Roy Rogers? (I've heard of something frozen called a Bushwhacker?) My nine year old will be with us and I promised her she could have a special drink too once in a while!
Thanks!!
Back in January, I got the UBP perk even though I'm not a drinker. That Monday(?), the Drink of the Day was the Rebellious Fish. I asked one of the bartenders if they made it in a non-alcoholic version. And if they did, would it be called the "Well-Behaved Fish"?
Anyway, the bartender mixed up some of the fruit juices that go into a RF and created a fruit punch concoction that was outstanding. Your 9 year old would definitely enjoy it.
-
If the first two people in the cabin have the UBP as a promotion the third person does not have to purchase a package if they don't drink right?
Correct. It's only if you buy the package separately once you get on the boat that you have to buy it for every person in the cabin.

I am planning to go to the Dec. 18-26 Norwegian Breakaway 8 day holiday cruise to Bahamas/Florida. Currently the BX rooms is the cheapest that I've ever seen and I've been tracking prices for the past few weeks.
One thing to keep aware of with the BXs is that you do *NOT* get the "free" perks as with other rooms. That's why the BXs are so inexpensive when compared to the rest of the rooms.
We booked a BX on Epic a few years ago and eventually got assigned an Aft Balcony. It was awesome.
Good luck!

Is there any way of getting better pizza.
Cruise of out Civitavecchia?
-
Choosing our 3 free specialty restaurants on Breakaway. We have chosen Cagneys and La Cucina. Would you choose Moderno or Le Bistro as the third?
Depends on your personal tastes.
Do you like quiet ambiance, French Cuisine, and wearing long pants? Le Bistro is for you.
Do you like meat, meat, and meat? Moderno.
-
Book it. No penalty for cancellations in the MDRs.
-
it really seems like the premium that they are placing on these suites has drastically outpaced the value that they provide.
It's the Free at Sea perks. They've been priced into the room at this point.
