Pennies haven't been used on US military bases overseas in... sheesh, must be 30 years or so now. IMO, I would be quite happy if they quit making pennies altogether, they're a pain in the butt.

If the penny is no longer produced or used in Canada, one has to think that pricing on items is such that pennies are not required. No one would price something for $1.99, for example. The price went up to $2.00.

 

I'm imagining all the items that are now priced as much as four cents higher so no pennies required.

 

The price for example if 1.92 is a 1.90 and if 1.93 is 1.95.

NCL is introducing a new service charge for room service and is also bringing in a new restriction: all food must be consumed in the designated food area and cannot leave that area. This means that you cannot take any food or I assume beverage back to your cabin with you. I don't know how they plan to enforce it, but I am sure that they have a plan.
