  1. I was just on the Escape on the June 10th sailing. There are signs at the main pool that say Adults Only. My 17 year old son was able to use the main pool with us and no issue. However, when his 11 year old cousin joined him, they were told they couldn’t use that pool. So they went to the family pool under the slides. As my 17 year old walked through that area around the water toys with his cousin, someone from NCL came told him he was too old to be allowed in that area. (He was told he could use the family pool, but not the area next to it that has a playground that sprays water on kids).
  2. I just flew back to the States from Rome last week. The FCO Airport in Rome is one of the most chaotic, challenging airports I’ve ever been in. Leave yourself plenty of time to get through all the lines. During our online checkin, Delta Airlines recommended arriving to FCO Airport 3 hours early. We arrived exactly 3 hours early and by the time we went through all the lines, we arrived at our gate with only 20 minutes to spare. Also keep in mind the port in Civitavecchia (Rome) is about 45-60 minutes away from the airport. So in all you’ll need to budget about 4 hours for the airport.
  3. I just returned from the June 10-20 sailing on NCL Escape. We received a letter in our cabin about the Verifly requirement the night before arriving in Malta, but it also stated that if you haven’t completed it you can just show your Covid vaccination card. We brought our cards with us on our excursion, expecting to show it when asked. However, no one from the cruise line or Malta authorities asked us to see any of the requirements. It was good that we had our cards on us “just in case,” but not one person asked us to see our cards or Verifly. Enjoy your cruise!
