  1. I don't know if its been mentioned - But putting your Card in your pocket along with Mobile Phone or in your Phone case will demagnetize your Card .

I don't like anything around my neck - But will try a Lanyard next time and see how I go . Had to get a few Cards replaced due to the Demag issue on my last Cruise -

It's quite unlikly to get a card with a magnetic strip.

The current cards are of the RF ID type and are unaffected by minor magnetic fields.

  2. Lanyards remind me of work. I had to wear one for years and never could wear my necklaces because they kept getting tangled with the darn thing.

On my last two cruises you had to put the key card in a slot for the power to stay on so you couldn't just leave it in a holder on the lanyard anyway.

I bet any card will do ;)

When I cruise Disney I wear my lanyard.... but I like to pin trade.

When I go next month on Carnival I do not plan on using a lanyard... I have a ton of pockets in my cargo shorts.

  3. I googled this sailing. It appears it will be a bunch of computer geeks. When it comes to group cruises, I would think they would be quite layed back. Truthfully, I wouldn't worry about this group. Except of course the wifi will be challenged that week with all those geeks and their Mac Books and laptops.

It could be much worse. I was reading recently about a large group of bikers that essentially took over the ship. There would definately be a different vibe on that ship.

I would bet there will be other passengers who will not even notice they are there. I have been on group cruises and was surprised at how well RCL handled the separate entertainment.

Strike up a conversation and you might found out about some new cool computer thing.

    :)

Laid Back, ??? Thanks because you dont work with a bunch of crazy nerds ;)

These guys can be a total blast to hang out with...

  4. Yes, it CAN need antibiotics but people go to the doctor expecting antibiotics.

My medical file actually has a big note in it.

"I am not here for pills."

I had to explain to Kaiser I want them to tell me,

if I am going to live or not.

If I need a cast or not.

If I am going to spread it or not..

I do not like taking meds. I am blessed with good health and I eat right and take care of myself. The Doctor would have to insist I take pills or die or it wont happen.

If I had to take pills, I would certainly look for the cheapest way to get them including self importing them.

  5. I worked for a large Hospital group so spent a lot of time waiting on and riding elevators. I'm a fairly big guy and when the door would open I would stand in the doorway and look at the herd trying to jam in and would politely mention that if they don't back-up and let folks off first there is no room for them.

    When I don't take the stairs ^^^^

I normally wont use an elevator on a cruise ship. I also dont gain wait on a cruise. ;)
