I have a question for anyone who's been on the Paradise recently or is going soon and had their port changed. The letter said we get a $25 pp obvious. It isn't showing up yet. Did/does it show up for anyone before your cruise? We have 25 days and it isn't there. I don't want to email Carnival if it's not something that shows up before hand.

Hello,

I know there are some optional "upgraded" items you can pay for, but other than that, is it still free? I only ask because I just read a review that said there was a $65 charge. (They also complained about the "mandatory" gratuities tacked on at the end of the cruise). I just wanted to double check!

Does Carnival use any down bedding? I am allergic. While I don't remember having this issue 5 years ago when we sailed, a recent review I read mentioned the comfortable down duvet. I will be in a grand suite in the Paradise, if that matters.

Is there a way to find out what day of the cruise this is without booking it? If it's on our Cozumel plus day, I don't want to do it in case we are just spent at the end of the day. Thanks

To go along with this: Does calling sometimes give a different price, or do you only call when the fare viewer shows a drop?

Is there any way to find out if there is any kind of "specialty group" going on your cruise?

I ask because my cruise that is 250 days away has all the junior suites booked. I also know a local radio show that does a cruise, and that is open to be booked by anyone on the website.

I know the cabins are probably just booked, but just made me curious if this information we available anywhere. :)

I can't remember what rate I booked. I have looked at my confirmations and cruise manager and can't find anything saying it. I am sure I booked one with price protection, but want to know for sure. Is there a place I am missing that has this information, or do I need to contact my PVP?

Hello! It's been a while since my last(and first) cruise so, I have a few questions that I am sure some of you know the answers to.

Going on the Paradise, booking a GS and doing Carnival excursions: Any reason to get FTTF?

If I booked with the 1/2 deposit and $50 OBC ES rate and find a better price, do I have to put the rest of deposit down? Do I lose the OBC?

I know the Paradise doesn't have the alchemy bar, but I saw somewhere that a bar onboard had the martini tasting for $21, where you get to taste a few different ones. Is this true?

On our first cruise on the Ecstasy, we had ATD and never had to ask for a table for 2, we just got it. I am seeing a lot of concern about that now. Can you request a table for 2 if you are ATD?

I love surprises. I would be over the moon if my husband packed my bags and drove me somewhere. Put in the card a picture of a beach or something as a tease, but keep the cruise detail under wraps. I hope you have fun!

What a great thread. I am trying to decide between the dream or the legend for fall/winter 2013. There are plenty of dream threads so this is helpful for the other side. Could anyone help me with suite information? I don't know the difference between them. And in the dream they over look another deck not the water which is a negative. Is the legend like that? I also heard the Legend was getting 2.0 upgrades in 2013. Do we know when that schedule will be announced? Thanks again for this great read!
