  1. Please help, this is our first time in a Grand suite aboard the Oasis sailing on September 5th, 2015. I am not able to find a list of perks that are available to people in suites. In addition to this list please tell us the ones you have really enjoyed the most. And if there may be other things NOT listed on the list of perks. We are really looking forward to our next cruise on the Oasis.

While I think I'm really looking forward to Dynamic Dining, I can hardly wait to hear from those of you who have tried it. I am very interested in the menu's and your thoughts about the new dining.

  2. Unfortunately I took my first ever cruise in 2013 aboard the Oasis of the Seas with my 2 adult daughters. This October we are sailing aboard the Allure. Both of them told me we'd be to spoiled to sail on anything other than an Oasis Class Ship. And in looking for another cruise that certainly has happened to us. I don't think I'm interested in the Quantum at all, but not positive. I also don't want to wait until Oasis Class ship 3 is built.

We would like to do something other than Eastern or Western Caribbean. But, what is the next size ship down from Oasis Class. I don't want to sail on a small ship or be limited by the entertainment options aboard. Also, I want something that has been updated as far as cabins and decor.

We would like to do the Southern Caribbean possible.

Please give me your best options for our next cruise. Thanks :p;):D

  3. Our first trip to Labadee aboard the Allure in October. What do you guys wear off the ship? We do have a cabana for our use. If we wear our bathing suits is there a place to change to go shopping? Or do you just shop in your bathing suits. What kind of shopping is there on Labadee and is there anything worth buying?

  4. Great to here from someone currently aboard the Allure on the Western cruise. We are a family of 7 in 4 different cabins going to the Western Caribbean in October aboard the Allure.

Have cruised the Eastern on the Oasis.

Please post all the MDR menu's daily if possible and include Giovanni's current menu if possible. For some of us it is a first cruise.

Am very interested in all you will have to say!

  5. My husbands first cruise coming on the Allure in October 2014.

He was asking me about getting lobster on evenings other than the 2nd formal night with the Fisherman's platter in the MDR. Can he order Lobster on any other nights in the MDR and if so how much is it and how many ounces is it? Is it worth ordering?

Next, do you know what time the casino closes on the Allure, western caribbean cruise. Also, what times do the bars close.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Please Help -This is our first trip to Labadee, in October, on the Allure. I have booked a cabana on Nellies Beach. I know that people who are in Suites book cabanas on another beach on Labadee.

After reading a Thread here on the Message Board I am very confused about the Buffet lunch that will be served on the Island that day. This thread talks about an Upgrade that is or was available till a certain date. I booked this Cabana back in March.

Is there still an enhanced buffet available to Nellie Beach people or is there only the regular buffet available. And how did some of you get a letter from Royal Caribbean telling you that you are intitiled to this enhanced buffet. How can I find out what is what?

If there is no longer an enhanced buffet is the regular buffet worth eating? And what is on it?

Thanks for any help you can give.

  7. We are sailing on the Allure in October. My husbands first cruise and he is trying to decide on a drink package. He drinks Rum & Coke with a splash of Seltzer. He likes a large glass with a double shot of Rum.

Since I don't drink I can't tell him if he is able to get a glass with a double shot. And how often can you get another drink on a Drink Package. I know with the Coke Package it's every 15 minutes.

Please don't think he wants one every 15 minutes but when sitting by the pool or going to a show it's just easier for him to order 2 at a time. Please give us some guidelines for ordering drinks aboard the ship.

Also, does anyone know, if you have a drink package are your drinks FREE on Labadee?

  8. We are going on RCL's western caribbean cruise in October. It seems to me that somewhere in all the threads a while back I read something about jellyfish stings on either Labadee or Jamaica. Can anyone tell me if these jellyfish are a problem at either of these beach locations. I have a cabana rented on Labadee and don't want to be afraid to go into the water.

Also, do the beaches on these stops have nice sand beaches or are they rocky.

Appreciate any help you can give me.

  9. Anyone out there purchase the internet package on the Allure? My question about it is this, are there only special places on the ship that you can get on the internet or are you able to access the internet anywhere on the ship. Specifically want to know if you can get the internet in your cabin?

  10. My 2 daughters & I cruised on the Oasis in September 2013. We went to all of the speciality restaurants except 150 Central Park. We absolutely loved the dining in these restaurants. We did not like the food in the MDR. We were very disappointed, both in quality and taste. We are going on the Allure in October 2014 & very much looking forward to the speciality restaurant dining. Does anyone have favorites on the Allure?

  11. Sue, thanks for the volleyball information. One of my daughters plays a lot of volleyball here in Chicago and took the silver medal on the Oasis in September 2013. Next October she & her husband, also a volleyball player, and my husband & I are going on the Allure to the Western Caribbean. Am so glad you answered my Labadee question with all your information, especially the time to head to volleyball.

    Thanks!

  12. Lioness - loved your reply. What part of the beach on Labadee do you go to to play volleyball. Our whole family loves Vball! And certanly won't want to miss playing.

  13. We will be doing the Western Caribbean in the fall 2014. Other than the beach (with cabana) what else can you do there, anything? Please be specific as this is our first visit to Labadee.

Is there shopping, sightseeing or anything else. And is it safe or advisable to do anything other than the beach?

  14. This is our first Western Caribbean cruise. We have booked a cabana on Labadee however not sure if we want to keep it. It seems like a great idea BUT, it also seems quite lonely on the website. Please help us understand the benefits of renting this and the drawbacks. We are 5 adults renting it. My husband loves the people watching everywhere so is it a good idea or would we be better just staying on the regular beach. Usually do a lot of people get off to use the beach or do most stay on the ship. Please tell us about the buffets also. Supposedly if you rent a cabana you get an upsacle buffet. Any difference?
