After sailing on Allure and Harmony, I second the first posts... They quality and appearance of Harmony's structure doesn't look as good as it is on Allure.
Regarding service, our cabin attendant on Harmony has been the BEST for any cruise (greetings to my friend Roderico from the Philippines BTW!), but the MDR service not that good, nor the food. With exception of the specialty restaurants, which are excellent. But I believe this is happening fleet wide. This constant costs reductions are making the cruise experience less glamours year after year.

I also avoid (or hate) big drops, and I tried Ultimate Abyss on Harmony... It was completely "harmless", I didn't feel that horrible vacuum on my stomach when riding big roller coasters, but it's a FAST fall though. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it as I did. Go ahead, nothing to worry about.

Too many modern things for many old people. If they are trying to catter a younger crowd, they should improve entertainment and on-board activities first.

Worse on service. Better on slides. All else the same.

I've never purchased the All digital photos package, just the 10 digital pictures pack. And the price on board is lower than the one on line.
Pros: you can have the "official" picture with the captain on formal nights. They have several backgrounds where you can have all the photos that you want, including the Titanic Wood Stairs. Even my professional picture (the one I use on my LinkedIn profile and digital business card at work) is from the ship.
They also do some digital retouches before releasing them, so you usually look better on the picture. :)

DailyMail with more details: the house costs $2.3M

Here's a video that I took in Cozumel, Navigator vs. Allure.
I've noticed that the newer the ship, the weaker the horn is. I recall that an old cruise ship docked beside us in Kusadasi, and when it sounded its horn, it was LOUD, and everyone on board (the new and delicate Celebrity Reflection) was cheering and saying "NOW THAT'S A HORN".

They should switch Nassau for San Juan.

The owners of one of the mansions facing the canal uploaded these videos where Equinox looks struggling to pull back and rotate clockwise. It happened last Friday. Does anyone has more details?
Here's a perspective of exact location (no, it's not the house with the FlowRider):

Our first experience on Allure was so wonderful, that we booked it again one week after disembark.

I used the surf pacakge, and I found it very reliable, not surprisingly fast, but acceptable enough to scroll down on facebook, upload pictures to Instagram, and share video clips thru WhatsApp.
Now my question: who plays video games or watch movies on a cruise? Stay home instead.

I wouldn't wear jeans to dinner on a cruise for two reasons: 1) They're just too hot for the Caribbean and 2) Even if people do it all the time, jeans are too casual for the venue.
A suit is hotter than jeans...

Celebrity is BORING, the "funniest" thing at night is the Martini Bar or the Casino. The only way to enjoy on a X ship is travelling with a group of at least 5 friends.

Thanks for the information and the photos @Trainman-2.

Thanks for the information and the photos @Trainman-2. Glad to hear that everyone is safe. A couple of years ago on the Allure of the Seas we witnessed the rescue of raft in distress with about 6 haitians east of Grand Cayman, it all happened early morning so it was dark. All of the occupants were boarded into the cruise ship and transported to Cozumel.

Yes, champagne, cava, proseco or sparkling wine are accepted at the port of departure.

I've seen shorts in the MDR, so anything more formal than that is acceptable.

It is a shame. I've been to Turkey several times. It's a shame that most people don't understand the sheer size of Turkey and that Kusadasi is not near areas where attacks have occurred.
My guess is that this was done because potential customers were expressing concerns.
Rhodes will be an interesting stop, but I have my doubts that it can compare to the size and scope of Ephesus.
Turkish food is amazing too!!

Kusadasi has its past. It happened before, it can happen again: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/07/18/turkey.blast/index.html

Rhodes is a beautiful port of call, but missing Kusadasi it's a bummer. I know there is a clear and present danger in Turkey, and I support those changes, but I also feel frustrated because that's what terrorists want.

This is my criteria:
I pay additional tips for EXCEPTIONAL service, $5 daily, plus a gift from home on the last day.
For good service: $10-20 by the end of the cruise, plus the gift.
Regular service: just the gift.
Bad service: a refund request at guest services.

Allure: Sorrento's Pizza, Windjammer, snacks area by the sports zone.
The long debated formal attire...

It depend's on the kind of activity after dinner... If it's the theater, I stay formal. If it's party, I switch to casual.
