  1. Agree with all other posters' responses. We always have a balcony and like to either have room service deliver a basic breakfast, or one of us runs to buffet and brings back a platter which we then enjoy on the balcony. Not sure why your hubby is against the buffet, but they do have every conceivable breakfast item available. I've heard some comments from people that the breakfast buffet never changes.....but I'm not sure what they could change when pretty much every typical breakfast item is available every day!

No matter what choice you make of where to enjoy breakfast, there are so many options there's no reason to go hungry:)

    Thanks for the info

my husband doesnt object to the choice of food in the buffets he just doesnt like how difficult it can be sometimes when its busy to find an empty table.

He also likes to be waited on (usually by me at home) and he prefers a hot breakfast although we do room service sometimes if we have a balcony

What sort of things are available in the International cafe at breakfast?

This is our first Princess cruise so I dont know about this venue

  2. We will be on our first Princess cruise later this year on Caribbean Princess and were wondering if breakfast is served in the main dining room every day or only on sea days.

My husband is not very keen on the buffet for breakfast.

    thanks

  3. We were in the Caribbean last month.

In Tortola we were looking at the island tour which on p&o was £38 each but we were glad that we decided to do our own thing -opensided bus on the island doing same trip was $20 dollars each.

lots of trips can be done much cheaper than with p&o

many taxis and minibuses at each port. If you can share with other passengers can be even cheaper.

  4. We are going on our first fjords cruise in August and we were wondering if we need to book the very expensive ships excursions to be able to see anything.

The ports are Stavanger, Olden, Hellesylt, Gerainger and Bergen

Is it possible to arrange private tours

If we do book excursions do we have to pay in advance ?

    Any info would be appreciated

    Thanks

  5. Can anyone please tell me what extras perks we get as platinum members.

This will be our first Princess cruise (platinum level awarded from previous P&O cruises that are recognised by Princess but doesnt apply other way round).

We know about the free internet and priority boarding but were wondering if there were any others

    thanks for any info

  6. Our best upgrade was on Ventura a couple of years ago.

We booked a guarantee lowest grade suite at an unbelievable price ( cheaper than we had paid for a balcony on similar cruise previously) and were upgraded to the Peninsular suite (largest suite on ship 750sq ft) and it wasnt even last minute!

    Couldnt believe our luck

Back to balcony cabins now - a bit of a come down

Good luck you never know .We never thought that we would ever have a suite let alone this one.
