  1. Thank you for the comments so far, but could you clarify

    1) All should be quiet as there are only cabins above you.

Does this mean that if your cabin was under the Lower Promenade, you could hear guests walking above the ceiling

    2) Take a bungee cord with you to latch back the bathroom door as they slide and in rough water can make quite a noise.

    Is this a sliding door

Also do you have a shower over the bath

  2. We are both over 60 and met in a piano bar

Enjoy all forms of music, the music level in the Club(Triplets) before dinner for us is perfect

But after dinner we find the music normally too loud

We always mention this to the Cruise Director, but there is little or no change

Maybe they have to keep to the Seabourn script

Last year when we were on the Pride and the Legend was docked next to us

Richard E raced over and gave us both a big hug , so we have a great relationship with these Directors not the same on the Quest .

  3. Mr Luxury

From your last comment you seem to understand music issues very well (do you actually enjoy music)

Are the Filipino bands still working on the triplets

On the triplets because the Observation Lounge is not serviced like the Club between 6.30 to 7.30

Guest how would prefer a quieter area before dinner should complain to Seabourn, not try and have

the guests who like to dance before dinner suffer .

On the larger ships the Observation bar with only background piano music is very good for these guests

But the Club with the solo singer/guitarist is not enjoyed by those guests who wish to dance

On our only large ship cruise we spent nearly all our time before/after dinner in the Observation bar

After every cruise on the end of cruise review , the first request was to upgrade the Observation Lounge on the triplets

to be more like the Seabourn Square, but nothing was done

From the pictures of the Windstar changes to the Pride, this seems to be what has been done

  4. I have been critical of Seabourn management for some time, as they most likely made a decision

many years ago to sell the triplets, and only complete routine maintenance.

We have only sailed once on the larger ships and as we enjoy pre-dinner entertainment felt

the solo singer/guitarist in the club a poor option. On that cruise we only danced once or twice.

Not all Seabourn guests place entertainment as a priority.

But we have meet many first time guests who would not sail again on Seabourn,

because of the entertainment, some referred to sea days as boring.

Lets hope on the new Seabourn ship there is more entertainment options.

Because of the reduced capacity in 2015 , fares are most likely to be increased.

2016 will be interesting as Regency will have a new 700 passenger ship.

The new CEO of Crystal announced she would like to increase the number of ships from 2 to 10 in the next decade.

We have just booked our first Crystal cruise for 2015 for a price of under $300 per/day.

Also Crystal has just announced a major upgrade to internet access (60 minutes per/day free)

    http://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/10552.html

They have just completed refurbishing public areas and restaurants on their two ships.

  5. Looking to book our first Regent cruise , have cruised with Seabourn previously.

All this upsell is new , having looked at availability on many cruises , the lowest category H Suites always seem to be on wait list .

Is this because they are popular or are people hoping for upsell offers .

Also as these suites are aft is there vibration and noise issues , noticed comment that this occurs on the Navigator but not on the Mariner (does this also include Voyager ) is this because Navigator is smaller .

If you book category H or G early , are you able to upgrade later .
