  1. I heard back from Carnival yesterday about an excursion we have booked for November. It did not match exactly, but I left detailed comments about other ways that the competitor seemed better, and Carnival honored my request. We will have the better price that comes with booking direct through almost $100 in OBC, and we will have the assurance that comes with booking a Carnival operated excursion.

  2. We just got off of the Triumph after the June 22nd sailing and had room 2266, also an ocean view on the main deck - not too far from the one you are looking at. Movement was not an issue for us, but it was a very smooth sailing. We did hear some knocking noises that could be pretty loud at times, but we were usually so tired when we finally went to bed that we were able to sleep through it. The thing that bothered us the most was a sewer-like smell in the hallway - especially near the stairway that is closest to the forward rooms. Our room itself smelled fine and was very clean, but there was an unappetizing smell in the hallway most of the time.

The positives about being on the main deck for us were that we were very close to the part of the ship where you debark at each port, and we were called 2nd for self-debarkation once we arrived back in Galveston.

We had a great cruise, but we probably would not pick that area of the ship again. It didn't ruin the cruise for us at all. I love the Triumph - I hope you choose to sail on her that you have a wonderful time!

I am thinking about doing a Solo Cruise on the Carnival Triumph. I am looking at cabin 2216, it is a 1A with Portholes on the Main Deck. Anyone have any insight to this cabin? Much movement, noise or anything else to be weary of?

    Thanks!
