  1. Thank you for taking the time to put that together. Those menus for Blu look good to me. If it's not too much trouble, would you let us know after you come back if those menus were accurate and what was offered on your sailing, and how well you liked the dishes... any favorites, etc? Happy cruising!
  2. Better than just an indoor covered pool and hot tubs, the Millenium class ships have a thalassotherapy pool in the solarium. It's a pool that is heated, not as hot as a hot tub, but much warmer than a heated pool, with a bench that blows bubbles from underneath that you can relax on and powerful sprays at the side of the pool that you can stand under to get a neck and shoulder massage. In addition there are actual hot tubs in the solarium. Millenium class ships are my preference for that reason alone. Happy sailing!
  3. Where did you do this? At guest relations? I try to avoid the long lines on embarkation day, so was wondering if you can upgrade elsewhere. I'm sailing in a standard veranda, so no concierge.
  4. Thank you for posting the photos. It looks lovely. I've only seen the original in photos, so I suppose I can see how it looks less like a "bistro" but it still looks very nice.
  5. I read that Jaques space was redesigned. Do you have a photo of it by any chance? Just curious to see it.
  6. Oh? Do they post them this far out? Our sailing is end of July. Thanks for the tip!
  7. Does anyone know if Blu is still serving steaks of any kind? I don't know what to compare to as we haven't dined there in the past, but we have a sailing booked in Aqua for July. I booked it seeing other people's menu posts and decided it looked good enough to try, but I imagine they are cutting in all venues, despite the higher cost. I haven't made final payment yet... just sayin'.
  8. I am actually looking to escape to Oceana from Celebrity. We have been loyal to Celebrity for a long time but were curious to try Oceana for their food reputation. Now it seems Celebrity is implementing some major cut backs, mainly on food which is a deal breaker for me. Other than Oceana, I'd be curious to try Viking. As far as Oceana cut backs to port times, that is not a big deal for me, but I realize it is for others. If they want to save money, they ought to look at cutting back on marketing. I get more brochures than I know what to do with. Our cruise documents for March are beautiful, but I can tell that the printing and materials must have been costly. I mean that's fine and it's a nice touch but I'd rather have them cut spending on printed materials than port times or food.
  9. So glad to hear Blu was good. I have a cruise on Summit booked for July in aqua, so I've been looking forward to trying Blu for the first time. Just curious, did your cruise start after January 1 or before? I have read here that after January 1 you can no longer order off the main dining menu but maybe the enforcement of that varies by ship. I was hoping I could order from both, as there are some favorites I've enjoyed in the MDR in the past (if they are still being offered that is). Thanks for writing your review! I enjoyed reading it.
  10. I did get a notification about our port times changing. It was an hour less in some ports. Not a big deal to me. More time on the ship to eat the good food! haha
  11. We decided to try Oceana for the first time and are sailing this March. The food looks incredible. When I started cruising with Celebrity, it was back in the good old Michel Roux days. How I miss that food. I do have a Summit cruise booked for July in Aqua. Has anyone heard of cut backs in Blu, or is that business as usual at this point? Cheers
