  1. We took the Ferry to Hamilton and a bus to the crystal caves.. Transportation pass covers both.  Schedule is on line.  Cave tour was about 20 minutes.  February is the off season so book an excursion if offered. They also rent a twizzy at the dockyard.

We cruised out of Norfolk on the Magic last year and I swear I saw the Tervis cups from the bars mentioned above for sale on the ship. I wanted a few for several reasons as we are cruising on the Elation next month, so I thought I’d grab a bargain by buying them on eBay or another such site prior to the trip. I couldn’t believe what folks are selling them for (often $15-$20 apiece used) and I’d rather buy them onboard with a drink in them if I’m gonna pay that much. But some folks say they’re no longer available to purchase on the ships. I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not; relying on my memory from last May, I can’t recall whether I just saw folks with them (who may have brought them with) or actually saw them set up for sale. I have done several searches on this board and the most recent thread on this topic seems to be from 2018. Thanks in advance!

Just in time as I needed another "live" in my life right now!

Keeps my mind off my recovery from total knee replacement!

@BennyBrun...have you been on a full transit of the Panama canal cruise?  That is a bucket list item for me.

We did princess through first locks, took a tender to a dock. Went on a bus to a small boat and went through locks to Pacific. Bus ride back to Limon to ship.  Awesome excursion with a different perspective.

So when you checked in for the cruise did they ask for your vaccination cards?

No. Had filled out health assessment prior to cruise. My celebration cruise in January no longer has it. Was also on magic and never showed card to anyone and never asked in Grand Turk

I had an issue with the security supervisor in Long Beach insisting that we could not bring on six bottles for our B2B2B (he had worked there for 20 years and had never heard of this policy). I had to pull up Carnival's policy on my phone and show it to him. As a result, we were allowed to take it all on with us. I will be printing the policy out for our next B2B.

Same thing in Baltimore.  Found policy on phone and screener checked with carnival staff

At the moment masks are "recommended", but not mandatory.

As a side note we just got back from a cruise and all 3 of us caught Covid.  From the timing it's pretty much certain we got it either on board or on an excursion..... I feel like total crap and right now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not masking up when out in public.

We cruised in January,  masking was sip and cover and 3 of us got covid.

I wake up very early (between 4 AM and 5 AM) and want coffee quickly.  My wife sleeps in till a normal wake up time for most folks.  So that rules out room service for me since a knock on the cabin door is akin to poking a sleeping bear.  😆

The fact that NCL has a coffee maker in balcony cabins and above is the reason the majority of our cruises have been with them.  However, I have decided to spread my wings and try other cruise lines again and my next three cruises are with Carnival, Princess, and Holland in that order.

I put clothes in the bathroom and quietly leave. Love the early mornings on lido decks. When we did princess they had a coffee card and on the star a international Cafe that was awesome.

  8. Was on the Mardi Gras last week, both my sister-in-law and myself positive for Covid four days off the ship.  Vax and boosted.  She is fine with slight congestion, and I have a cough.  My husband has a chronic cough so not sure he would know if he had covid.  I had a PCR test yesterday and he is going today.  Yes, we all wore masks.
