  1. In a suite you will get at least 2 bottles every day replenished by your room steward.
  2. We always just ask our Cabin Steward for an extension cord to be plugged in behind the bed so my DH can have his portable oxygen concentrator next to the bed. It is done by the time we come back to the cabin after sailaway.
  3. OMG haven't thought about the Desert Rose on the Grand in many, many years - really good margaritas!
  4. We get the Plus Package more for convenience than anything. We are Elite and typically in a suite, so we get 2 bar setups and sodas and waters. If we are on a Royal Class ship we get specialty coffees and happy hour drinks there daily. We are happy with only one device each for wifi and we get one free specialty dinner included with suite. So, we could get along without a package, but as I said the convenience of being able to get a beverage easily wherever we are on the ship, plus the 2 casual dinners - works for us. Don't see the need for the Premier pkg. If I want a glass of wine that exceeds the $15, I just pay the difference.
  5. Yes- pretty much you name it.
  6. Agreed - but op said they had already decided on aft.
  7. If you are going to go with aft ph, definitely Dolphin over Caribe - much larger balcony and some overhead protection.
  8. Dolphin deck aft suites have enormous balconies - great if you want to throw a party and invite 20 or 30 of your closest friends. I just felt for 2 of us it was way too much. Baja are the perfect size in my opinion. Both Dolphin and Baja have a little bit of cover from sun or rain. Marina, Riviera, Aloha an Caribe are quite small with no overhead protection. Having said that, aft balconies are THE BEST! If we are on a port intensive cruise or in colder climates we enjoy the PH Suites along the port and starboard sides of the Riviera deck with great access to the Concierge lounge for morning coffee, afternoon snacks and evening cocktails!
  9. Wow - learned something new. Thanks.
  10. Our experience at Seattle is Uber or Taxi drives right up to the terminal and drops you and your luggage. Flag down a porter and they will take your bags and next time you see them will be in your cabin. Returning into Seattle is a different story. If you use taxi or Uber you need to walk quite a way with your luggage to get to where the taxis and Uber can pick you up.
  11. Yep - woulda, coulda, shoulda - that's Princess for ya. No logic in the thinking.
  12. Yes - exactly what we use. Pretty inexpensive for a set of 4 on Amazon.
  13. Thanks to all who responded. This is why I love Cruise Critic.
  14. Which restaurant is currently being used for the suite breakfast on Ruby Princess? Years ago in Crown (sister ship) it was in Sabatinis but I thought I read recently that it is in Crown Grill now. We won't be onboard until March, but just curious.
  15. We have done it twice on Discovery and absolutely loved it. Don't think we would do it again, at least not anytime soon, but would suggest you do it at least once.
