Thanks to the folks here on CC, I have booked a Retreat Cabana for my upcoming spring break cruise on the NA. Does anyone know when the cabanas are first available to use? Can I go there upon embarkation, after lunch, after muster, at sailaway? Just trying to get a feeling for the timing as this is a surprise for my Mom.

I have ordered the Quench package for my April cruise, but I am not having any luck finding the drinks covered. Specifically, is sparkling water covered and if so, what is available? All non alcoholic coffees and mixed drinks? There doesn't seem to be much detail online for this non alcoholic option.

Agreed. We used the service in 2015 on the Glory. It was great not to deal with the luggage. Mom and I have a HAL cruise booked in April and have pre booked Luggage Express . I hope Carnival reinstates this great service before our November Conquest trip!

Thanks for the heads up! I submitted my first price protection form ever this morning. The port fees also dropped along with the fare itself. Should I expect to see a credit for the dull difference?

The easiest option would be if the hotel will allow a late check out. You could have a leisurely breakfast and chill until time to head to the port.

I have seen people post that they "take care" of them and "treat them well". I will have my first cabana in April on a 7 day cruise. Are there any suggested guidelines? A percentage of the rental or dollar amount per day? I want to do right by the attendants but have no idea what that should be. Thanks for the help!

Thank you for responding. Yes, I am referring to the onboard cabanas. There were several of both types available when I called yesterday. I have tried searches and keep getting feedback on land cabanas. I think I will book one...just need to determine Lido or Retreat.

Hello all! Mom and I are taking our first HA cruise in April on the NA. We aren't big on beaches or pool time but do like to relax with a good book and watch the ocean go by. We have short tours booked in each port except Half Moon Cay. I was considering surprising her with a cabana. Those of you who have rented a cabana in the past, what are your thoughts? Is the retreat cabana much better than the others?

I appreciate hearing about any experiences and/or opinions.

Was midship lower level on our first cruise...second cruise was higher and up front. Never again. We went back to low and midship and then level 6 aft and have been fine.

Have done an inside on Sensation and porthole on Fascination. I got seasick in the porthole cabin - too far forward for me. I prefer the inside to the ocean view that we had and really liked the price.

Will be in port on 2/1/17 8:00 to 4:00. Hubby would love to see Arecibo, but I cannot find any tours. Any recommendations? Maybe a private tour? I just don't know where to go from here. I did check their website, and since it is a Wednesday will be open. Not really interested in renting a car and driving.....Thanks in advance!

Thanks! How hard is it to catch a taxi after the cruise? Might just do that both ways.

I have always driven to port or stayed at a hotel with a shuttle. This time we are staying at the airport hotel in Miami. Do you think it would be difficult to get a taxi from the hotel to POM? I have a car service booked but was thinking that a taxi would be less expensive and offer more flexibility.

I really cannot tell you which would be best as I have not yet cruised any of these. However, we researched and ended up booking the Glory on the same. itinerary. We sail Saturday. I am sure that wasn't much help, and I am sure all three would be so much fun for you both. Good luck with the decision!

Thank you for answering so many questions! We are on the Glory the end of October. Did you have to use a card for the lights or the safe? Trying to figure out if we need to take a couple of old cards with us.
