  1. Totally Agree with you! It reminds me of the One and Only M & M I attended 2 years ago on the Quest! I felt Really sorry for the Staff that had to be there! It was Nothing but a Complaint Session! " how come you changed the filet to a strip steak"? And " how come we don't get this or that any longer"? OMG ! I sat in the back and was Appauled at the scene!

And Thats why I will Never Ever attend another M & M Again! And I think they Complained about the FREE Beverages being offered at the get together!

Went to a meet and mingle on P&O Azura in January - 21 days transatlantic. 70 of us. No complaining, no moaning, just a thoroughly good time. But there again there was nothing to moan about! We were all British on board too.

So people were moaning at the M&M 2 years ago on Quest. Obviously there were things not quite right even back then so they are clearly not addressing the issues.

  2. This whole farago is complete and utter nonsense! Why is everyone so uptight about the drinks or lack of drinks etc? There is more than adequate choice and frankly if we will end up on Azamara with some non stop drinkers trying to maximise every last " free drop" that id not my sort of holiday or people we want to be associated with! Are people not aware of how much they should realistically be drinking anyway or do they want to completely ruin their livers?

    Unbelievable! get a grip.

I think you will find most of the "disappointed" CC posters are not non stop drinkers. All inclusive does not mean non stop drinking. Azamara is supposed to be synonymous with quality which is why many of us booked with this company. Many people who don't drink a lot choose not to buy the drink packages because it would not be good value and for the same reason would not want to buy a whole bottle in duty free and guzzle it in their cabin (how sad is that!) What we thought we would receive is a reasonable QUALITY drink when we choose to have one e.g. single malt whisky, a reasonable after dinner brandy or even a port.

Cruising is obviously not all about drinking and I am sure we will enjoy the whole experience and are happy to imbibe nothing stronger than tea and coffee! However Azamara made the error of offering something they can't deliver so they should not be surprised when people are quite rightly miffed about it.

  3. Maybe it is to you, as you have experienced the Azamara product, but due to the recent aggressive marketing campaign by UK TA's, Azamara now have lots of new clients, who don't have the benefit of your experience and may well have booked, expecting an all inclusive product, as promised.

You are absolutely right Tim. .

We don't need to be reminded how very "lucky" we are even to be going on vacation, we appreciate and celebrate everything life has given us, but we have worked very hard for our pennies and as a customer, we ought to expect to receive what we have been promised. I don't think that is being grumpy or petty - it's the way selling/buying works!

If you purchased an HD TV, you wouldn't be very pleased to receive a TV that didn't have HD and you also wouldn't appreciate being told that you are lucky to have a TV at all!!!! You would expect to receive what you were sold and what you paid for.

Rant over! We are really looking forward to our first experience of Azamara and I am sure it will be wonderful with or without the refreshments!

  4. I would even say more: In Turkey or Egypt a FIVE star All In resort will only offer LOCAL spirits and everybody knows and agree. And now here some people complain about the limited choice but I think what AZ "more inclusive" is offering now is far above all you can get in ALL IN resorts !

We have stayed in many Sandals resorts and Riu resorts and all inclusive actually did mean ALL main brand drinks although not the really specialised expensive brands. There were good choices of decent beers and single malt whisky and brandy.

We are sure we will enjoy ourselves and we will ignore the very mean choice of beverages offered but do feel misled by the advertising. In fact we are now left asking more questions than were answered!

We have never cruised with Azamara before but sincerely hope the cruising bit is a whole lot better than the "on shore" management part which has been the worst we have ever known.
