On our cruise on Spirit last month neither night had a big impact.. We dressed up because we like to and because it coincided with Valentine's night but the white party passed us by. Not a big deal made of either tbh

We have just returned from our cruise on Spirit in cabin 5522. Like the poster we usually book a balcony but as this was a cheeky extra hols opted for a picture window. It was super, spacious and well appointed. No coffee maker though! We had a fridge which we didn't use but it was there, in the shape of a min bar! We were slightly more forward than we usually choose , I don't know what I was thinking really! It was fine in the main but we had some choppy water and we certainly felt it! However the cabin was fab we loved it

A great review thank you so excited for our cruise next month

Really loving following you. We are on the same itinerary on Feb 13th, our first with NCL so really interested in your views!

Hi, just booked 3 of them for our cruise in February however our friends want to join us. Is there anyway I can do this? Changing the booking from 2 to 4 and if so how?
-
We were first timers last year on the QV and your observations were similar to our own! We loved it

We are going on Spirit in February and have the Speciality dining package as an offer along with the beverage package. So I'm a bit confused. Will there be an expectation that we pay the dinning gratuity on top of the daily one?

We are sailing from Barcelona in February and will arrive the day before so looking for a hotel . Does anyone have any suggestions . Not sure whether to stay in town and get a cab the next day to the port or stay by the port and cab into town to sightsee?

Love your review. Just booked a 10 European tour next February and so excited. First time with NCL previous cruises with princess and Cunard. Think this will be different! Our last cruise on Cunard was Rome to Venice and I got up early for our arrival into Kotor, well worth it, amazing!

Just booked spirit and got all excited when I saw this but looks like mama planes has lost interest!

We we on a med cruise in June 15 and it most certainly was enforced.

Hi we are uk based and are thinking of a trip to Mexico combined with a cruise for a week. So fly uk to wherever, pick up the ship, cruise a week then a week in Riviera Maya then fly back from there. Is this trip even possible . Can you disembark a ship in Mexico. This is the way round we want to do it so we relax and do nothing the second week! Any info appreciated. We're thinking about it for 2017!

What a marvellous review and it echoes our thoughts in so many ways. We were on the 5 th June Rome to Venice and loved every second.

And all very slick! We experienced, corfu shuttle bus, Kotor tender, dubrovnik shuttle and venice water shuttle. Very straightforward , convenient and reasonably priced.

We noticed that the 175 ball seemed no different to the other formal, with a few notable exceptions. The black and white ball was more obviously adhered to, easier to do I suppose

We disembarked in Venice on the 13th, having travelled from Rome. We were in Britannia and were highly delighted by everything, including the Pol Ackerman, although could've drunk the other half! We now realise although we were thrilled anyway, that we were very lucky to have been allocated a fabulous table in the window at the aft . It was amazing. the sail away from Rome was at 9 and given our sitting was 8.30 we were in a prime position. We didn't take it for granted and were pinching ourselves each night

If you only have a day I wouldn't. We just had 24 hours there before our cruise and it was mad. I tried to do far too much in that time and the heat was oppressive. If we did a cruise from Rome again I'd stay in the port overnight and wouldn't bother with Rome. We've marked Rome as a place to visit in its own right. Just not s day trip place IMHO

Just returned from the QV and whilst jackets and smart shirts and trousers were worn ties were less so.

ate here last week on our second formal evening . Wow! We loved the Britannia and couldn't imagine how much better the Verandah could be but it was something very special.

Just returned from our first cruise with Cunard, review to follow. The formal dress code was strictly adhered to and I have to say added to the splendour of the ship. On 'informal' evenings the dress code was still very smart and certainly in the MDR all the guys wore jackets, though ties were less apparant. Smart pants, light weight jackets and nice shirts were de rigueur! Ladies in the main were very elegant. It did make us titter to see how the rules are interpreted however. One chap we saw although sticking to the code by wearing a jacket had made the unforgivable error of wearing sandals with socks! He wasn't banished to the lido or the winter gardens for his sins though!

Hi all, just wondered what choice of bars there are on QV and what's the ambience? We were on Grand Princess last year and the whole of deck 7 ( I think) was given over the entertainment, theatre one end , cabaret room at the other, wine bars, pub, dancing and piano bars. We were never bored! What's the scene on QV?

Black frock, gold accessories, red lip! Done!

Has anyone tried the themed restaurant in the QV lido ? How do they work ? How far in advance can we book? Is there a different theme each night?
-
From what I can gather from the website, one chooses 3 courses from the menu and anything over and above the $24 is added to the shipboard account.
Flight out of Barcelona

It is tight but on our recent cruise ( same itinerary on Spirit) I've never experienced such an efficient process on disembarkation day in Barcelona. I reckon using the walk off with your cases you'll do it easily . There were 100's of cabs and the journey was quick. The last morning is up and at em even if you don't have to be so no point hanging about!
