Having terrible time getting visa. I Visa keeps asking for the same info. Does anyone have a customer service email for I Visa? We applied back in Nov before boarding ship. Was in line / que until the app opened earlier in Dec. Very frustrating.  Any help will be appreciated.

dw64 at aol dot com. Thank you.

I am assuming your document or photo is not under 1MB. We are all very frustrated. I applied on Dec 6 and we are still waiting for our e-visas. At least, you are not alone. Suggestion: read the above document prepared by ‘The-Inside-Cabin’. Good luck.

I wrote a presentation "How to get a Brazil Visa"  with lots of tips.   I applied for mine on Dec 2 and I received it on Dec 7th with no errors along the way

You can find it on my website HERE

Look for this link on the front page

You did an outstanding job in explaining how to obtain a Brazilian e-visa!

  3. UPDATE

My visa is now “Recommended by VFS” as my application passed the ‘Quality Control Completed’. I did a happy dance and high-five hubby as I was reading that email.
If ‘The-Inside-Cabin’ is arriving by AIR, then, I am thinking from what I have received in my several emails from the ‘help-desk e-visa’, we will receive our e-visa on or after Jan 10.  Let’s hope I am wrong… as I would like to put this stressful situation behind me as soon as possible.

  4. The-inside-cabin,

    Are you arriving by air?
When I applied on Dec 6, I was told on Dec 7  I would not receive an e-visa by the ‘help desk e-visa’ as I was not arriving by air. Later, the website changed on Dec 7-8 for ‘Air, Land & Sea’.
If you are arriving by Land or Sea, you are extremely lucky… Applying is not difficult, just time consuming… Seabourn themselves have confirmed many, many cruisers are in the same  situation. I guess we have to be very patient!

  5. I just received an email from Lisa:

"Thank you for the information it’s very helpful, let me review. We do not have a contact in Brazil other than the Port Agent that advises the visa requirements and restrictions. There is a Sr Management meeting with the HAL and SBN EXEC tonight to discus the Brazil EVisa issue and looking at policy and protocols on boarding guest and the regulations. "

I hope it is helpful info for this roll call.

  6. Update

After 5-one hour calls to Seabourn (within 24 hrs), I finally received an email from Lisa, Supervisor of Documentation office and I replied immediately with our problem/situation.

    ‘Hello Lisa,
Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I am very frustrated as I have tried EVERYTHING possible to obtain an accurate answer from Brazil e-visa. Please read below emails. First, my booking is xxxx
I am leaving Canada on Jan 1 for 12-week.
I am board HAL on Jan 7 and disembarking in Buenos Aires on jan 29. We are flying to IGR (Iguazú Falls on Argentina side) on Jan 29
On Jan 30 or 31, we want to visit Iguazú Falls Brazil side.
Feb 1, fly to Salta, Argentina.
Feb 20, board Seabourn booking: xxxx

I applied for e-visa on Dec 5 when their website stated by Air. On Dec 6, they ask us to reload photos and flight.
We have been status: Pending Document Uploaded since Sat.

Chantal    BRAxxxxxxx  passport: HGxxx  DOB:  xx
Dennis    BRAxxx  passport: HGxxx. DOB: xxx

Can you please email your contact in Brazil to see if we have to reapply for our visas? They will look into your request more than me and trust me, I email them every single day!!!! I am stressed out as I want it done before we leave Canada on Jan 1.

Many people on CruiseCritic went from 'Pending Document Uploaded’ to ‘Quality Control Completed’ and they applied yesterday or 2 days ago.

Below are all my emails sent to e-visa help desk!
    Good luck’

i just woke up and Dennis received an email from VFSGlobal (e-visa), They stated ‘Quality Control Completed’. We are so happy as we now know we don’t have to reapply. I am now confident I will receive an email soon…

I don’t know if it is a coincidence but I believe Lisa (Seabourn) has something to do with this. Regardless, I have to thank Seabourn on this forum as yesterday I vented on this forum…

Thank you for “listening” to me all of you!

Dennis is now “Recommended by VFS” (2 hours from receiving the VFSGlobal’s email). Anybody knows when he should receive his e-visa or how many more steps there is when you are “Recommended by VFS”?

Good luck to everyone obtaining your e-visa.

Firstly, many thanks for the info you posted as this really helped with finding the MOFA website to apply for the (much) cheaper eVisa option for entry to SA. This may sound obvious to others, and I'm certain I am overthinking this question, but I am in the process of applying for our e-visas and after it asks how you are arriving (which for us is by Sea) it then asks for departure country. My first thought was India as SS is departing from Mumbai, but then as we are from the UK , I wonder if we should put that as this is the country we originated from to travel. I am 99% certain it is India but wanted to double check. Many thanks

I am glad I could help others. You are correct: enter India as you are departing on your cruise from India.

Now, I am trying to get a visa from Brazil. Believe it or not but it is even worst than Saudi Arabia as they just started Dec 1 to accept e-via and the government is NOT ready. I will spare you all the details but I applied a week ago and I still have not receive our visas!

    Have a great cruise.

  8. We spent 50 days in Ecuador in Oct-Nov 2021. Then, we went to Machu Picchu and Cusco for 10 days. It was night and day in regards to the way we were treated. Ecuadorians were so happy we were visiting their country. Peruvians, not so much as they were rude, just thinking of making $$ out of you. It was such a drastic difference after 50 days in Ecuador. I would go back to Ecuador any day, Peru, we will never go back…

I applied yesterday around 10am and last night at 11:00pm I also received an email from VFS saying quality control completed so fingers crossed 🤞

    You are blessed!

  10. Hello all,

    Here is another update.

I received this on Dec 11 (see photo below). Also, our visa applications are still pending… I called again my credit card company and our “dispute” is pending for 2 weeks so if we receive our visas, I just have to call Visa and they remove the dispute. They advised me to keep the dispute as if I don’t receive them by Dec 22 (2 weeks from the day the charge was posted) Brazil government should definitely not be paid.

Our situation: we want to enter Brazil to see Iguazu Falls for a few hours on Jan 30 or 31. We are not even sleeping in Brazil. Later, on Feb 20, we will be boarding Seabourn cruise which will stop at many ports in Brazil…

I applied on Dec 6 (the web site was still saying “arriving by air”). On Dec 7, the web site was saying “by air, land and sea”. They asked me to resubmit only my photo. They asked hubby to resubmit his photo, bank statements and flights (😱🤬😡🤯). We resent our flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu (Argentina side) on Jan 29  and Iguazu to Salta, Argentina on Feb 1. What more do they need?
They are just NOT ready to give visas for people arriving by land and sea.

Plus. I am emailing the e-visa helping desk non-stop and they are useless with generic replies…

You can apply now.  As long as your itinerary has YOUR dates on them.  The 90 days is valid from first day in Brazil, not 90 days from applying or being accepted....

    Mosaic,

Did you obtain an e-visa (arriving by land or sea) or did you just applied?

  12. 3 hours ago, Mosaic said:

Not that this helps much, but two notes:

    1.  The website is slower this weekend. Or not working at times.

    2.  Holland America sent a note to put ship itinerary instead of the airplane arrival info. We have submitted, but have not heard back.

Please, keep us inform once you hear back. The help desk did not get back to me if we can apply NOW if we are arriving by land or by sea OR if we have to wait until Jan 10.

I have a consular visa issued in 2015. It is in an expired passport, can I use it for entry into Brazil?

    Thanks!

No idea. Email the E-visa desk. My guess would be it is not good anymore as it is in an expired passport. Good luck.

I am flying into Rio and cruising out the next day.  I have tried to apply on line for the evisa but I cant seem to get past the page 5 address details.  Any suggestions?

What is on page 5? I was able to finish the whole process back on Dec 6. The photo has to be under 1 MB, it was the trickiest.

    Dear Mrs,
Thank you for contacting The Brazil E-VISA Helpdesk.
E-visa will be applicable from 10th Jan 2024 onwards for Americans, Australians and Canadians  and they can enter Brazil by any means of transport i.e. Air, Land or Sea.  However then need to provide necessary tickets to prove the same.

ITINERARY(Round trip ticket) for Land and sea travel)

-For Sea Travel: Add your cruise itinerary. Ensure the date of entry into Brazilian territory is clearly displayed.
-For Land Travel: Upload your hotel reservations. If unavailable, submit your passport copy again to proceed with the application.
-For first entry by air, you must present the ticket itinerary. If applicant leaves via another route, applicant will already be in possession of the eVisa.

    FOR AIRLINE STAFF (BUSINESS)
-Bank statement: For the bank statement requirement, please upload a letter from your company confirming that you are on duty travel.

ITINERARY(Round trip ticket) : Upload your respective Crew Member ID as proof.
-Please note that purchasing air tickets should not be recommended, only reservation air tickets is required.
    Best regards,
    The Brazil E-Visa Helpdesk.

    MY RESPONSE

    Hello again Roman,

    I just want to clarify:
-I can only apply for the e-visa if arriving by land or sea starting Jan 10?
    -My situation is the following:
-I will be flying to IGR (Iguazu) on Jan 29, will stay at a hotel in Iguazu (Argentina side) and will just go into Brazil on Jan 29 or Jan 30. I will fly out of IGR to Salta, Argentina on Feb 1
    AND
-On Feb 20, we board Seabourn cruise ship. This cruise will stop at several port of call in Brazil and this cruise is ending in Miami. I need a multi entry visa. Is it what I will receive good for 90 days?

I am assuming you want me to download on or after Jan 10, all my documents: fly in and out of IGR and cruise itinerary? It is what I did on Dec 6 but the e-visa will not be granted…

Pleas answer my questions as soon as possible.
    Thank you for everything

I WILL LET YOU KNOW ONCE I HEAR BACK...
  16.

    FYI

someone else on Seabourn Quest Feb 20 roll call responded to my post stating Seabourn sent her an email stating she could now apply for an e-via. Read her post for all info.

    This is my response:

    Hello all,

Wow, what a mess! I went on the site and they have changed: by air FOR by air, land and sea. I tried to start a visa application and everything is the same… I would wait a few days if I was you as nothing seems to have changed.

My case: I already disputed (cancelled) my charge with Brazil visa as they told me they could not provide a visa for people arriving by land or sea…

I am going to wait and see.

If anyone receive an e-visa, please post.

So if entering Iguazo Falls from argentina side by land is a visa required, i am confused.

Don’t be confused, you need a visa to enter Brazil starting on Jan 10 (I think) if you are from Canada, USA and Australia.

Wow that is crazy.  I don't understand why Brazil isn't accepting e-visa for this.  I hope you can apply before your cruise for an e-visa as consulare visa requires a visit to the nearest Brazillian embasy.

You are correct, this is crazy! But the sounds of it Seabourn is on top of it. However the problem is Brazil. As I said, an e-visa for cruisers (and surely for arrival by land) is supposedly in the works for Jan.

    Time will tell!

  19. This is what I received today:

    Dear Mrs,
Thank you for contacting The Brazil E-VISA Helpdesk.
As we mentioned bofore, you cannot apply for e-Visa application, if you are trying to travel To Brazilia by land or cruise, the only way to get into Brazil is to apply for a  consular visa .
Link to the website  to apply for a consular visa: https://www.gov.br/planalto/en

  20. UPDATE
Tonight, I called Seabourn and was helped by a lovely lady. With the help of another department, they found an internal mail stating that Brazil will be ready for e-visa for people arriving by cruise ship in Jan. I asked her to forward me the email but she could not as it was internal mail.
I am assuming Seabourn will send email to everyone once Brazil figures things out!

Right now, the e-visas are only if arriving by air.

  21. Hello all,

Please do not apply for an e-visa. I contacted the customer service and was told no e-visa if you are not arriving by air…

I will call Seabourn to see how I can obtain a visa.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  22. I am currently on a cruise so I do not have much time to write.
I do not recommend Kruger NP as expert in safaris call it “The Disneyland of safaris”. I would strongly recommend Tanzania.
Please, view my below humble website I created in 2021 during the pandemic. If you have questions, email me directly and I will reply directly to you.

You will NEVER regret doing a safari. However, 3 nights is wayyyyyy to short. I recommend a minimum of 7 nights. We went hunting with the bushmen and it was my favourite day. You don’t want to rush, rush, rush… Enjoy it. Buy your safaris directly in Tanzania and you will save tons of $$. This is what we did. Buying for a travel agent in Canada was way too expensive.

I felt safe everywhere I went in Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Botswana and a little less safe in South Africa. Can you imagine me saying that!

    Happy planning!
