  1. You can determine the effective price of Celebrity's BBB perks by comparing the fare with perks versus a resident, 55+ or military fare without any perks on Celebrity's website.

You can also check with local TA's to see what additional perks, usually OBC, they are willing to give you over and above, Celebrity's prices and perks.

    Thank you!

  2. The caves are within walking distance of SI.

Thank you! You have been very helpful!

I'm thinking that maybe we do the caves, Swizzle Inn and boat rental the first day and then leave the ship early the next morning for Warwick Bay and the walk to Horseshoe Bay. Would that be too much on the first day?

  3. We will be arriving in Bermuda for 2 days late September aboard the Anthem of the Seas. We are interested in renting a boat for 4 hours from SomersetBridge Watersports or one of the other vendors, walking the beach path to Horseshoe Bay and spending time at the beach, and going to Tom Moore's Jungle and having lunch at the Swizzle Inn. In what order would you recommend that we do these activities? Thanks in advance for the advice!

  4. We have been wanting to try a Celebrity cruise for a while and are considering a 2018 Baltic on the Eclipse (just waiting for Royal to release their itineraries in case they offer a better one). I'm confused with the Go Big, Better, Best pricing. Is this only available if booking thru Celebrity? When I look at a large online TA website, I see lower prices and do not see the Go Big, Better, Best offer. Just wondering if I book thru them will I get the lower price plus the Go BBB offer? Thanks in advance for the help!

  5. Hi Karen, Our OV only had a safe. There was an assortment of snacks and drinks left on the desk which we asked our cabin attendant to remove. He did not but he did bring us an ice bucket twice a day which I requested. The snacks I put in one of the cabinets next to the mirror/desk.

The only announcement I heard was when we were passing Sicily.

  6. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this incredible review. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed it. We are doing this same itinerary in September on the Vision and I took lots of notes reading this.

I really like your idea of purchasing pieces of art on your travels. Do you mind sharing how you manage to get them home without damaging them? I've thought of doing this on previous trips; however, I'm concerned with how to transport it.

Thanks again for an awesome review!

  7. Since you asked….. :D

We had the great fortune of using APTours our very first trip to Naples. We did a tour share with 3 other couples on our ship. It was the best day of our cruise.

We have since used them each time we return and even do almost the same tour !!!! They are a breeze to work with during the booking process and they will help you figure out the best itinerary for your day based on what you want to experience. AND the best part is they have priced their tours below the other tour companies saving you money ! Same quality tour - just less $$.

We always do Pompeii first (you could spend a month there and not see it all) with a private guide they arrange (Pina is amazing and Nina was great too) and then we head to the Amalfi coast - perhaps the most beautiful place on earth. Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. Ravello for the views and small village charm, Amalfi for a quick lunch and Positano for a stroll down to the beach and shopping !!!! Then we head to Sorrento where our guide makes sure we get on the right ferry back to Naples. We enjoy the boat ride back and seeing the coast from the water (different view than driving the same area) and the ferry docks very near the ship so just a short walk back….. Long day but a lot of it is riding……. we can't wait to get back next spring as we are taking our son and DIL for their first Med cruise :)

Any other questions - just ask

Hello! I have a few questions regarding the tour you describe above where you took the ferry back to the ship. Was this a tour that you customized with AP Tours? I don't see anything like this on their website. Also, do you make frequent stops along the drive to get out, see the views, take pictures, etc.? And...did you feel that you had enough time in all of these places?

We've been to Pompeii before many years ago, and are trying to decide whether or not to skip it and drive the Amalfi Coast and see some of the towns instead. Hubby keeps talking about renting a car and doing it on our own. However, I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that as I'd rather leave the driving to someone familiar with the area (and not trying to sightsee along the way :)). Also, I think we would miss out on conversing with the driver and hearing about the history of the area.

Thanks so much for your help!

  8. Post 57... I posted the C&A paper they put in your cabin...it has all the details on it now, it's great! The nightly Diamond event was in the Vortex from 5-8 each night, it's listed along with the breakfast and the welcome back parties right on the paper that will be in your cabin. So much more convenient than guessing, or waiting for invitations to show up on your bed (though you'll still get those too) On the back is the list of your coupons.

Thank you!!!! I missed that when I read the C&A paper the first time.
