  1. As always I like to thank Cruise Critic as well as Mr. Rodriguez for these special events!

So, this isn't really a question but rather a suggestion.  Has Atlas ever considered adding the Galapagos to their itineraries? Well, I guess that was a question! 🙂

It's on my bucket list and after viewing info on your ships and what's included, I think Atlas might be for me on a Galapagos cruise,

    Thanks

  2. I've sailed on Mariner of the Seas when she was brand new, so I don't have any specific questions about the ship itself -- since Royal keeps them like brandy new!!  But, if you wouldn't mind sharing your opinion (or even a picture or two) about the conditions of the stateroom, that would be helpful!

Have a great time. You'll catch the cruise bug I'm sure.  Do some "ship spotting" while you cruise; a fave pastime of mine.

  3. Hello Steve.  Thank you for being here.

Want to take the cruise plunge, but unsure of how to plan -- insurance wise -- if something happens due to covid.  Prime example:  not being let on the ship and having to pay for extra costs such as hotel/food/transportation charges in the embarkation port.  Will insurance cover that?  In the US?  How about outside the US?

    Thanks!

  4. Hello Chris:

A co-worker who was in the know once told me "when you are ready for the perfect cruise...try Windstar".   I truly trust her judgement and a Windstar cruise is on my bucket list.  I've cruised countless times before on many different lines and I'm ready for something different.

So, can you offer up your best value in sailing on Windstar?  Which ship will satisfy:  new places to visit, comfy stateroom and really good food (not necessarily foo foo foo!).

    Thanks for visiting with us!

  5. Hi....I've got a few ideas for future bucket list cruises; I'd LOVE to do one of yours!

I'm just wondering how to compare these types of expedition cruises?  Is it all about the excursions, do I want casual comfort when on board or do i need to be pampered.  WHAT DO I LOOK FOR???

BTW, I frequently attend these Q&As and really appreciate them!

  6. Thanks for visiting with us!

First, I visited your website and the photos just drew me right in!  What's not to like about penquins!

Your newest ship -- MS Fridtjof Nansen -- is so futuristic looking.  What makes it different than other expedition ships?

I noticed another member referred to your ships as "ferries".  Can  you explain that?  I looked at your itineraries and they  seem very "cruise line" to me, with definitive  ports of call, etc.

Finally, are any of your ships "ice breakers"?

You can see I like to talk about ships!

    Thanks,

  7. We certainly agree with the "not wanting an insurance company making decisions about whether the medical care is suitable", etc.

    What is "global"?

You don't need to be an inpatient for them to medevac you out/home?

How is the decision made about whether you qualify for their service?

(I mean, surely they wouldn't medevac you to a hospital near home because you had a cold. Not trying to be snarky, really. Just trying to understand how the coverage would work, when it would "kick in".)

    Thanks!

Hey! Just wanted to share that "global" is a company by the full name of Global Rescue (https://www.globalrescue.com/) Why I know these things, who knows!
