I am going on a cruise with some friends in a few weeks.   One of them really wants to just do a tour of the city in Belize hitting some of the highlights of the city.  I need names of good tour companies for this.  I have been here in the past and done Altun Ha and been cave tubing.  I just have no idea who to use for this type of tour.

Hello , we have used waytogotoursbelize.com in the past for a tour of the city and a visit to the rum factory, I must say it was a great experience, we got to see the highs and the lows. They also have a Party Bus version of the city tour that you may enjoy . Good luck !

  2. We had Cardinal as our guide last time we were in Belize, he was very friendly and Polite, he took us on a trip to see the Monkey. The kids loved him, and he also does trips through the Caves and the Archaeological sites, you can contact Way To Go Tours BELIZE and request Cardinal to be your cave guide, he was excellent.

  3. Not anymore, you can now take the ferry over to Placencia Village from Harvest Caye. I've read good reviews about Way To Go Tours doing Excursions for NCL Passengers from Harvest Caye

  4. A good day trip would be to see the Ruins of Altun Ha, the site is very close to Port, there are restrooms and has a restaurant with delicious local food. i would recommend anyone to go there. If you start of early enough you would definitely have time to stop at the beach or do some shopping .We had a large group on the NCL Escape stopped by Belize in August some were seniors and some were in their teens 20's and 30's . We used http://www.waytogotoursbelize.com, they were able to provide us with our own private bus, and made stops along the way for us upon request. It was a much better experience than any cruise ship excursion we were on .

  5. My husband does fine on the cruise ship with the right medication but speed boats and bus rides still make him sick. Can anyone suggest anything to do in Belize that does not require a 1 hour bus ride or 40 minute speed boat ride? Or should we just stay on the ship? What happens during the day on the ship?

You can take the Belize city tour and visit the rum factory.

  6. I tried Shoreexcursioneer but they don't offer anything in Belize.

I am looking for some place similar to book excursions.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you' date='[/quote']

I usually book directly with the company as opposed to shore excursioneer especially if I choose to do a private tour. My first choice for Belize excursion would be http://www.waytogotoursbelize.com. They have a variety of tour that are customizable

  7. I will have my 4 year old granddaughter with us next year. Any suggestions as far as what to do in Belize will be greatly appreciated.

I agree with brother Craig, a 4 year old would love the zoo in Belize, it's small and easy to get around.

  8. There was a group of us that did it back in December of last year. We were on an air conditioned bus, about 18 of us, Delroy was our tour guide, he was very informative, we had the real Belizean feel going with them! I talked to people who booked through the Cruise Ship and they saw way less and paid more.

  9. Our ship doesn't offer an excursion to Goff's Caye and I have been looking at the various vendors of the excursion. Does anyone have recent (last 6 months) experience with booking Goff's through any of these companies? Are they all just vendors using the same operator? I was initially ready to book with Shore Excursioneer, but they get incredibly mixed reviews. Any input would be great. Thank you!

    Viator - $55

    EcoTours Belize - $55

    Shore Excursioneer - $45

    Belize Cruise Excursions - $40

Book with EcoTours. They operate mainly at Goff's Caye, i have been with them before! Highly recommended

  10. We're stopping in Belize on our Western Caribbean cruise in April. We have two kids (9 & 6), who unfortunately aren't strong swimmers, which rules out snorkeling. And as cool as tubing sounds to me, my wife is concerned that the 8-year-old age limit imposed by the cruise line is there for a reason. After much deliberation, I think our best excursion choice might be the Belize Zoo or Altun Ha.

I've read some people suggest that it's possible to combine these into a single excursion through a private Belizean operator. Have any of you done this? Can you recommend a legitimate operator? There are 4 of us, but that could possibly be as many as 8, if other members of our party join us.

    I'd love your thoughts!

I've done a combination of the Belize Zoo and Cave Tubing before. There was never a problem with time or anything. You can arrange your tour with waytogotoursbelize.com they are very reliable and i've used them more than once on my trip to Belize. They can customize your tour to suit your liking. I have a Lamanai Tour booked with them at the ending of March that im looking forward to :)
