  1. The Tour is back down to $99 this morning. I wanted to wait for another flash sale but figured I would just pay $99 today and if there is a flash sale before I sail, I will call for a refund. So, if anyone is interested I would buy it now before it goes back up to $119. I learned my lesson not buying the SEA thermal spa pass at $249 and how it’s up to $399.

  2. I have sailed in many A1 cabins on the S-class ships. We are always on deck 11 midship and never have any problems. Once in awhile you might hear the chairs being moved on the pool deck during the early morning but that’s only if your balcony door is open or you are sitting in your balcony. Otherwise no problems at all.

  3. I certainly hope they actually went with the hippie bus. I've invested in some pretty cool t-shirts. Be sure to get pictures of your outfit!

I have my hippie bus outfit including special sunglasses ready for pictures! That bus better be in the retreat. I love the idea of a closet too! So many good ideas in this thread!

  4. I forgot to add that X adds 18 % gratuity so it comes out to $470, for two people, for 7 days! That is crazy money. I would really have to think about and calculate how much time I will actually use it. I would assume they will add the same gratuity to the day pass, making it close to $70 a day. Either way you slice it, that is pricey.

I agree. Too pricey for 7 days. I might try it for a day just to experience everything the ship has to offer.
  5. What a great threat topic! We are cruising 12/6 preview cruise b2b with the maiden voyage on 12/9. I have prepared a spreadsheet regarding our dinner plans. I purchased a 4 night dinning package before the price went up for my 7 day cruise. Therefore, I have prepared a request list for my butler with regards to options for restaurant and times, in order to help get reservations set when we board. For each day, on my spreadsheet, I have our lunch and dinner venues identified with alternative options, so we can ensure to try all venues over our 10 days onboard.

I have already ordered some new cloths for both myself and DH. We purchased three excursions during the last flash sale but plan to spend most of our time exploring the ship and attempting to try every new cocktail on each menu. I have already started setting aside things we might need i.e. water proof cell phone cases, self stick, new flip flops, Go Pro, etc. We also go new luggage, because we needed it, that is set aside to be used on our Edge trip. I know what I am wearing on my Redeye to Florida and I have started to get a list of outfits and necessary shoe wear together, so I do not overpack.

We have already checked in and printed out our express passes. I continue to check each day so I can order luggage tags. In the coming weeks, I will start to put more stuff aside in preparation of packing the weekend before we leave. I think my spare bedroom will become Edge Central. I am so very excited! Only about 60 some days togo before we board!

  6. As of this morning the cruise planner option has changed for the SEA Thermal Pass and no longer mentions any reference to the T-pool. I believe that someone finally realized this was a mistake and removed it. The price has remained the same, which is $399 for a 7 day couple pass. This is way too high and I feel previous price of $249 was more in line with reason. I was only thinking about paying $399 because of the addition of the T pool but given it appears not to exist, I don't think I can stomach $399 for a 7 day pass.

  7. Oh no, there goes any hope of the T Pool....my cruise planner changed overnight as well.

I wonder if people who purchased the T Pool + Thermal Suites passes will say something to Celebrity (especially if they don't find out until onboard). The prices are higher than initially laid out in May in the Spa FAQs: "SEA Thermal Suite day and cruise passes are available for purchase and range in pricing from a $49 day pass to a $249 couples cruise pass. Guests can book while onboard at the Spa on Edge. Prices do not fluctuate between sea and port days." We also saw lower prices in our cruise planners initially, but of course it is about supply and demand so we will see what happens with the prices now that there is no T Pool.

Maybe there will be a sale soon that includes the Thermal Suite passes. With a 20% sale, the passes would be $175 for a single and $319 for a couple - closer to the original prices they had envisioned and closer to what I would pay. I will probably try it out with my CC free pass on port days. It does make AQ more desirable. :D

For me, it is sad, but at least I know.

I am sad too but glad we finally get an answer regarding the T pool. Haha unless it changes again to add it back, which at this rate wouldn’t surprise me.

I actually just emailed CC to see now since the T pool has been removed if they will honor the originally advertised price. I don’t think I will have much luck but I might as well try. I agree, if there is a sale I would be inclined to buy it but at the current prices it’s just too much. My DH wants to have the pass but I can’t justify the current price knowing we will only use it 1/2 the time. Once per cruise on a port day via CC might just be the way to go for us too.

  8. As of this morning the reference to the T pool has been removed on my cruise planner. It now shows only “SEA thermal wellness experience week pass” however the price remains the same at $219/$399 for couple. I am kicking myself for not purchasing the week pass before the price increase. I was justifying paying the extra money for the T pool but now it appears there will be no T pool.

    • Thanks 1
  9. Nice foyer pics thank you! The elevators on EDGE have doors that open and close much faster, and that alone is expected to decrease wait time significantly.

I don't think they are computerized/prioritized like the elevators on the new CARNIVAL HORIZON. Those are quite interesting and take some getting used to. Instead of an up/down call button, there is a screen that you program what deck you want to go to. It then tells you which elevator (they are lettered) will take you to that deck. When you step on the elevator, you don't punch any buttons. It just takes you to the deck you indicated.

The elevators at my office are like the ones you described. I hit the floor number and it tells me which elevator to get into. That type is very efficient and decreases you wait time. I hope Edge has this elevator technology!

  10. Thank you for all you have done to guide us through this incredible build since December 3, 2016. As things are winding down on the build, my excitement is ramping up. This thread has been amazing in so many ways and I look forward to reading the posts every day. It is the posters who make this a wonderful thread (with Lloyd as our fearless leader).

This thread has been a long, winding road, taking us through many topics, but maybe that was meant to be. So many people read this thread and it is like a central gathering place to get the latest and greatest info and get the most input when you have questions and concerns. Though occasionally it feels a bit bogged down to me (but those issues were important to others and I'm sure I've bogged it down for others as well), who cares when overall it has been exciting and enlightening (with a little humor and drama thrown in). [emoji3]

Lloyd, I am so happy that you will continue to take us through the Edge delivery to X, the crossing and the first cruises and more. You are a class act!! [emoji3]

Well Said! Thank you Lloyd and VT! This has been an amazing journey with you all and I have enjoyed every post.

  11. Celebrity called me today to let me know they are refunding my hot glass class, because there isn’t one. It wasn’t supposed to be listed for all ships. I asked her about the t-poll and she said yes, there is one and all the info on the spa and gym hasn’t been released yet. Hope she’s correct!

Thank you! I don’t see why X did a big spa reveal and didn’t include everything but what do I know. I still think with a T pool $400 a couple is a lot for 7 days but I know I will end up buying it because this is the first cruise in a long time we don’t have AQ. We are in an SS and I was hoping to wait until we got onboard for a discount but I don’t think that will happen. Thank you for sharing the info!

  12. I just compared this photo to the video mock up of the SS and it appears, in the photo below the closet has yet to be installed. That is why the headboard sticks out into the hallway.

  13. I still don't think this T-pool thing is real. I think X just decided to increase the price of the pass. However, if there is a T-pool, that would been great! VT, you have to let me know when you get on the 11/27 cruise, if the T-pool exists. If it does, I will pre-purchase the week pass for the high price because I really want to try it out. However, if there is no T-pool I might wait until I am on the cruise to see if I can get any type of discount. The price for a couple for 7 days, is pretty high.

  14. I cannot get enough Edge either! My DH is refusing to look at any photos or hear any info on the ship, as he wants to be surprised. I myself, enjoy learning as we go! Cannot wait to see pictures from you initial reviews from 11/27. I know we will all be waiting for you to post!

I saw this this week and like this one as well! I can't get enough Edge!! :D
  15. What I noticed about this picture is I can seen those balcony Chairs that were are the IV mockup and actual rooms, in many of the SS pictured. I really liked the chairs in the video mock up of the SS on youtube that are similar to the renderings. I hope X didn't decide to use the IV chairs in all cabins. Will it ruin my cruise, no way. I was just looking forward to the Big Blush white Chairs with light blue cushions and large table in my SS. It won't be long now until we know for sure.

  16. Seems like a constant theme of disorganization. I already prepaid my tips and purchased a drink package. If I can’t get them, it won’t break me but I at least want to try. Just seems like it should be included given the price is the same per night. Maybe a reduced OBC but still included.

Certainly the PDF language from their travel agent site (creative.rccl.com) is at odds with what Celebrity has listed on their consumer website regarding “four perks”. We have to assume this is the result of two different departments not being in sync. Or, perhaps the PDF is for a forthcoming campaign?
  17. Has anyone received any more information regarding the 4 perks for the preview cruises? I was told originally that perk was only offered for 4 night and longer cruises, however, this update has no limiting language and I would argue does say “when you book any suite” you get all 4. I am going to call and she is I can argue my way to getting this. I am paying the same rate a night as a 7 day but just prorated therefore we really should be entitled to it.
