thanks for the info! we don't need a priest and we always respect local habits and regulations . so if i pack my white shirt, golden bow tie and tuxedo (i like to do it the classic way - better overdressed than underdressed) i'll be fine.

after more than 150 seadays, most of them on Holland America ships, we've booked our first Princess cruise: a holiday 2023/2024 cruise with the Diamond Princess. Are there anythings to consider or to keep in mind? Like a dresscode? At HAL, there's the 'orange party', so we always pack something orange. Does princess have some kind of a themeparty? Any other tips or suggestions? What are the big differences between the two compagnies?

We're 4-star. Our assignet boardingtime for the MS Rotterdam leaving Amsterdam was 1:20PM. We arrived at the terminal at 11:30 AM. Looked for the mariner check-in. No problems to get on the ship. At noon we were in the main dining room for the mariners welcome back lunch.
