Thank you to the helpful replies regarding my Travel Insurance query.
BUT PLEASE, to the other replies, I DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING REGARDING HOME INSURANCE. MY QUERY WAS THE ENORMOUS AMOUNT QUOTED FOR HEALTH TRAVEL INSURANCE.

Just checked my policy from aegeas (which allows stays up to 60 days away), and this is the relevant extract with my bolding -
"Unoccupied - By unoccupied we mean that your home hasn't been or won't be lived in for more than 60 days in a row, or doesn't contain enough furniture to be lived in normally. Regular visits to the home, or occasional overnight stays, would not count as your home being lived in or as a break in this period"
So do check your policy.
We are okay as have son living at home.
The problem is the travel insurance seems pretty excessive compared to our 2 week trip to the Caribbean this March, being £1300+.

Been trying to get quotes for my husband aged 75 when we travel with a declared heart medical condition. Getting prices for this trip at £1300+.
Is this the normal price to expect?

Thanks for your info.
Can you tell me if lunch is served in the main dining rooms as can’t see it listed on the patter.

Booked this cruise, never sailed more than 17 nights.
What type of daily activities on sea days might I expect, eg talks, art classes, quizzes, etc.
Thanks
Caroline

Hi
I am considering purchasing a mobility scooter for my husband. I know that P and O need you to book an accessible cabin if you wish to take a scooter. Just wondering if this still the case if the scooter folds into a small suitcase and is only to be used ashore. My husband can manage around the ship and wouldn't use it onboard. It would be stored in the cabin. wheeled off the ship and then just used ashore. Would you still have to book an accessible cabin or would you be allowed to book a standard cabin.
This is the scooter I was looking at buying
Just wondering if anyone has been allowed to take something like this in a standard cabin.
Thanks
Have spoken to P and O today, they are adamant no mobility scooters folding or not allowed in cabins unless it is accessible one or mini suite, as I wanted to take an instant folding one. Glad to say we managed to change cabins for our next cruise at Christmas to accessible one. The customer assistant was very helpful.

Has Novo been eradicated now on ships as all posts seem to be about catching COVID on board.
Just curious.

Perusing the web for the Commodore wine list and came across the German p and o site. They were offering the choice of 4, 6, 9, 12 bottles to choose from. The cost of 4 bottles was 38:00, and 6 bottles 125:00.
On the UK site when I logged into my account I can only purchase from 6 bottles at 145:00.
Can anyone enlighten me why the difference?

Am wanting to transfer my booking of Summer 2021 to one in July 2023.
Have seen one departing in July 2022 and was hoping it would be the same for 2023.
Does anyone know when these cruises may appear on their website, or would I be better phoning Cunard.

Have Aug 1st on Queen Elizabeth but thinking of transferring this to another cruise 2022/23.

Well have taken the plunge and used my FCC from the cancelled cruise this year to March 2022 sailing on Britannia, from Barbados back to Southampton, first time on her, originally wanted to sail on Aurora.
As I've only had to pay 5% deposit it won't seem too much to lose if have to cancel.

1. Being waited on for breakfast. (Hubbys choice)
2. Going to different places without flying.
3. Getting dressed up, then going for drinks before dinner.
4. Endless choice of food (hubby again) you can see a theme here.
5. Choice of entertainment.

Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
Will be doing the eastbound sailing on August 26th.

Hubby has asked which side of the ship shall he park his car for the movie?

According to Rick Steves book Northern European Cruise Ports, the Hermitage and Peterhof are closed on Mondays.

We had cabin 6607 opposite the Ben and Jerry Suite and next to the bridge which comes down, great for watching them perform. Noticed no noise except on entertainment nights. Only minus was we didn't know whether it was day or night.

We allowed around 40 mins to get back.

We paid 9$ per person each way. There are plenty of taxis back to the port, just give yourselves plenty of time to get back.

In December last year we were picked up from Bradford at 7:00 am and at the ship by 1:30 pm. That included a comfort break of 30 mins.
