Oops! That is a link to the museum's scuba dive tour. Here is the proper link to the snorkeling tour.

We will be in Cozumel, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman next February. Does anyone know if there are snorkeling excursions where one can see underwater statues? I have read about these, but forget where they are......
Hi Ron...
From doing a little research (google), it would appear as though you might be out of luck on this cruise. It appears you may be referring the underwater museum in Cancun. Not sure if this is the place you are talking about but it looks pretty amazing!

Sounds great so far. Can't wait to hear more! We are booked on the Dawn for Jan 18/2015 in a family suite as well. Reading your review is a great way to research on both the ship and the suite experience as this cruise will be our first time on the Dawn and in a suite.

Thanks for clearing that up. :D

All the info you are looking for can be found here on CC by doing using the search function at the page. Here is a link to a recent review of a family suite on the Dawn that might help you.

For those of you who have sailed in a family suite on the Dawn, can you share what you paid (with taxes), the # of adults/children sailing and the date you sailed?
Trying to figure out if we got a good deal or a bad deal. We paid $3,600 (with taxes) for two adults and one child with a $550 on board credit. Sailing 5/30.
We are booked in an SJ suite on the Dawn as well. We are also a family of three (Mom, Dad, and 12 y/o son). We are sailing on Jan 18/15 from NO. Our 7 day Western cruise cost us the average rate, which the NCL website shows during the booking phase, of $815 pp + taxes.
In actuality our cruise fare breaks down as follows:
Adult 1 & 2 $1099.00 each and the third person (our son) was $249.00 for a grand total of $2753.03 including tax. We also will receive $450 obc with this booking. NCL has offered some better promotions since we first booked but the average cruise fare has also increased since we made our booking. The average rate is currently $949 pp as compared to the average cost of $815 pp when we booked. That is a difference of $134 pp or a total of $402 for all three of us before tax or $418.87 after the tax is added. So far the new promotions do not outweigh the lower price from when we booked so I have not altered our booking. I think we got a smoking deal so I will not alter things unless NCL makes it worth while to do so. I am super happy with the deal we already have in place. I also forgot to mention that being from Canada we were able to make our booking in Canadian dollars as NCL still offers Canadian at par with the US greenback. So that also translated to increased savings as well. We made this booking about 13.5 months in advance. The average price stayed the same until the cruise was less than a year out. That is when the cruise jumped from the average price of $815 to $949 and remains there today.
Hope this helps...

You are absolutely right..... It is still a suite and that's all that matters.

#12022 on the Dawn is a Penthouse suite. I don't know what a regular suite is. Are you referring to a mini suite? I always learn new info when I read these boards. It's great!
I thought that cabin 12022 was in the Family Suite with Balcony category....someone please help me if I am wrong. Looking at the NCL site the category appears to match what I thought.

Considering getting soda package and have some questions
1. Does NCL use Coke or Pepsi products?
2. Can I get fountain club soda (just fizzy water)?
3. Are there any other sugar free options, such as Diet Sprite?
4. Is there fountain ginger ale (for my 14 year old who is prone to seasickness)?
Thanks! NCL website is temporarily down, so checking here.
1. Pepsi Products
2. Yes, Club Soda is included with the package
3. Diet Pepsi is the only sugar free soda
4. No, Ginger Ale is not offered as part of the Soda Package
here is a link to an NCL pdf that outlines all the beverage packages

DW and I have enjoyed Le Bistro on both the Pearl and Epic. Both were spacious venues with an edge to the Epic for extra room. Very nice restaurants on both vessels IMO
-
I do not think anybody mentioned that even though all passengers are issued a sail and sign card you can allow or disallow a minor the ability to charge with their card to the room account. Very important to remember, unless you specify at check in time that yo do not want the child to be able to charge to the room account, they will have that ability. If you do not want the child(ren) to have the ability to charge be sure to request it during your check in at the terminal. If you forget, I think the onboard guest services desk could also make the change as well.

We are considering doing a back to back cruise on ships leaving from the 2 different ports.
What are the options of transportation between the 2 ports please.
Thanks in adance Heather
I would try SAS Shuttle service. They are a Lauderdale based company and because of their permit they are not allowed to do Miami-Miami transfers but do Miami-Fort Lauderdale area transfers to either hotels, airport, and Port Everglades. They can probably help you out with that transfer. Great company with super rates. We use them exclusively when transferring between Miami and Lauderdale be it to POM, FLL, or a Lauderdale hotel. Here is a link to their website.....best of luck!

We did an Eastern Caribbean on the Epic in Nov and had Premium seating for the Cirque Dreams.. We chose seats in the balcony and the view was great. I can understand what people are saying about sore necks from floor seating as most of the show is above you. I reccomend the premium seating in the balcony but where ever you choose to sit, it is an amazing show! Enjoy.

One other thing I forgot to mention Denise. In the upper right hand corner of the "Cruise Confirmation" that NCL emails to you when you make your reservation, all the promo codes are listed there. Things like Suiteobc, Latitudes, etc. You can cross reference these with the Latitudes program details to confirm your projected points for that cruise
-
How do you see the confirmation of points for each of those line items? Do you need to request an amenities confirmation from NCL or can you view it on line before your cruise?
Thanks!
Denise
Hi Denise,
No need to request a confirmation of Latitudes rewards points to be earned. I did some simple math....
On the NCL site they outline how to earn points. If you read through the Latitudes program they explain how the program works and give different examples how potential points are accumulated. I simply totalled up all the rewards our booking qualified for to come up with that point breakdown I posted earlier. Clear as mud, right?:confused:

We have a suite booked more than 9 months out with a latitudes offer. Here is a breakdown of our OBC and points for our 7 day cruise...
28 points
- 7 for each cruise day
- 7 for the suite
- 7 for more than 9 months out
- 7 for latitudes offer
$450 OBC
- $300 for the suite
- $150 for Latitudes
I am not sure how this would effect your AARP as I did not qualify for that discount. I had originally had booked before the Latitudes offer came out but when I saw the Latitudes I called my pcc to request the Latitudes offer to get the extra points. She changed my booking for the points and informed me that we would also get the $150 obc as well. End result is what is listed above!:)
- 7 for each cruise day
Why is it more expensive to book the 3rd person in the same room ?
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I think this is only a case of the NCL website displaying the "average" per person. In actuality the rates for person 1 & 2 are actually higher than what you are seeing and the 3rd person (and beyond) are actually only $249 which includes the cost of the taxes and port fees.
For example, I currently have a booking for a 7 day cruise where the website showed me the average price per person to be $815. After I completed my booking with my PCC and received the email receipt/confirmation, were the true prices revealed. The actual cost for person 1 & 2 was $1099 each and the 3rd person was $249. The rate of $249 is the regular fee for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th passenger for a seven day trip.
The NCL website is very misleading with regard to pricing. I asked my PCC why NCL chose to show their pricing in this fashion and was told they chose to display the average price pp to help people see what the pp rate will be for any given cruise.
I hope this helps and makes sense. :)
