  1. I’ve cruised quite a bit, but I’ve never cruised on Cunard. I know that some of the other cruise lines under the same ownership umbrella offer occasional specials where you can book a cruise with a reduced deposit. Does Cunard do this? If so, when might I expect to see this? Thanks in advance.
  2. I do not have a picture, but it did look like the photo posted by another person.
  3. Yes, they’ll show movies. They have blankets you can cover up with. I’ve worn a jacket. They show movies in pouring rain. I can’t answer about what’s showing now.
  4. Thanks for your report. Greenland has been on my list for a few years and it’s been fun reading about your experience.
  5. Honestly, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. I’ve spent many years seeing shows in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. I’d be fine if I never saw another production show. Cruise ship shows aren’t that good. I dislike sitting in the MDR every evening. It takes too long. I no longer sit in the sun. Although you didn’t mention it, I don’t drink anymore, so I don’t go to bars. None of those things are why I cruise. I just want to be on the ocean. I love seeing nature and natural beauty. It makes my cruise if I see whales. It’s wonderful if I can go somewhere I’ve never been. I love being away from real life. After a career of dealing with people all the time, I don’t really need to socialize. I have met some of my best friends on cruises, though, but I don’t pursue that. I read a lot of books in a quiet spot. Yes, occasionally I see a show and eat in the MDR, but that’s not why I cruise. To the OP: I’m sorry you were disappointed. It happens. Maybe you should try some other cruise companies. I did try several and usually end up coming back to Princess.
  6. Has anyone figured out just how obstructed these views are? I see some say obstructed and some say partially obstructed. Also, some say you can't access the balcony if the bunk is down. From looking at pictures, it appears that the lifeboats are below the balconies, but I'm not sure. Will there be a lifeboat completely blocking the view or is it just sticking out below? Does anyone know? Thanks. BTW, I did try to search the Everything Royal thread and couldn't find the answer if it's there.
