My mom and I are leaving next Wednesday on the Fantasy. My mom is on portable oxygen and we are curious what we have to do do with her portable oxygen bottles. We were also wondering if we have to go up a large ramp or do we get on the ship at a lower level, she will be on a scooter.

I am wondering if they are experiencing serious issues. I have a cruise booked on Fantasy for November 5. Price page shows a price of $263 pp, but when I do the mock booking it shows $296 pp. I want the $263 for a price drop

I think that she was "sick" because of the waves and how ppl are gonna end up seasick.

Most documents can't be printed until 45 days before sailing. Your boarding Pass can't be printed this early.
My cruise is 234 days out, and I have my boarding pass and luggage tags already printed!

I am cruising The Fantasy in November, can not wait to see pics!!!

If you are sailing on the Fascination, go to the bar next to the grill and see Tommy. He is AWESOME!!!!

Last April I was sailing on The Pride and I booked my Dec Fascination cruise. I got my OBC and after several price drops, I still had the OBC. You wont lose it.

I have always paid with cash. I set up cash account and add cash as soon as I board. I have never used a credit card for my sign and sail.

I think that I great deal. 5 days for $928.50, including gratuities, stopping at Nassau and Little Stirup Cay.

My mom and I are sailing on The Fantasy in November. I would like the scoop on her.

In Baltimore, the wheelchairs don't have to take the ramp. The go in the "employee" entrance & take the elevator up instead.
My mom and I sailed out of Baltimore in April, she was in a wheelchair and had a Carnival employee push her up the gangway.

I have been on the Pride and loved it. She was my 1st and so far my favorite!!

Thank you for all of the replies. Unfortunately my sister is unable to go with me. I talked it over with my mom and she is going to go, but cant afford a whole lot. So I booked 5 days out of Charleston going to Nassau and Little Stirrup Cay, for just $928.50. Also booked Faster to the Fun and a Clam Shell for Little Stirrup Cay!!

My sister and I are taking a cruise in November, just trying to decide which one to take. We have it narrowed down to 2. The first one is a 7 day Caribbean out of Charleston, SC on the Fantasy, with stops in Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, comes out to $1428. The second choice is a 5 day Bahamas cruise out of Jacksonville on the Fascination, with stops at Half Moon Cay and Nassau for $1354, that's with an aft balcony. No balcony on the Fantasy. I welcome all opinions.

It's POSSIBLE and I stress POSSIBLE they may not do a repositioning cruise. A repo cruise was originally planned for the Pride when she relocates to Tampa, but that was canceled when the drydock improvements were scheduled. The Liberty is relocating to Port Canaveral without a repo cruise as well.
Either way, great to hear the Pride will be coming back to Baltimore!!
John posted on his FB page that there will be a 14 day repo cruise from Tampa to Baltimore in March 2015, he says that it should be posted on carnival.com sometime today to book.

I have been on the Fascination, but it has been a few years. We had a great time on the smaller ship. It's so easy to get around and won't overwhelm your first timer friends.
We haven't stayed on the Riviera deck, but if I recall correctly the room safes were a number code you punch in. You make up the code.
As far as parking, there is an off-site area way out at the airport, called VIP parking. There is another off-site parking area that is about a mile away from the terminal. If you look on Google Maps at the cruise terminal, you can see it just north of the terminal. I could not find a website for it, and don't know if it is still open for business, but when we cruised it was $8 per day. The lot is fenced and they take you right to the terminal and bring you back afterwards. It is about a 3 minute drive from lot to the pier.
The contact info I have for them is: Cruise Parking Jacksonville 3500 Zoo Pkwy Jacksonville, FL 32226 Phone number (904) 428-3788
Sailed in December, parking outside terminal has been shut down

I am not 100% sure, but I think that the trundle would slide under the King bed

I had two uppers on my Fascination cruise, I didn't like it. The one was right above my head and I had to be careful sitting up in the middle of the night or I was gonna bump my head.

When my Mom and I sailed out of Baltimore, on The Pride, back in April she didn't need hers, but the lady that checked us in said that some ports do require it. So she keeps a copy with her travel documents.
-
When my mom and I sailed on the Pride, in April, her cousin called and had money put on my mom's S&S acct

I stayed at the Comfort Suites Airport, using an employee discount and pd $35 for the room, it would have cost me $74 to park my car and take the shuttle, saving me only $1. I decided to just park in the lot, you really don't save that much money.
Who is doing the Single Digit Dance with me?
