  1. My mom and I are leaving next Wednesday on the Fantasy. My mom is on portable oxygen and we are curious what we have to do do with her portable oxygen bottles. We were also wondering if we have to go up a large ramp or do we get on the ship at a lower level, she will be on a scooter.

  2. Thank you for all of the replies. Unfortunately my sister is unable to go with me. I talked it over with my mom and she is going to go, but cant afford a whole lot. So I booked 5 days out of Charleston going to Nassau and Little Stirrup Cay, for just $928.50. Also booked Faster to the Fun and a Clam Shell for Little Stirrup Cay!!

  3. My sister and I are taking a cruise in November, just trying to decide which one to take. We have it narrowed down to 2. The first one is a 7 day Caribbean out of Charleston, SC on the Fantasy, with stops in Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, comes out to $1428. The second choice is a 5 day Bahamas cruise out of Jacksonville on the Fascination, with stops at Half Moon Cay and Nassau for $1354, that's with an aft balcony. No balcony on the Fantasy. I welcome all opinions.

  4. It's POSSIBLE and I stress POSSIBLE they may not do a repositioning cruise. A repo cruise was originally planned for the Pride when she relocates to Tampa, but that was canceled when the drydock improvements were scheduled. The Liberty is relocating to Port Canaveral without a repo cruise as well.

Either way, great to hear the Pride will be coming back to Baltimore!!

John posted on his FB page that there will be a 14 day repo cruise from Tampa to Baltimore in March 2015, he says that it should be posted on carnival.com sometime today to book.

  5. I have been on the Fascination, but it has been a few years. We had a great time on the smaller ship. It's so easy to get around and won't overwhelm your first timer friends.

We haven't stayed on the Riviera deck, but if I recall correctly the room safes were a number code you punch in. You make up the code.

As far as parking, there is an off-site area way out at the airport, called VIP parking. There is another off-site parking area that is about a mile away from the terminal. If you look on Google Maps at the cruise terminal, you can see it just north of the terminal. I could not find a website for it, and don't know if it is still open for business, but when we cruised it was $8 per day. The lot is fenced and they take you right to the terminal and bring you back afterwards. It is about a 3 minute drive from lot to the pier.

The contact info I have for them is: Cruise Parking Jacksonville 3500 Zoo Pkwy Jacksonville, FL 32226 Phone number (904) 428-3788

Sailed in December, parking outside terminal has been shut down
