Yes, this reviewer is definitely on crack. Is he from Toronto? My fave is the comment that the staff were drunk.

Florida Keys Girl: Thanks for the blogs, especially the menus. I now fully see why so many Critics rave about the food on Seabourn and am comfy that I will be well-nourished. Thanks for taking the time to document all of this.

I've been thinking a lot about this thread and the original review. Reviews are always subjective, one person's opinion, a world seen through her/his own lens. I always appreciate the time taken to write up a review as it helps me shop for a cruise, or anticipate issues that I need to work around while on board. I think it's terrific that other Seabourn travelers offered their own assessments. I do try to ignore comments that are a little too picky or irrelevant to my own priorities. One major issue comes up for me, the need to be a good consumer. We all spend a lot of money on cruises and want to shop for a good value. Seabourn is expensive and we want adequate value for our money. The reviewer did not think he got his money's worth, and I am sympathetic. However, based upon so many other thoughtful comments and reviews from Cruise Critics, my own comparison shopping among other cruise options and land-based vacations, I am comfortable that my up-coming first time trip on Seabourn (68 days! Yikes!) will be an incredible experience. I fully intend to not let little issues ruin my attitude and thus my 68-day cruise.

Here are a couple of questions for Seabourn veterans: We are new to Seabourn, our first time will be in January. Is there fresh-squeezed OJ available for breakfast? And can one order a smoothie for breakfast?

Passion fruit! Yum, yum! Now I am dreaming of Hawaiian papaya, especially since our Sojourn cruise will have 4 ports in Hawaii.

Thanks to everyone for the tips, especially Chairsin. We are berry addicts, and I am probably more concerned about fresh fruit than the booze aboard the Sojourn, so I plan to ask an insist on lots of secret berries. And shopping with the Chef sounds like great fun, since I am convinced that the food markets are always some of the most interesting places in any town.

Vacationv: Thanks for taking the time to write up your review. We are on the Sojourn for 68 days this coming January and are excited, however cautionary. Your comments on the entertainment are interesting, although not surprising. We've have similar experiences on Azamara wtih very tired old fashioned quasi-Broadway entertainment. The option of movies on the TV en-suite is good to have, plus there always is the casino, I guess...

Baychilla: Loved your photos and commentary!

This may be too late for us. We are on the 68-day cruise from Los Angeles on the Sojourn Jan. 4, our first Seabourn trip. Never heard about the referral coupon before. I guess I should be a more aggressive Cruise Critic. Anyway, we have made our final payment. Is it too late to snag a coupon and use it?

Yes, is there any update? How is it going?
