Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I tried calling in to have my package upgraded to higher speed internet and 2 logins added to my wifes account for my kids. The agent told me this can only be done once aboard? IS this correct? and what should the fee be to increase my speed? and to add 2 additional logins to my wifes account?
  2. I'm not sure what guaranteed status is? We booked through HAL directly. When we received our itin it showed the cabin number but when i looked at the ship map on trip advisor there's an * beside our room. I called in a couple times and kept getting different answers finally someone confirmed its an ambulatory room. We are a young family with no issues. I asked for us to be moved to a regular room in the category we paid for they said its fully booked, but if we wanted we could pay an extra $1400 for an upgrade?? We don't travel that often and that would break our bank leavings us with very little to enjoy excursions. We never asked for this room nor was it explained to us.
  3. I noticed we somehow got booked into an ambulatory room without our knowledge as this was never explained to us. Whats the key difference? Do we have any recourse as cruise line is stating the cruise is sold out?
  4. I know restaurants such as Pinnacle Grill, Canaletto and Tamarind are not included in the price of the cruise but i assumed basics like the coffee shop would be included. I had head the Grand Dutch cafe is not included for coffee, but is for food? Is this accurate?
  5. Thanks for the response @pierces Will there be ship photographers walking around to capture pics the day the ship is in glacier bay?
  6. Thanks for your response. Also, unfortunately i have payroll due while we are on the ship or my employees back home wont' get paid. I'm assuming i should upgrade my plan. I will only need access to the payroll website. Also, will i have to take my laptop down or is there a business center on board where i can have access to a desktop for 30 mins?
  7. I just wanted to enquire from past guests how reliabe the data package is thats included in the Have it all package? is it sufficient to surf the web, respond to emails and check social media? I also, understand there's an enhanced package available? Whats the typical upgrade cost for a 7 day cruise and is it worth it? Lastly, my wife and i have the package but kids do not, is it shareable? or should we purchase them their own package?
  8. Hey all, I'm bit of a whiskey connoisseur and on holidays i usually like to indulge a bit so we purchased the have it all package. I noticed in the fine print they allow up to 15 drinks a day (which is plenty) however the cost has to be $11 and under (which i can work with). However i typically like double drinks in a short glass and this would put the cost at over $11. I don't think i have the option of just paying the difference in price between a single and double nor will they all you to order 2 singles at one time. I'm thinking this will be super inconvenient if i'm walking back and forth to the bar. Is the above accurate? if so, what have others done in this situation. It won't make or break my trip rather i'm looking for a hassle free experience.
  9. Hi all, We are taking the HAL inside passage Alaskan cruise in August. I was hoping someone could suggest some can't miss locations where we could get that perfect family pic? We are looking more for a location with the landscape in the back vs. capturing the ship. Is there a particular excursion we should do? Do they have photographers on board that can perhaps capture the 4 of us infront of a glacier or other landmark?
