  1. This trip will be our third time to Belize and have done most favorite things on the Island.  On other Islands we have rented a golf cart and toured around the island on our own.

Has anyone done that on Belize?

If so who did you rent the golf cart through?

Was it worth it on this Island?

Were you able to get to places that you didn't see (if you have been to Belize other times)?

    Pros/Cons?

    Cheers!

  2. Talked with Debbie at Bonaire Cruisers, and she is already 100% book for golf carts on the day we are in with Carnival.  Someone said that there is another company that rents them.  Does anyone know of another company on the Island that rents golf carts?

       Cheers!

  3. We will be on Carnival Celebration and port from 0800 - 220 in Bonaire.  We have a golf cart scheduled for the day but looking for something to do from early evening until about 1900. Looking for recommendations for good Local Sea Food restaurants and places to get Bonaire specialty drinks.  Just need to be back on ship around 2100 or so so I'd guess somewhat close to the port.

      Cheers!

  4. Quick question.  I plan to do the golf cart rental when we are there.  It sounds like going SOUTH have a few more things to do.  Are there any beaches (either North or South) that have rental chairs/umbrellas?  Or just plan to bring beach towels from the ship?

  5. Hoping some folks in here can help me out.  We are going to Cancun and want to get some dental work done while we are there.  We've been looking for "Cancun Dental Forums" but no luck so figured we would try on our cruise forum to see if we can get some recommendations.  Looking for dental work recommendations and a good safe location to stay that is close to the dental office so we can get back and forth.  We have never been to Cancun so have no idea of the town or where to go and not to go.  Any help would be great!

    Cheers!

  6. We are doing the 12 day Panama Canal cruise May 21, leaving out of Port Canaveral, FL and ending up in the Port of Galveston.  Have to fly back home to Tampa.  Looking at catching a one way direct flight from Houston back to Tampa.  Anyone that has done a cruise in/out of Galveston how did you get to the Port from Houston?  Its not close, maybe 1 hr ride.  Looking for shuttle recommendations etc...

    Cheers!

  7. So we are ending our Panama Canal in Galveston.  Have to fly back from to Tampa.  I see there are a few different airports in Houston .  We would rather take a non-stop from Houston to Tampa.  I think IAH has more direct than the other airport.  My question is how do we get from the Galveston Port (Carnival) to Houston?  I really don't want to rent a car..is there shuttles organized by Carnival or third party vendors that will run us to Houston.  It looks to be at least 60 minutes (probably more) as we get back into Port on a Friday morning.

     Recommendations?

       Cheers!

  8. This is the only ABC Island we have not been to and have heard some say it has some of the best snorkeling in the entire Caribbean.  Looking for some recommendations for some beach snorkeling.  I have my own equipment and very experienced/strong swimmer.  My wife doesn't snorkel so need to find a place we can take a bus/taxi, etc...with a place for her to sit for a few hours in a chair and that sells drinks and maybe snacks while I do some snorkeling.

      Thanx for the help!

  9. If we rent a golf cart can we bring it and park it at the water taxi for a few hours to catch it over to Klien Bonaire?  I've been told if I want to snorkel its the best place out of all three (ABC) Islands to do it at.

  10. Wife and I are on Carnival to the ABC's.  We plan to do the normal stuff on them but wonder if there is a run distillery on one of the 3 ABS's that we can get to?  If a few which are the better ones to get to visit?

      Cheers!

One super-easy activity in Bonaire is to swim right in the shadow of the ship. It's an easy walk from the gangway - just a couple hundred yards towards the stern southbound on Kaya Hellmund  - to a spot where they have a small, elevated wooden pier you can jump & dive from into the water. Free. Not the biggest area & not beachy at all, but relaxed and fun. You can come & go as you please.

If you have your snorkelling gear, you can similarly snorkel from a number of different spots just a few hundred yards from the ship for free. Just stroll up Kaya Hellmund northbound and there are several spots where there are stone & concrete steps going right into the water.

I have to say if you like snorkelling at all and are visiting Bonaire, it's almost criminal to not snorkel there. Bonaire is one of the best places on the planet for easily accessible snorkelling as well as guaranteed clear water.

The salt flats on the south side of the island are another super-easy excursion. There's nothing quite like it anywhere else in the world - very unique opportunity, and it's something you could do even if your group wanted to sleep in and start a little later since a van tour would only take a couple hours.

Overall, it's well worth getting off the ship in Bonaire. There are no crowds to have to fight, no vendors chasing after you hawking their wares. The whole island is off the beaten tourist path to begin with, and very relaxed.

Just signed up on a Carnival trip down there in 2020 and have never been to Bonaire.  I love to snorkel and this is great info as the wife doen'st like to really get in the water that much and this sounds like I can get some snorkeling in for some time and have time to spare to do other things!!

  12. We just returned on Carnival Paradise and in Cozumel scheduled a private tour with Black Hat Cozumel, link up time was 11 AM as the ship didn't dock until 1015.  We got off went to the taxi stand looked for the van with Black Hat and found it and introduced ourselves, Eli, he said he just arrived and we were not scheduled until noon (REMEMBER: Cozumel is 1 hr ahead EST) he went and told his boss and got the all clear and off we went.  He took us to a tequila tour stop, then to the other side of the Island for a few drink stops and to a beach where we were the only ones on it!! and thanks to Dorian there were 5 ships in port that day!!!! We then went to see the light house on the way back.  I asked hi mif he could stop at a place that had fresh conch and he made a few calls and found a great place that had some of the best conch ceviche we've had in a long time.  IF you all have done to standard cozumel stuff and want something different contact Black Hat tours on fb and schedule a tour with them!!  They are the best and come at a great price!

  13. Going to be in Grand Cayman for the day on a Carnival ship and looking to see where we can find some fresh conch and/or conch fritters?  We don't have much planned excpet we have to find some of the local Big Black Dick Rum's, once we find them we can go where ever for the fresh conch.

       Cheers!

  14. I have to find it while we are there in 2 weeks.  Can I purchase it in most bottle shops or do I need to find the distillery or a certian place that sells it?  The last 2 times we were there I don't recall seeing it so I'm thinking we need to go to a specific place to get it.

      Cheers!!
