"To build off'"? WHERE are these free specialty coffees (of which you speak available? Or are you referring to the free swill on LIDO?
Says “select” not “specialty”.

Not true, we have been on the Fascination 3 times and the muster drill has always been inside.
Same here. We were just on Sensation in April and had Muster inside. Same on Elation in October 2016.

In the self serve ice machine, it’s the “pellet” shaped ice. From the bars is the cubes. My metal water bottle has a small opening as well. Just took a while to fill it from a cup. I wouldn’t put it directly under the dispenser. That’s pretty nasty anyway. 😂

On our Spring Break Cruise last week on the Sensation, there were maybe 15-20 total. They moved the party to the Michelangelo Lounge.

I did the falls on Chacos. Pretty much like Tevas.

Great comparison. We’ve thought about trying NCL because of the discounts for Total Rewards. Haven’t taken the plunge yet.

Early riser here too, however, we have chosen late every cruise. We don’t eat here till after 7pm so that would just be a pita to get ready so early. We stay up till 2 am so we aren’t eating right before bed either. Down by 2, up by 6 even on vacation.

We may not even want to eat all together each night, so those would probably be easy to seat. We have always gotten late, so obviously we like to eat late. Even later than normal late dining will be a great option this time. There’s a lot of girls to get ready by 8:15. Ha ha doubt we would want to be seated before 8 any night. Just hate to be a pITA for the dining staff.

This will be our first time doing anytime dining, we normally do late. Thought we would try something different this cruise. Sensation from Miami in April BTW. Our party has grown from our normal 8 to 15. 9 adults, the rest kids ranging from 1 10 year old and 5 16/17 year olds. Only one boy in the group. We have NO problem being separated from the teens. Is it possible to have such a large group sat together. Meaning adults at one table, kids at other table. All the kids save one have been on at least 6-10 cruises, so they know the ins and outs of MDR dining edicate. But we still would like to be close. Not a huge biggie if we can’t, but we would like to be seated close to the same time as the other table.

Loved the Elation. We stayed in one of the new cabins in August. They are on the top deck right above the spa.

Erin Weigand? I don’t believe I’ve heard her mentioned before.

Does Carnival supply the blankets? Or is there a throw blanket in your room you take with you? This sounds awesome!
I brought a blanket with me. I didnt see any Carnival blankets, but we also usually got 4 towels as well. I also had a wool wrap I had brought as well..

I learned that grabbing a clamshell in Serenity on sea days is the best way to spend the day in Glacier Bay. Blankets and extra towels make it cozy, and perfect for naps.

This is old so the gift has changed.
I got the beach bag posted the first of September, so it’s not that old.

The idea that "you will be denied boarding if you're not aboard 90 minute prior to sailing" is a bunch of BS. I've shown up with less than an hour to spare and had no problems all.
Why do people continue to promote this lie?
If people would look at their boarding pass it clearly states departure time at 4 final boarding is 3. Not quite 90 minuets. I agree with you. Quit spreading lies and just look at the boarding pass.

I'm also a big fan of being able to see Glacier Bay, and in 2018 only Princess, Holland America & NCL got concessions (permission from Nat Park Svc) to sail there. I haven't been able to find 2019 information (it's not the same every year, though historically Princess and HAL are the longest sailing there and I don't know of a year where they haven't been awarded the concession). Oh, also a one-way itinerary allows you time to do a land trip before or after your cruise
Our Carnival Legend cruise in September sails through Glacier Bay.

Thanks for this review. We leave out September 5th for the last cruise of the season. Can’t wait to see your pictures.

I bring my Yeti and they just fill that up with the whole can. I’ve never gotten a flat Coke.

We are flying ATL to JAX on Saturday for our Elation Cruise. I’m more afraid of wrecking driving down from NC than us having flight problems. We usually do drive, but it was cheaper for 3 of us to fly, than to drive down, get a hotel, and pay for parking. Plus we don’t waste 2 days driving there and back.
-
Good for you. Most of us have not experienced that higher power.
Ramona
Exactly! :') And I have spent probably $30 on oil and a diffuser, not a fortune. Seriously this forum is as bad as Facebook.. :'):'):')

Is there fridge in the rooms on magic? please
Yes, and it kept my LaCroix nice and cold all cruise no problem.
-
Luckily we’ve never had a hot cabin.
-
We had that upsell as well on Magic a few months ago. We kept the cove and I’m so glad we did!

Why would you possibly get extra days added for days that you did not pay for?
I was on the Elation 5 day that turned into a 6 day due to Hurricane Matthew. They gave us credit for the extra day. That extra day will push me to Platinum on our 8 day Alaska cruise in September.
And yes, the people who had Cheers got it extended as well.
Flying in to San Juan day of cruise. anyone experience missed ship?

We thought about flying in day of to San Juan. Frontier only had flights on Sunday going down. But finally found a good flight on Saturday on Delta and just decided to do that. Our cruise is July 7 th and our all aboard is 3pm. It would probably be ok since we are just coming from ATL, but I’m glad we decided to go down a day early.
