  1. How does one access the Wake View bar on the Fiesta Deck?  I looked at pictures, but all I could see was a stairwell in Club fusion. Can you use the elevator in the dining room during the day? If you have sailed on her before, I would appreciate any other tips to getting around. We are on Emerald Deck midship sailing to Alaska.  Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

How about bringing a French Press and ordering a pot of hot water (like you would for tea) from room service?

That is exactly what I wrote earlier. I have a small 1 cup serving french press made out of plastic. Takes up very little room and i can easily take it with me or order hot water from room service.  Incidentally, I am looking at booking a Sun Princess future cruise and I noticed a coffee pot in their pictures of the new rooms. This is a big draw for me!

The first thing I would do unless you do not care what check in time you get is be on the Carnival web site 14 days prior to sailing, at midnight EST. Grab your time then you can fill out the rest of the info as stated above.

Can you check in on the HUB app?

    I'm GUESSING I can't but figured I'll ask...

I have a lightweight coffee maker I take to Vegas...was wondering if they will let me bring that onboard or will it be confiscated?

Since I won't have the drink package this time, I'm looking for ways to get some decent coffee...

I am bringing my coffee press with me. It is not electric and it is a 1 cup serving size. Take it to buffet and pour hot water over it. Good Luck. I am a coffee snob.

  5. It has been many years since we have cruised on RC. We have been sailing on Disney, Princess and HAL for more than 10 years.  Now it is time to put Disney to rest (all grandkids are grown) and do a Transatlantic for me and DH. I am looking at Voyager of the seas.  Can someone with experience on this ship please help me choose between an inside PV room or an oversized aft window view? I am not interested in a balcony for this itinerary.  I would appreciate your sincere insight and advice. Thanks in advance.

  6.  Howdy Neighbor!  We are from Fort Worth and in our 60's. We have sailed to Alaska 3 times. Next summer we are doing a land and sea trip.  We think Princess has the best itineraries and easy access to ports, but HAL is a very close second. We now definitely prefer sailing out of Vancouver over Seattle for many reasons already stated here. Photos and scenery are spectacular.  The only reason that I would sail out of Seattle is if there is a long enough stop in Victoria to do an excursion to Butchert Gardens.  Hope this helps.

LOL, what are these heels you speak of?🤣  I think the last time I wore an actual heel with size, I was dancing to Night Fever in the late 70's with a satin jumpsuit on.....I was in my late teens back then!  Had a pair of J. Renee's for my oldest son's rehearsal dinner that were amazing, a bout of vertigo ended wearing those so it's been flats since then....that was 2007.  I'm not sure when the last time I had stockings on was...probably my youngest son's wedding in 2015.  Slacks rule the day for me....at work and on cruises.  🙂  This 60 year old is doing orthopedic shoes these days, sadly.  I haven't found any nice enough for my upcoming cruise though.

I had to laugh! Your post could have been written by me.   I found the most incredible dress wedge!  Mephisto Lissandra. Even I can wear them on a cruise! I am 70 and a big girl. These are so cute that my 18 year old GD borrows them.

Personally, I find this topic to often be counter-productive to my idea of space saving. It usually involves bringing a bunch of extra organizers and whatnot in an already limited space. I absolutely hate clutter in the cabin. Since there's only 2 of us, we really don't have issues with having enough room in the supplied closets, shelves, and drawers. I like walking in the room, and it looks just like I did when I boarded the ship.

I guess I should have made my title " How to save space while traveling via air".  I was merely trying to help others by sharing my experience and thought that perhaps others might have a secret or two to share that hasn't been on here recently.  I agree about the clutter, we have  been consciously deleting items that we really do not have to have when flying. It is very freeing.

We have always gotten it on our past cruises, but it isn't showing up on any of the ones I booked recently. I did go to the Princess site and complete the form again.

Well, here's something which others might not think of.  I still had not received my DH Military benefit after completing all the requirements and sending an email twice. I asked my DH to logon to his account to see if he could see it there.  That is when we found an error--somehow his PP number was wrong in his account but correct in mine.  It took 2 more phone calls and his account is now merged with mine. They were not able to give him his own account, but that is ok with us. We received the MOBC the next day!

Since I have first submitted my DD-214 my Military OBC is always immediately on any of my cruises.  SHOBC I must submit and it posts with a day or two.

    Cheers

It is a clip to hold your medallion. On the Princess website, if you scroll down where they discuss the packages, there is a picture of a ‘striped’ clip. The one being provided lately is a solid ‘ blue’ color, this color is supposedly exclusively for the ‘premier’ package and cannot be purchased at ocean front on the ship. If you buy the ‘premier’ package on board, the clip is supposed to be delivered to your cabin. If you have purchased premier pre cruise, it will be delivered with your medallion if your ordered home delivery, else it will be with your medallion at the port when you pick it up.

I believe I have seen other ‘colors’ offered at Ocean front on the ship and the cost was $6.

Thank you for the explanation! This is helpful information for me.  I usually take great care in reading all the fine print, however, all of these changes had me slightly overwhelmed and I must have missed it.
