I thought I read you could take the GC to the casino and just cash them in for regular cash. Is that not right? I was going to use this as a way to save 10% and not carry a lot of cash

we had the same dilemma and have eventually decided on a wine tasting tour from provencewinetours who were recommended on these boards.

 

As our Italy tours will be all about history we decided this would be a nice change of pace and will get us out from the built up area around Toulon

thank you! yes I should have checked my math! I knew it didn't seem right, otherwise why would anyone take the drink package instead of the on board credit.

From my reading it appears I can wait and purchase the drink package on board using the OLife onboard credit. Assuming the price on board isn't different than the listed Premium package price on their website ($59.95/day/pp) a seven day package for two is about $420. If we choose the OBC of $300/pp then we are ahead $120 to use on other stuff if we decide to purchase the drink package after all.

Do I have this right?

We just stayed two nights at Hotel Becher in Venice. What an awesome stay. We had a balcony overlooking a side canal that all the Gondola's went down. The hotel has its own private dock with tables for breakfast or to just relax with a glass of wine like we did. Breakfast was included. It is behind the St Marks Square area. We loved the location and the hotel. This was our second stay in Venice. We splurged and took private boats to and from the hotel, but taking the public boats would have been easy.

Seriously considering. This is the same itinerary we did for our 25 yr anniversary in 2012 and it was amazing. 2017 will be our 30yr anniversary and my 50 bday. I think this could be the perfect fit!

Thank you Joanna!! What a great review and it is so close to the itinerary we have planned I've gained some great ideas! The cruise is the end of our European trip for our son's graduation starting late June this year. We will be going to Prague, Croatia, Venice, Florence Rome and then the cruise. I got some great tips and information from your review for our trip and will be contacting some of the excursions you used. I already know I will be re reading it to find what i missed and what i must do or not do.
