  1. She did share a suite with a friend on our last cruise (she gets a police discount) and then switched cabins once onboard. So our points won't be the same anyways because she got double points, but I don't understand why my points haven't changed. I def used my C&A number.

I guess a long phone call is coming with C&A.

  2. When I got married, C&A gave me platinum status because that is what my wife is. I noticed that my points have been stuck at 40, even after 2 more cruises---guessing that is because I won't get more points until I reach 40 points without her help. She will be reaching Emerald on our next cruise, do I need to call again and have them move me to Emerald and then to Diamond when she reaches that level?

  3. That would be tough for me. My vote always goes for the cheapest way on the longest cruise, but I don't know about passing up the Allure. I've had a balcony twice and both times I can count on one hand how many times I went out there. Some people love it and find it very relaxing. I spend very little time in my room other than sleeping times. I just want to get onboard...

  4. On the Allure, I bought the package onboard while my wife was getting some lunch. I was under the impression that we both had to buy it, but they only charged me for mine and did not ask any questions about anyone else in the cabin. She bought hers 15 minutes later. If I had thought about it, I would've just paid for her drinks as we went.

  5. I would love to know the answer to this question. My wife is also on medication that only allows one drink per day, but I do enjoy the drinks. In the past, we have been getting the package, but it would save us money if I could just buy it for me and pay for her drink at dinner.

  6. Occasionally the Broward Sheriffs office will check all cabs leaving the Port to make sure the meter is running. This happened last time I got home from The Allure, there was a check point at the security gate and the officer looked inside at the meter and then told us there are no flat rates.

We saw two cabs pulled over to the side of the road, I'm guessing they were busted.
