  1. I have booked with this company.

According to Wastegirl they don't ask money in advance.

Well they have asked me to pay in advance with credir card plus 5.5% surcharge.

I am so confuse about this....

    Should I pay them?

Thank you very much in advance.

Just made a booking with Towncars.com for transport from Sydney airport to circular quay did not pay in advance

Received confirmation email straight away and it did say a 5.5% charge for credit card payment in the car also states payment on pick up $55 good value I feel

  2. ok so after getting the drinks package thing sorted the agent is trying to upsell me im assuming more for them than me lol but have been offered concierge class upgrade at a pretty good price but is an extra $1600 would love the balcony (had a balcony on solstice) but $1600 is a lot and there do not seem to be many other perks, so do i go balcony and blow the budget or stick to the inside cabin and spend the $1600 extra on spa treatments and shore tours lol.....oh what to do, i really want that balcony but it is a lot extra to cough up. maybe if i wait prices will come down and i can upgrade then? the price on offer is $3600 for 2 for the 12 nights concierge.

Ask your TA the price on a standard balcony and don't waste your money on a concierge class

Not sure about the difference on Century but I know the cabins are exactly the same on the Solstice and the perks for concierge don't amount to much

  3. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Tunnelbear was useless, but thanks anyway. Already deleted it.

There is no CHANGE COUNTRY on the homepage

just had a look at the UK site and your right there is no option to change country? also the UK prices seem bit over the top , hope something works out for you.

  4. Im in the UK, and Im redirected to the rcl.co.uk site whenever I try to get to rcl.com.

Im C&A member, but never booked thru the US site, which Id like to do now.

Ive tried a proxy server, but it doesn't work well.....never get to see $$ prices.

All I have done in the past is at the top of the home page is just click on change country

  5. Thank you for that how did you manage without a laundry:confused:

We just use the ships laundry service cant remember exact price wasn't real cheap but you have no other choice They charge per garment 1 pair socks =$2

or underwear $2 each that is just an approx. example . There are no string clothes lines in the cabin bathrooms and they don't like you using the balcony as a clothes line so as I say you don't have much choice but at the end of the day it is not much to pay when you consider the cost of the cruise

  6. I am looking for a cruise from Perth to Sydney around the top end of Australia next year. The other cruise I am looking for is from Singapore to Sydney. Any ideas:p

Celebrity Solstice February 2015 17 night top end to Sydney , we did this cruise last Feb and can highly recommend it

  7. This is another post about RCI prices but I just don't get it ,so to explain we have a booking for an ocean view cabin on Radiance , decided to look at upgrading to balcony , had a look at the prices and the price would be an extra $948.00 to upgrade to E1 balcony to what we are paying . So I contacted TA that has our booking and they told me that I would have to cancel existing booking and pay full fare? as I already had the 50% of second person on the original booking so the cost to upgrade would be $1675.00 . I could be wrong but I always thought you paid the difference I think I give up

  8. Thank you so much for the information. We will definitely be ready to go. Glad to hear it is possible. Hope you had a great cruise.

We were there on the Solstice and also Rhapsody and if you got to the line at 8.00am expect to stand in a long queue ,for the sake of an extra $60 I would go on the ships excursion.

  9. Good choice, as the decision was only yours to make and that is what you had picked first. Enjoy.:D

Well that is sort of right Mic but it was a group decision (2 couples) and the date of the Radiance was a better fit for the others, still I am not disappointed I do like the Solstice but am excited about the Radiance and as you say it is what we picked in the first place so happy days and Solstice next time

  10. So - in other words, boarding times are completely inconsistent and depend on the whim of the staff at the gangway?? . The problem with this "slack" approach is when MANY MANY turn up early (which from my experience is often the case) - what do you do then?? One minute you are letting people on early, words gets out, "don't worry about what boarding time they have given you, just turn up early!!" , everybody turns up early and then you can't handle it and don't let them on so big queues form.

The way to NOT have queues form is to make sure everybody knows their boarding time so they can come at the right time and knows that the boarding time WILL be enforced-- there is nothing more annoying (as a passenger) than turning up at the "correct" time, only to find a huge queue of people with later boarding times.

The very worst boarding occasion I have ever experienced was the Pacific Dawn cruise to PNG -- everybody was "recommended", "advised", "suggested" (whatever weasel word you want to use) to board at 10AM -- result = shambles!!!!

    Barry

You get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning?

  11. It could be the salty cruise food...

Agree with that on our last cruise I had same thing ankles swelled up got to a stage it was difficult to walk never happened before. Went down to the medical centre on board and the nurse said I could pay to see the doctor or she said that was more than likely from the amount of seasoning they put in the food (salt), So for a couple of days I stuck to salads and after 2 days back to normal so I just watched what I eat after that and no problems , but by all means if you are concerned see your doctor.

  12. We are in a similar situation but needing to decide between Solstice and Voyager of the Seas our 40th wedding anniv on 28th Nov next year and deciding on Celebrity which leaves 26th November 8 nights approx. $1200 Pacific Islands, voyager departs 18th Nov 10 nights Pacific Islans$1000 or 7 nights 28th November $800, Melb/Tasmania, a lot of difference in pricing, just trying to work out if the solstice is worth the extra money?

You would it think it would just make sense to go with the cheaper price, we haven't been on Voyager either but as I said we have been on Solstice , it is a beautiful ship , but from what I have read Radiance is supposed to really nice to but I just prefer the idea of balcony room have till end of the week to decide and which ever one you choose have a great cruise

  13. Trying to decide which one , have a current booking on a south pacific cruise on the Radiance which we haven't been on in an oceanview room. Then there's the Solstice same cruise with one extra stop (mystery island) this would be $500.00 dearer but it is a balcony cabin and includes drinks package ,we have been on the Solstice before and would like to try the Radiance but the Solstice seems a better deal ,what would you do?

    Thanks

  14. They don't use sale to mean price drops. They use it for other promotions; credit and reduced deposit.

Just the way they've always promoted these 'Wow sales'.

Onboard credit , Reduced deposits , 2nd person half price = price drop = sale

  15. Is the BOGOHO ending tomorrow? And a new WOW sale coming?

I was hoping to place a hold tonight for the BOGOHO tonight and then call tomorrow to use a NCC. I'm not sure if the WOW sale would benefit us as typically the C&A Balcony benefit is better, but then again, I'm not sure of the terms of the new WOW sale.

If I do put a hold today with the BOGOHO, I won't lose that price even if I wait to transfer a NCC tomorrow, right?

The WOW sale started today for us in Aus and no your C&A benefit is not combinable with the WOW sale , at least not here .
