We are in our mid fifites. No kids. Just want a relaxing beach for a few hours.
I know Mr Sancho's is highly recommended. But $17+tips each way for a cab?
Then $55 each. This sounds high priced.
Before we always went to Passion Island. But I am told they have a very bad seaweed problem. So this does not sound pleasant.
We are in port 11-8

We live in Fl. We are going on a cruise next week out of Tampa. Wondering where to park. A few weeks ago Tampa was flooded out. They were told to evacuate the area. I heard this on the news. So I was wondering if some open parking lot could still be muddy from this? Is it better to pay the higher fee and use the parking garage? Anyone familar with Tampa area?
We are coming from I-4 Looking for a pleasant cheap motel for the night.
Under $100 prefer under $80 with breakfast included. Any ideas?

I also am wondering where to park. The parking garage is expensive.
But I live in Fl. Tampa was flooded out the other week. They were told to evacuate the area due to flooding. So I really do not think some open lot used for parking is a good idea. It could still be muddy from this recent flooding.

Last time I sailed on her I froze in my inside cabin. So this time when I go I will bring warm PJ's and my own blanket.

What can you recomend for parking lots in Tampa? The pier parking is expensive. We are driving over from New Smyrna Beach.
Coming over on I-4 Any good reasonable price motels?
Saw the Country Inn and Suites. But it is by the Hard Rock and a truck stop.
Not sure if the area is safe to leave vehicle there all week.

Do you know of any good parking lots in Tampa? The port charges very high prices. IS FFTF really necessary? You can just go to your cabin when you board can't you? We did last time.
What were the movies playing? The broadway shows?
Best secret area to find a relaxing lounge chair?
Best place to see the sunset?
Best kept secrets on the ship?

We were assigned E196 Looks like a good area We are happy!

Does anyone have experience with Country Inn and Suites? They have a park and cruise for $129 It is near Hard Rock Casino and Lazy Days RV Park?

If you do not do all inclusive what are the fees? Entrance fee?
locker rental? lounge chair and umbrella fee? We do not drink alchohol
We do not need water toys So maybe this way would be cheaper for a few hours? Our ship gets there at 11am So we only have until 5pm at this place

What are the prices?? Entrance fee Lounge chair and umbrella fee
locker rental

In Grand Caymen use Captain Marvin's Stingray Tours. They are the original company from 1951 We really loved them. Small group They had someone go one on one with me and a life preserver snorkling for the first time. Had an amazing time. You book online with a credit card. But your card is not charged. You pay when you get there.

If you choose not to do the all inclusive what are the prices? I can see the menu and the prices online. But how much 1) entrance fee 2) fees for lounge chairs with umbrellas 3) locker rental Just trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to not do all inclusive. Our ship arrives at 11Am So we only have until 5pm Maybe all inclusive is not worth it to us We do not drink alchohol

We always loved Passion Island in Cozumel. But I see on tripadvisor and this board that MR Sancho's is highly recommended. So we plan to try that.

In Grand Caymen use Captain Marvin's Stingray Tour This company has been doing tours since 1951 Fantastic! I had never snorkeled. A person went with me one on one using the life preserver. I had the best time. A photographer took pictures posing with the stingrays and other things. Got a wonderful CD with lots of extra photos of underwater pics. Very satisfied!!

Not in the room that much. Too much else to enjoy on the ship. I agree. A bed and bath is good also. Save money

Two ways to get there. One is a twister boat. It looks like a fast very bumpy boat ride. The other one best liked and most used is a catarman ferry type boat. Takes 45 minutes. But a pleasant scenic ride. The seats are hard bench types. If it is raining the end seats will get wet. If you drank liquor at the beach the ones riding back seem to be the happiest. Singing along and laughing all the way.

Appreciate the comments! At Mr Sancho's they offer a romantic cabana and massage for two for $200 Do you think its worth it just to have a shady place to use? Our ship gets in port at 11am So by the time we get there it is past noon or 1pm So could we find a shady spot by then? I am sensitive to the sun so I need shade. Not interested in water toys. Just relaxing and swimming and eating.

Carnival Paradise is out of Tampa. It goes to Cozumel and Grand Cayman on a 5 day cruise. We went several years ago. Loved it. Just booked it again for end of Aug 31

We used Park and Go Would highly recomend them!

Which parking lot do you recomend? I saw one for $3.99 a day. Any experience with them?
-
We always did Passion Island. But I see they seems to be good reviews about Mr Sancho's On the website the lounge chairs look like they are lined up in a straight row in the sun. Can you comment on this? Can you get a comfortable lounge chair in the shade. Is another person right along side of you like in the pictures?

Has anyone recently gone to Passion Island in Cozumel? We have been many times before. Always loved it. But recently some friends of mine from work went on my recomendation. They were disappointed. They said the water was cloudy. Lots of seaweed everywhere. Can anyone comment on this?

To save money we thought we would try a guarantee. What have you recieved by doing this option? What if you don't like it?
Anyone recently been to Passion Island?

We have been to Passion Island many times. Always loved it. But some friends went last May. They said it was awful. A very bad seaweed problem.
Has anyone been very recently? Can you comment?
We are going to Cozumel Sept 3. Not sure whether to go there or somewhere else.
