You
Sorry, you can go to carnivals website and find your ship and explore your dining options and it tells what's included and things that are extra. [emoji3]
-
I am sorry if there is already a thread about this, but I'm new to the site and still learning how to navigate it.
First time cruiser here, confused about all the dining options. We are cruising Dec 11-18 on the Carnival Dream.
What is the difference in Captain's Dinner, Formal night, elegant night, Main Dining, buffets, etc.? There are SO many options? Which ones are included and which ones are extra? And what are they like?
It would be nice to have a head's up before the cruise.. Thanks in advance!!!
You

Are you planning on doing a review? We're booked for June and wished someone would post a copy of the dinner menus! They have the American table menu and we've never had that before. Wanted to reserve the steakhouse one night, but don't want to book without knowing what the new menu offers.

I still can't find it. I'm using my cell phone though. I'll look again later.

My review of the Magic is now posted on CC with pics.
I can't find it?

Nice! [emoji3]. Sounds to me nobody's on the same page anyway, so I'll make my husband wear long pants just incase. Don't wanna be kicked out. I don't think I can talk him into a kilt though [emoji5]

Thanks!

Do you have to get fancy when you eat in the steakhouse? I understand no flip flops and stuff, but can men wear khaki shorts and a polo? Women wear a sun dress? Is the dress code the same as the MDR?

As long as you have copies of the daily MDR menus [emoji5][emoji572]️ can't wait!

Just checking CC before we check out of the hotel to hop on the Magic TODAY! And, we are in the same room as OP. Totally can't wait. I imagine the carpet was soaked because of the roll in shower. I'll be sure to be careful to not let that happen.
Do you plan on doing a review? I would love for someone to post the menus for the American Table in the MDR. Have fun!

Following and can't wait to read it!

Was on the same cruise as OP. It was almost a perfect cruise and had a blast.
I have the fun times on PDF files for the trip. I will try to link them later or I can email them later, they are at home right now.
Also Elegant nights were Sunday (the first sea day) and surprisingly Wednesday (San Juan)
What about to menus? I've never been on a ship with the new menus. Everyone keeps they post it, but it's only one day.

We would like to take our grand daughter with us, she will be 22 months at the time of our cruise. Do you pay full price for them?
-
She is doing the Western. When in June are you sailing? I'm on the June 18th cruise.
If you are doing Eastern, there is a thread right now from Trumpster (just saying hi from the magic...) who just did the first Eastern out of PC. He has said he will posting them.

What itinerary are you doing? Just trying to find someone that will post the American table menu so we can reserve a night to eat in the steakhouse for our June cruise.

We are booked on the Magic in June and want to try the steakhouse also. Would love to see the menus in advance so we can book the steakhouse. We have never had the American table menu either
-
Were you able to try the Bbq again? How are the lines? Seems like it would be full sine it's only open on sea days for very little time.
-
I'm having a hard time finding a good excursion so looks like we're going to walk around in Old San Juan and do some shopping. Can anyone recommend any good places to eat? Something casual. 4 adults and a teenage girl.

Me too please! [emoji113]

If you need to go to guest services the last night
It will be worth every penny to skip the inevitable mob.
This is true. On our last cruise I had to stand in line for about 30 minutes the night before departure, and I had waited until late that night thinking it would die down.
-
Probably have to wait inline so long. Only open on sea days for 2.5 hours!
June 4th on the Magic!!
