  1. We have been on three elite cruises. My boyfriend gets the invites and I tag along. He plays ALOT on the tables. We just got back from the conquest and it was great again. Some of the slot players on the elite had 40,000-50,000 points. Elite cruises are very limited to only 40-50 invites plus their guests. Much smaller crowd than the premise or ultra cruises. It is something to experience so I would suggest taking one if the opportunity comes up again.

  2. I know that there are strategies to getting this card in the casino. What are some of your strategies?

I'd like to put it to the test on my next cruise in January.

    TIA:)

On a five day cruise it takes 1000 points. Seven or more day cruise it is 1500 points. The best way to get points are to play the slot machines. It takes longer at the table.

  3. Does Carnival offer a nonalcoholic mixed drink (virgin pina coladas, virgin daiquiris, etc) and specialty coffee package? We are traveling with a group of 11 and 1 of the travelers is a non-drinker. On another cruise line she was able to purchase a package like this.

    Thank you!!!

They have a bottom less bubbles program. Check their website for what is included on it.

  4. You could call and ask about the difference. You will receive a dou card as soon as you board as well as your traveling companion. If you are in the casino a lot this will make up for buying drinks elsewhere. Plus you receive gifts almost every night in your room. Special drawings just for premier guests and party. So all of this may make up the difference in room price. Have fun and win big.

  5. Thanks so much!

We were hoping to go to Maho to see the planes come in but I've heard we probably don't want to spend your entire day there - any ideas for after we see the planes?

Would love to have a driver for the day if we could find one that was reasonable but I haven't been able to find anything so far. This would probably be our only stop that we would actually "do" something.

We just went there last month. The cabs cost $20 each way to the beach. The only thing to do after watching the planes is to head to a restaurant (which are a little high priced) or $20 more dollars back to the ship. Also, watch what cab you hire. The police had us get out of one because the driver did not have proper paperwork for driving a cab. I'm glad they are watching out for the tourists.

  6. Slot machines are the easiest way to track your points. But since you only play the tables make sure you introduce yourself to the pit boss and the host. They are your best friends in the casino. If your buy in is a large amount make sure they notice it. I have seen many people ask about comps so don't feel uneasy about doing it. The pit boss can let you know if your close to getting your drinks on us card. The host would be for most other comps. Good luck and win big. That really gets their attention.

  7. And expect the limits on the tables to be much higher for this cruise, probably no $6 tables and $25 minimums for the most part.

There will be plenty of lower limit tables. Yes, they will have $25 minimum bets but they will also have the regular minimums. They know not everyone would play the higher tables.

  8. We have received some bb offers when others are booked but not many. To the poster who said they spend $50-60 a night. I don't believe that will get you anything. Make sure you have your email set up to receive offers from the players club. If you have opted out at one time or another then you will not get any offers. 5000 points is the amount needed for a dou card at the start of a cruise. 7500 points are needed to MAYBE get a bb. We have sailed 5 times this year with 3 more to go. One premier sailing and one elite casino. We are going on a b2b ultra cruise in December. The only cruise we have paid for (besides taxes and port fees) is the ultra where we choose to upgrade our room. I believe it takes more money than some of these posts are saying to receive the offers. I also think making friends with the casino host and pit boss helps.

  9. Just got an email from carnival saying they are doing staggered check-ins. How strict are they on this. I like to get to the port early since I fly in the night before. My time is between 1-2.

Go when you want. This is an email sent to everyone with different times to try to stager the arrival of guests. Especially if you purchased faster to the fun, don't go by their time.

  10. Wondering how the casino is on the Breeze. Is it larger than the casino's on the older ships? Is it smokey??? What slots do they have and has anyone hit any jackpots?

Hi, it is bigger than most. I don't think it is to smokey, but I smoke. I will say it gets very cold in there. Bring a sweater even if you cruise in August. The slots were really tight in March but a few did hit a very few jackpots. Good luck.

  11. My fiancé has got a free cruise. She most likely will again get a free drink card. She doesn't drink. I do. But I don't gamble much. Does anyone know a solution or have you encountered this. Last cruise they gave her a drink card and told her not to share your drinks. She got one drink and gave it to me, but was uneasy doing this too much. I do play table games but not enough to get the free drink card. All our money comes from the same kitty, so what's the difference.

Also I noticed last cruise that some people had a lanyard around they're neck with black cards in them at the poker table. They were free drink cards of some sort. My fiancé they just stuck a sicker on her card. Anyone have an idea what they were?

The lanyards are part of a casino cruise. It would say "Premiere, Ultra or Elite" on it. We automatically get free drink cards at the start of the cruise as one of the perks. It also tells the casino people (pit boss, host, servers etc.) who is on the special casino cruise.

  12. We will be on the ultra cruise on the breeze December 5th. This is our first ultra cruise. We are going on our second elite cruise in August. I have heard on other posts and people that the guest of the person invited is not included in the big drawings. The guest gets the drink card but not all the perks that the invitee gets. But hey I am still going and will enjoy myself. Good luck to all that get this great experience.

  13. Hi all, carnival has a three tier casino cruise. Premiere, ultra and elite. I am going on my first ultra in December on the breeze. My understanding of the ultra is they have bigger different giveaways than the premiere. But unlike the premiere and the elite, your guest will only receive the dou card but not entered in the special drawing. The higher the casino cruise the less people invited. So I always tell people if you get an invite jump on it fast. I have been on the elite cruises and they are very limited 40-50 (including your guest in that count). But all they do for you on an elite it is no wonder they have to limit it. I'll be on my 2nd elite cruise in August and I can't wait.

  14. Ok, thanks for the replies. Like I said, I don't gamble so I have no idea how that all works, ha ha! We won't bother with that route then.

My husband is not a heavy drinker but I can be if I want to. So I'm doing a cost analysis for the cheers program. Still undecided.

I have seen posts here and elsewhere that you need to drink 7-8 a day to break even. And they also cut you off after 15. I have had the cheers card a couple of times but I don't get it anymore. Too expensive since my boyfriend doesn't drink at all. Everyone over 21 in the cabin has to buy it.

  15. I have no offers... and that's after attending a Premiere cruise. Guess it's truly random :)

They say to watch for invitations in August if you cruise on a Premiere one. They will be having an ultra casino cruise sometime before year end. If you relieve the email I highly suggest responding ASAP. The spots are more limited than the premiere cruises. So I have heard.good luck hope you get some soon.

  16. Thanks for the info. I have heard, this year, the Ultra Invites will go out in Aug. Is that still correct as far as anyone knows/has heard?

Yes, from what we heard the invites go out in August. Hope to get one.

  17. Did anyone get the new Carnival Elite Offer? I got it last year and missed out because I did not respond right away. Got the offer again this week and responded right away and got it. So excited. I remember reading everyone's reviews last year and it sounded like they had a great time. If you have been on an Elite cruise, let me know how it was. Thanks.

Congrats. Which ship did you get. We will be on the dream. We were on the breeze in March. This is the top tier for carnival's casino cruises. It is very limited to the number of invites. Only 40 per cruise make it. You will be spoiled. Carlos and Liilian are the best hosts. Carnival will call a week or two before with more details and find out what you drink so it will be waiting for you when you get on board. Plus you drink for free anywhere on the ship. You will sign for drinks outside the casino like always but the casino takes everything off on the last night. Lots of drawings, steakhouse dinner, sail away party, free excursion (again carnival will send a list later) so much to tell I'm sure I have forgotten some. Hope you have great luck and lots of fun. When I say what you drink, I mean they will have pop or a bottle of liquor (I got a bottle of absolute) anything you want.
