Then at midnight we had a knock on the door.  One of the entertainers telling us we had to be packed and be in butterflies by 8.  Long story short, thought it was for all of us.  Woke everybody up and got them packing. Turns out just our cabin.  Long lines at GS to find this out.  Some packed and ready to go and some in limbo till rest of info comes thru.  To quote a Grateful Dead song “what a long strange trip its been”.

now if I could get our laundry we sent out…….

Oh how awful that you are gonna be split up from the rest of your party, I hope they have a fix for that too.

Sending good vibes and strength to you all on the rest of your travels and thank you for keeping us all informed on the situation as it was unfolding.

Safe travels and I hope your laundry catches up with you sometime.

At dinner,  def had the props do a hard bang and then continued heavy hard gyrations.  We have turned back to Kiel.  The Captain just came on an said there was a propulsion issue and they were assessing the situation.  We were headed north east and now headed sw at about 7 knots.  Typical azipod noises.  Will check out the aft churn later.

I'll keep everything crossed for ya that they can fix it and not impact your cruise too much.

My United flight was cancelled and they put me on an earlier one that leaves Heathrow at 1pm.  There are two Carnival shuttle buses, one leaving at 6:30am and one leaving at 7:30am.  If I take the latter one will I be at the airport on time or should I go with the earlier one?  Do the buses leave on time?  This will be on a Sunday morning, June 18th.

Hi, I'm in a similar position trying to get to Heathrow but haven't looked into Carnival transfers. Can I ask how much the Carnival transfer is please?

  4. We cancelled a cruise and were told we would receive our $900 deposit back as a FCC. That was over a month ago and we have heard nothing since.

Does anyone know how long it will take or how we go about finding out if we have it yet?

We booked the original cruise through the casino phone line and also cancelled through them, if that makes a difference.

    Hello,

Yes, on Anthem last week the first night pressing service was $17.95.

Or rather it would have been if the offer slip had been in my cabin on Day 1 and not delivered to me on Day 2!

Moreover, as Formal Night was Day 2 there was not enough time to book the regular pressing service either.

    Regards,

    Cublet

Ours was there when we got to our rooms AFTER formal dinner on the second night lol

    Hi all,

Long time watcher, first time poster!

Just got back off a B2B on the Jewel out of Limassol and found there was no duty free (Alcohol & tobacco) onboard.

I've got an upcoming Southampton "staycation" on the Anthem and a transatlantic (fingers crossed) on the Harmony. Don't want to get stuck mid Atlantic without my ciggies (apologies to non-smokers). Does anyone know if the Jewel not having alcohol / tobacco was just a blip, or is this to be expected on all sailings now??

Could you not even buy single packs over the bar on Jewel? I think there is no "duty free" as such because you were sailing wholly within the EU.

I heard that Anthem is selling over the bar, single packs, max 2 packs a day per person as there is no "duty free" as they are sailing wholly within the UK waters.

  7. Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know how the price of the drinks package is if you wait until you are onboard to buy?

I saw a post somewhere that said they were doing a buy one get one half price on board? We are undecided if we want/need it, we are used to the Diamond Lounge before covid *hic* lol and so not sure if with the 4 Diamond drinks per day at anytime would make the £47+ a day worth it or not.

Would be worth phoning to ask.

Another possibility might be to use your one chance only “change to booking ‘, at £100 admin fee per booking..you would still come out on top.

They wont talk to me as I booked through a travel agent and he isnt back in work until tomorrow.

Just thought I'd see if anyone has been successful so as he can be armed with info before he calls.

  9. Just booked the 10th July sailing on a whim lol

We had flights booked to go to the USA in June and i asked my TA to find out what our options were on changing them, he said the options were move them to another date and pay the $$$ fare difference (they were Upper Class on Virgin) or he could cancel them and we could use the full amount we paid on whatever we wanted to book through him, so we booked the cruise lol

Gutted we aren't going in a lay flat bed to Vegas but the will we/wont we get to go/will the borders open up or not was too much of a risk, and the full immediate refund was a no brainer and now im super excited to be going to the Greek Isles with flights and transfers included in the package, not a bad a consolation prize i reckon.
