My husband I ate at the Steakhouse on our last cruise.  It was on the Magic.  We had reservations I had made a few months before we cruised.  My husband really enjoyed eating there so we tried to eat there on two more different nights and they were booked.  They do serve some  of their main dishes in the dining rooms that you can order for an extra charge.

  2. We were in Grand Turk May 31st. I fretted over the golf cart rental. Contacted several companies, read reviews. Not a single company had a great review. I ended up making reservations with WetMoney. We walked out of the port and there were several companies asking if we needed a cart. Went to WetMoney and they had no idea we did have a reservation. We did get a cart from them. With all that being said, the cart was fun but I would have actually liked more beach time. We tried to split it 50/50. We rode around the island which if you leave the main roads, there is a lot of work to be done. I would go with the attitude if you get a cart, Great! If you do not, Grand Turk is beautiful. Enjoy!

  3. I completed the online reservation on 4/8 with Grand Turk Adventures and received the automated email response. It said someone would be in contact with me to confirm by reservation. However, I haven't received anything else. Anyone else have the same issue??

     

    I just read more reviews on tripadvisor and it sounds like to me it is more of a first come, first serve basis and does not matter if you have reservations or not. :(

    I had a terrible time getting any response from any of the golf cart companies. I finally did get an answer from Grand Turk but "no deposit needed and no confirmation number." Omar promises me we will have a cart and also said that not everything you read online is correct. He mentioned this because I stated other people had said they made a $10 deposit. We leave this weekend so I will let you know. I will be disappointed if we do not have a cart.

    I've made a deposit with Omar ($10). But I won't be arriving until late May so I cannot speak to the availability or condition of the golf carts.

    When do you sail? The golf cart renting has been very frustrating for me. We sail May 26. I finally got a confirmation # from Omar, but he told me he could not take deposits. I mentioned cruise critic and his words were "you cannot believe every thing you read on the internet" Did you make your deposit recently?

  6. We rented an ATV from Grand Turk Adventures (often referred to just as Omar on this board). He also rents golf carts. We were pleased with our interactions with them.

     

     

    Did you make a deposit? I have been in contact with him but I did not receive a confirmation # or make a deposit. Just a yes, you can have one! Makes me nervous.

  7. I just realized I didn't respond to the original post. We were in Grand Turk a few weeks ago.

    To rent a golf cart we had to leave the cruise center. The rentals were just outside the gate.

    There did not appear to be many extras sitting around for walk ups. But we were the 2nd ship there.

    It was only a $10 deposit to hold one so if you change your mind you aren't out the full price.

     

     

    I have been in contact with Omar through emails. He said we have a golf cart but he also said we do not need to make a deposit, and I also do not have a confirmation # from him. Do you think he has changed his policy? It makes me very nervous to not have made a deposit.

  8. We just had a great dinner in the Steakhouse on the Conquest. It was phenomenal. Steak was amazing. But the wife and I both ordered dessert from the kids menu. We ordered the banana split. Great size considering we were stuff from the main course [emoji15]. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

    I just might! ;p lol, or that banana split! I am really just going for my husband. Seriously, though, since you are paying the $35, I wondered if you could order from the kids menu if you desired.

  11. I am also very interested in reliable golf cart companies if anyone has recently used one. I've emailed a few and either received no response or it has taken several days to reply to me. The reply I did receive said they had a golf cart, but they take no deposit. How do I know they will hold one? I asked for a confirmation and never did hear back again. The reviews on tripadivsor of most companies are either not good or inconsistent. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks!

    We are sailing in May. Could you answer a couple of questions for me. I wondered about lines for the Comedy Club. How early do you recommend going? My other question is I would like to reserve the Steakhouse. This is our third cruise and we have never been. We do not like wine so it does not have to be the first night. Would you still make reservations on the first night or do you know of another night that works well. Thank you!

  13. Was just there in January we rented ahead of time grand Turk Adventures with Omar. He is the man. Kindest guy I have ever met... anyway it was us and another ship in port that day and there was still rentals available at alot of the companies. I think your chances are pretty high! Enjoy your trip!

    I have contacted Omar but he has been very slow with his responses. He finally said a cart was available and to let him know If I wanted it. I replied right away but again have not heard back. Did you make a deposit? How do I know he will have one available for us?

  14. I depends if they are all reserved and how fast you get there. We reserved with Omar at Grand Turk Adventures as did our friends. He was waiting right outside the gates with our golf carts ready to go. Another group came up and he had one cart not reserved, so they were able to get it.

     

     

    I have emailed him, used his website, and also emailed the addresss on his website and I have not heard a word back. Can you tell me how long it takes for him to get back ? I know some others commented he got right back to them. I have checked my spam.

  15. I have received two emails confirming that we have $240 onboard credit but our on-line booking only has $50. I have emailed out Carnival Personal Vacation Planner and called Carnival myself (she suggested this.) I was told that we do have the $240 but it will not show up in our cruise manager account. Any one help me with this? I do not want to lose this credit.
