  1. Oh My....I just realized I never stated the outcome.

Rented a car 2 days prior and visited KSC. It was fabulous. And gave us enough time to take our time and see what we really wanted to see.

Dropped the car off at AVIS and took their shuttle to the port. Easy, quick and very effortless.

After cruise I had booked Corcan ( I think ) private transfer to airport. $20 each. We were off the ship earlier than I had thought. I found the gentleman with the sign. Told him my name and what time my shuttle was booked for. Which was 45 minutes later. He had two seats left on the shuttle departing at that moment. So moved us to there. We got on, bus took off. Arrived at the Hyatt shortly after 9. Checked in for the day use. Best $99 I have ever spent. We relaxed all day at the pool catching some last minute sun. Had the room for a nap if we liked and a shower before catching our flight. Loved that you had access to the airport for food and drink and coffee.

I will absolutely book both the shuttle from the port and the Hyatt again.

Can I ask how you went about getting that day rate? Did you call in? Thanks in advanced.

  2. Ahoy All,

I was looking into booking a fishing charter and was looking to get some real life experience from someone that has fished in these ports... What are your thoughts? Any suggestions on what to look for? Any recommendation on a good charter service? Any help Please!

Oh and we are a family of 4 adults sailing on Explore of the Seas - Aug 4th - 11th 2017

    Thanks!

  3. We are a group of 6 (16 – 70) on Anthem from 6thJuly doing Bermuda & Caribbean and looking at excursions or tour recommendationswith private reputable operators open to all ideas

    Ports

    • KINGS WHARF, BERMUDA
    • PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAARTEN
    • SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO
    • LABADEE, HAITI

    Thanks

    For Philipsburg, St Maarten give:

Joyce Hanley-Prince a call. She is great and knows her stuff.

She can cater a private tour just for your group. Strongly recommend her!

And tell her Brent from Los Angles told you to call her...

  4.

    Here's what it says:

Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the starboard side of all ships; with the exception of Oasis-class ships that will allow smoking on the port side of the ships. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking. On Oasis class, smoking is not permitted in Central Park or the Boardwalk neighborhoods.

So does anyone know where the "designated outdoor area" on the port side of the ship is? I'm not trying to be picky but just curious???

Better yet, which staterooms are just below the choking/smoking area???

  5. Not really true. If you know where to punch, it can be done without damaging the card. I just did a search on here and there's lots of posts about how it was done successfully on board. You can even find the X-rays that have been taken.

And if you did damage the card,GS will give you a new one.

But frankly, why not just buy the clear sleeve lanyard?

I'm sailing on Anthem in a couple of weeks, can you give me an idea as to where I can punch my card please? Which side? Right/Left/Top/Bottom???

    Thanks!;)

  6. Just booked a balcony cabin on Anthem Category D1 Cabin 13248. Looking at the picture it seems to be a trianglular shape and not straight rectangular like most of the other ones nearby. Is is larger or not a good choice. I told the agent I wanted midship and this is what he recommended. Just wondering why the room seems set back more and the balcony is shaped different

I would say you have a great cabin. Larger than most balconies.:) You will be under the teen lounge "The Living Room" shouldn't hear any noise in the early morning of dragging deck chairs etc. :D I believe the smoking section is on the starboard side of the ship so no worries there...:D

I have the cabin right next door cabin 13246 booked for late June sailing.

Anyone have a prior experience that can say forsure???

  7. Hi All,

Anyone know how good the texting part of the app works on Anthem? What sort of time delay are we talking about?

We would really like to have some sort of communication on board the ship.

We did a Princess cruise last year and their app worked out well.

    Thanks,

  8. I would usually say take the private excursion because they will get you back and they are usually 1/2 the price. BUT - We booked a zip-line tour in Jamaica with a private company. We had to wait for all the cruise excursions to go before we were allowed. We waited about 3 hours.

The best excursion I have ever done from a cruise ship in 23 cruises was the Blue Hole with Liberty Tours (Richardo Riley). We did this in March 2016 off the Oasis. Check it out.

I will vouch for Liberty Tours and Ricardo...1st Class Service and you'll love the Blue Hole!!! :D:D:D

  9. We are wondering the same thing.

We also have a cabin booked just under "The Living Room" used by the teens.

(Cabin #13246) What should I expect as far as noise?

Anyone have any past experience from this cabin good / bad?

    Thanks,

PS- As long as I don't get a smoker from my neighbors I guess that will be a major plus!!! UGH!!! :D:D:D
