  1. Sometimes when I see these hurricane "cones" I think of Get Smart. Anyone else?
  2. Good idea - it's the stuff you can't see that can kill you.
  3. They don't call it MARDI GRAS for nuttin'! 😁 🏴‍☠️
  4. Mr. Paul I hope you are enjoy the extra comfort ride of my Kia, many people compliment the comfort like a bus. Don't pay attention to smell, &#*$% cut off the catalytic converter again.
  5. Luah means "Jewish Calendar?" Hock/Hawk Tuah is FUN!
  6. Murano Town Crier: "2:30am in Venice and all is well!" B is awakened and thinking of the 3:30 airport-departure time, turns to TX Teach: "Wakey, wakey, hands off snakey."
  7. I meant to attach that post to the pic of the trashy courtyard in Murano. It probably made no sense attached to the pics of the hotel. Nice choice, central to walking everywhere. I also always choose a hotel that is ~5 minute walk to both Ponte Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Did you know the Jewish "Ghetto" was invented by the Venetians in the 1500s? That's why "ghetto" sounds Italian (not German). You can still see the iron gates and holes in the building walls, where Jews were locked into the ghetto at night "to protect them."
  8. World of difference between Venice and Murano. It's like Texas, think of Venice as Dallas Uptown, Murano as Fort Stockton.
  9. Choosing a hotel right by the vaporetto stop is expert Venice/Murano/Burano/Lido travel. Even more so in Venice proper with all the stairs and bridges. I'm so excited for your day in Venice! I wish you were staying three nights. Don't forget Piazza San Marco after dark.
  10. Just from the photos of the sunsets TXTeach shared, I think this cruise had more amazing sunsets than any I've been on. Agreed this one with mostly yellow is outstanding!
  11. Back home... Friends of TXTeach: "So did the casino take all your money?" TXTeach (proudly, head high): "Nope."
  12. The way we learned it in 6th grade - stalactites grow from the ceiling stalagmites grow from the ground.
  13. Trying to compete with Carnival, something was lost in the translation. Seuss Parade, people, NOT Sous Parade.
  14. That guac looks like the sorry guac on Carnival. Chili dog looks good though!
