Someone said on the boards that you receive a free bottle of wine when you book your reservations for the first night, my question is, is that Saturday or the Sunday (the first real night at sea)? I would appreciate any replies.

Does anyone know the time of the shows in the evening? Is there a show before/after each dinner seating? I have searched the boards and have not found any information about the timing of the shows.

Hubby doesn't spend $5 bills, so we have that money to spend in addition to the sign and sail card. I am not a shopper so I really only spend a tiny bit in the casino and excursions.

Kim,
Another water question, how deep is the adult pool? It looks like the markings on the side of the pool say 6' or deeper. Is this the case? I CAN go in the water as long as my hubby is around to "save" me. LOL
Really enjoyed all the pictures and can hardly wait until it's our turn in February.

Just wondering how deep the water is, where you were snorkling? I don't swim but love to snorkel with a "hot dog of life".
Great pictures and review. Looking forward to reading the review and more pictures.

Really enjoying the review of the Spirit (we sail her 2/5/12). The only thing I question is the fact that your little princess, at age 3, was able to zip line alone. Boy, I would have a serious problem with that. My kids are grown and gone on their own and I worry about them all the time (they are 39 and 30).

Open a can of ravioli for hubby and a frozen waffle for me.

Are you out in the township? I am heading there today to go to Bridgewater Falls.

I've been gone for quit awhile, but still here!
We are leaving in about 80 days for a cruise that we had to cancel because I was in the hospital.

I have not read through all the pages, so I don't know if it has been suggested, but we always take an air freshener with us. Just makes the room a little more sweet smelling! I usually get one of the car mirror hangy thing, and then just leave it there when we leave.

I, too, read on a cruise. I can't imagine NOT reading something for an entire day let alone a whole week.
I can recommend American Wife. It loosely based on Laura Bush. I found it to be one of those books that are hard to put down.
Happy Cruising!!

It's about 6 degrees here in the suburbs of Cincinnati.
Only 29 more days until we sail!

If transplanted (23 years ago) Ohioians count, then we love to love to cruise. We try to go at least once a year with friends and are right now looking forward to going in February. I will try to watch this board and maybe enter a conversation once in awhile.
We live in Fairfield, OH, about 30 miles out of Cincinnati.

American Wife. Can't put it down.

I THINK I may have played this game on our very first cruise many years ago, and if that was the Quest game we laughed until we p**ed. Have not seen it on another ship since. But then maybe I just missed it. Was a really great time.

Um, if my spouse died before we could leave on our cruise, I really don't think the first, ok, the second thing, that I would be concerned about was if the cruise line was going to charge me the single's supplement instead of the couple cost. Maybe, I would be more concerned about the fact that my hubby had died instead of the cost of a cruise.
But then, that's just me!

DarkJedi,
Just because they can make a dress in your size, does NOT mean you should wear it.

I hate to admit it, but I am in my 50's and I still sleep with a stuffed owl. I even have a travel sleep owl that has gone all over the world with us and has slept in many hotels and on many cruise ships. I never take my "at home owl" with us when we travel, because I have lost 1 owl on a cruise, and I was heartbroken.

Does anyone know of any good books that take place on a cruise?

We just put the dirty clothes in the suitcase under the bed. That way you don't waste space on the closet floor.
