Yes, as long as they sail in 202.  cancelled cruises obviously would not count

Great - thanks so much.  Again, don't even want to think that these cruises won't go in '21....

Course now I'm thinking about booking air.  Would rather fly from Miami than Toronto to BCN but what if our border is STILL closed?  Better make sure fare is refundable.

Should be so long as they sail in 2021.  If they push again into 2022 then no.

"...existing bookings made prior to October 19, 2020..."

Thank you.  Guess since RC cancelled most of them, it's ok.   Heavens, don't even want to think about pushing cruises into '22.

All this talk about blocks has made realize these double points are getting me another one sooner. I'm glad I get something out of it has I'm highly unlikely to get to Pinnacle on points..... EVER.

They make great paper weights.   And discovered that blocks work as a magnifier too.....

mRNA is very complicated.  Here is a Cambridge article that tries to break it down simply.  1000 years ago, I studied biochem.  Today I own a Physics based AI company so I understand it fairly well but still doubt that I could explain it.  This should help.

Hey - thanks.  That is excellent description.  A little confused - so basically, no one knows how it works or if it will work?

I am in the Orlando Pfizer COVID vaccine study and have received both the vaccine and the booster 4 weeks later.

I travel every week for business and have a new grandson.  In addition, I have two disabled adult children, one with health issues, so having immunity as soon as possible was worth the risk of participating in the trial.

This is my experience and information I have been given.

The vaccine’s predominate side effect is a very sore arm, worse than a tetanus shot but not as bad as Shingrex.  The booster causes a bit more soreness than the first vaccine.  Also, I felt a bit under the weather the day after both injections, not as bad as Shingrex but just a little off.

The efficacy so far is in line with major vaccines like small pox, diphtheria, Shringrex.... fairly close to 100% effective.  The virus is structurally nothing like the flu so the vaccines are completely different animals, comparing the flu vaccine efficacy to the COVID vaccine is like comparing apples to broccoli.

The Pfizer vaccine is an RNA vaccine, there is no live virus so chances of getting Covid from the vaccine are 0%.  Moderna is the same.  I believe that Astra Zeneca is using a biological delivery system so their’s is completely different.  I can’t comment on how that works.

The Pfizer vaccine developed so quickly because AI and quantum computing are driving data analysis.  AI and quantum computing can now quickly analyze trillions of data sets that just a few years ago took five years.  Now that same data set can be deciphered in less than one minute.  Northwestern University is a major contributor to the computing aspect.

Our study was supposed to end today for first round immunizations but the trial was extended for two weeks.  Anyone in the Orlando area over 70 or an essential worker, if interested, give Pfizer a call ASAP.  They give you $250 for each visit and $5 per week for reporting.  The compensation is nominal and I would have happily paid them to be in the study as I am now immune to the disease.

Approval is anticipated in October and production is already in full force.  I have no idea when it will be delivered.  The goal is to get it out before flu season is in full force, although, Pfizer has spend billions on development and every day is costing them millions of dollars so they, of course, will deliver as soon as is humanly possible.

I read that the US government bought 400 million doses but I can not verify that as everything I read has an agenda one way or the other so I take it all with a grain of salt.

I can, however, from my first hand experience, say that the Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective for me.  No one in Pfizer phase two or three has had any serious side effects and almost 100% have developed antibodies that are more than adequate to keep COVID at bay.  A few people in phase one who were given very high experimental dosages had passing out episodes but that was the most severe reaction and the current dosages are much lower.

Thats my experience.  I hope it helps people decide.

Did some "googling" - apparently there has never been an RNA vaccine produced before.  Moderna is making the 1st one ever.  There's no history at all of how the RNA works. Instead of putting virus into your body to make antibodies, RNA triggers your cells to produce antibodies.  Think that's how they describe it.  Never been done before.   Wonder how we can find more info about exactly what's in this vaccine?  Did they give you that when you did the clinical trial?

The article pretty well explains why:

"This is a unique situation where we as a company simply cannot take the risk if in ... four years the vaccine is showing side effects," Ruud Dobber, a member of Astra's senior executive team, told Reuters.

"In the contracts we have in place, we are asking for indemnification. For most countries it is acceptable to take that risk on their shoulders because it is in their national interest," he said, adding that Astra and regulators were making safety and tolerability a top priority.

So does this mean that any side effects from the vaccine may not show up until after four years?  Wow.

Sorry...I didn't see that detail time frame in your post. I would still suggest you call to have this done.

I would luv to but the price of Enchantment cruises all jumped today.  Should've booked before!!  Oh well.  Guess RC putting kibosh on people booking cheapo cruises to L&S??   A wait & see...

I may be wrong but I don't think the Xmas bookings are available for L&S.

Also L&S is price protected from what your lifting from, not the prices you're

seeing lifting too...Your original price is lifted over, other than some minor change in port fees and taxes

as long as it's meets the criteria.

If you have any questions call RCI directly...my L&S was very easily done by them.

Thanks.  I have already done a L&S for a Thanksgiving cruise (Rhapsody to Harmony) with no problems.

Understood that as long as cruise was Xmas to Xmas - could be done?

Before or after final payment  is fine.  If Royal cancels the cruise they have been giving  people approximately 2 weeks after they announce the cancellation to lift and shift.

Thank you.  Excellent to know this.  Was keeping an eye on Enchantment Xmas cruise to L&S.  But looks like all the prices have just jumped today.  Maybe the cheap L&S is over?

  10. Hi all,

Getting a little nervous hearing about the shareholder dividend being cancelled.  So just in case it makes a difference, submitted request to RC for shareholder credit for upcoming Fall cruises today at 5:00 pm.  It's now 9:14 pm - received confirmation from RC that credit has been applied to all six cruises.  Wow - don't know if that's a record but pretty impressed.

VP Pence was  just on TV concerning the Moderna vaccine.  They most definitely will be using a test group that will receive a placebo along with "broad segment of the population"  who will be part of the group.

I get a flu shot every year - I fail to see why that would be an issue with a C19 vaccine?

Great - thanks for this!  Can getting a flu shot put you at increased risk for virus infections?  There is some question about all the seniors who died in nursing/senior homes from covid.  Were they at risk if it was a requirement at the nursing home to have the flu shot????

  12. Hi all,

I will more than likely get vaccine when available, but did find some interesting facts....

Covid-19 Testing:  People who are most vulnerable won't be part of the testing.  They will be using "exclusionary criteria" to test, eg. test subjects can not be pregnant, not overweight, have never smoked or vaped, have no respiratory problems in your family, no asthma, no diabetes, no rheumatoid arthritis, no auto-immune disease, no history of seizure in your family. Looks like no typical Americans included, only super healthy.

Is this true?  Ddoes anyone know of someone involved in one of the clinical trials that does have health issues?

Vaccines are only medical product that doesn't have to be tested against placebos (CDC).  Nor will there be any animal testing testing of the Covid-19 vaccine (LiveScience - Nicolletta Lanese March. 13, 2020.

Flu vaccine has been around since approx. 1938.  Was originally marketed to take only once in lifetime.  Now you take it once a year because new strain every year.  Will you need to take Covid-19 vaccine every year?

$500 million of U.S. taxpayer funds have been put into Moderna vaccine research - NIH/Fauci own half the patent

FDA has 50% of their budget from vaccine companies.   CDC has 11.5 billion budget - 4.9 billion of that is buying/selling and distributing vaccines.  CDC owns 57 vaccine patents

In 1976, a swine flu outbreak hit New Jersey, which incited fears of a new pandemic, so President Gerald Ford announced that the federal government would vaccinate all Americans. Congress approved $137 million for producing a vaccine for this purpose before flu season started. Unfortunately, hundreds of people developed Guillain-Barré syndrome (which causes nerve damage and paralysis) after receiving this vaccine, making many people fear it. The Ford family tried to alleviate fears by televising getting their flu shots, but ultimately the swine flu vaccination program was cancelled.

    "Trust but Verify"
    Cheers,
